The Big "O"

Quote the Raven, nevermore.
Ok so I just got finished watching the newest Z True Long Island Story and they showed a clip from Zack's buddy, The Big "O"'s first match. I have to say, for a first match it didn't look all that bad and he actually has a pretty decent look that would fit the WWE. So my question is, should WWE hire him and have him train in FCW until he can be called up to team with Zack Ryder? It would be a new team and a refreshing scene for the tag division. Especially when the only legit tag teams right now are...

Epico & Primo
Hawkins & Reks
The Usos

What do you think?

I'm glad that you've mentioned this. I actually watched that episode this morning and have to agree wholeheartedly with your assessment. From seeing him on Z! True Long Island Story, I think that The Big O would be a perfect fit for - if not a tag partner per se - then certainly a bodyguard/enforcer type. He has the sort of look that Vince creams himself over, doesn't look too shabby between the ropes and from his promo segments on the Youtube show seems to have a sufficient amount of charisma for a big guy, as well as a good chemistry with Zack. Would kind of like to see the big O accompany Zack when he comes back from his "injuries" as protection against Kane perhaps.

Ok..wait. It didn't look bad for a first match? They didn't show the match. They showed him deliver 2 moves. Didn't show him sell, didn't show how he bumps, didn't show him working the crowd, didn't show any psychology (which is very important) from him at all. Didn't show him anything but bump another guy twice. As for his look, talk to mason ryan about how far looks will take you. Just saying. He may be great, but trying to assess somebody from a 10 second clip, c'mon, are you serious bro?

hmmm......i don't see BIG O as a great in ring performer YET, but as an enforcer like DIESEL yes. he has a great look and is intimidating both physically and voice wise

You're right, The Big O has got to be greener than The Incredible Hulk...we didn't see much of the match (I didn't watch the full match either), but we did get to see that the guy at least has some training (however little that may or may not be).

I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth, but I think that's the reason why nbieclkl91 suggested that WWE put him in FCW to train. As others have already stated in this thread, The Big O does have a certain charisma and obviously has great chemistry with Zack.

I think that this is a great idea! The first time I saw The Big O on ZTLIS, I thought he might be an FCW guy already...and that Zack was using his show as a way to push the WWE into bringing him up to the main roster to act as his bodyguard/tag-team partner/what-have-you.

The WWE would have to have rocks in their heads to not at least give The Big O a try-out. If they think he's too green, then they can let him try out again after a year or whatever.

By the way -- did anyone else think that The Big O was the inspiration to pair Robbie E & Robbie T up on Impact? The first time I saw "The Robbies" together on IW that was the first thing that came to mind.

That was Big O's first ever match, that's why he was so green. Didn't help the guy he was facing was an awful seller too. I say give him a year down at NYWC (where no doubt he will become their champion due to his popularity), let him have more matches, get the experience, THEN Vince/Laurenitis can give him a FCW contract.

It would be a shame if the Big O isn't in a WWE ring in 2 years time.

The guys has lots of charisma, he's hilarious. He would definitely dominate on the mic no problem, but you can tell just by looking at him his wrestling ability would suck absolute balls. Give it some time and I'm sure WWE will eventually show interest.

In about 3-4 years of him paying his dues and working on his craft then maybe FCW, until then he's where he belongs. The Lowest rung of the industry.

How is this even a topic? There are so many other up-and-coming wrestlers that are so much better than this crap. I swear, he's nothing more than Batista meets Jersey Shore. I would rather have Chris Hero and Dean Ambrose make their way up to the WWE roster than see this sad excuse of a wrestler anywhere near a ring.

In 2015, we'll see. But for now? Hell no.

I just don't get why the WWE promotes his videos, which utilizes non-wwe talent, and doesn't capitalize. Seriously. Bring in The Big O for a bodyguard role while he learns to wrestle in FCW. The fans already know him from the youtube show....just change that weak taunt of his. Down the line when he can wrestle have Chi come in and manage their team.

UH-OH ITS THE BIG-O!

I love the charisma of this guy! His ring work will improve. He promos for Z!TLIS and Chi!TLIS are amazing.

I don't think we will see him on WWE TV for a while, but he may get there.

Big O has a long way to go before he's even ready for FCW. He's got the look and the charisma, but he needs to learn how to wrestle. He would really benefit from having Regal coach him. I mean he's obviously trying to be just another Batista in there (and poorly at that), he should be learning how to be something different.
