Just finished The Mist, and was so blown away I had to write about it.
I know this movie has been discussed before on these boards, but I was simply blown away.
The ending was great, yet truly terrible. By great, I mean well written, emotional, and surprising. By terrible, I mean tragic, sad and heartbreaking.
Nice to see a movie that can mix horror with intense emotion, and loveable and hate able characters.
Anyone who has seen this film knows what I mean by hate. The religious bitch got me to the point where I nearly damaged my TV.
Hope I'm not being annoying by starting a thread that is basically just an opinion, but I heard people giving the Mist great reviews on this site.
Glad I watched it. Stephen King and the Director did a great job.
Acting was top notch, too. Amazing how a movie that basically takes place mostly in one location could be so riveting.
Thanks to the people on this board who basically, through their positive feedback towards the movie, made me rent it.
3 thumbs us, for us mutants.
