Team WWF (Vince) vs Team WWE (HHH)

THEpapachamp

YOUR POST IS GONNA GET GOT!!!
An interesting storyline I've recently came to think of would be a Mcmahon vs HHH fued. With Vince Mcmahon coming back confronting HHH stating that this current product isn't his creation. The WWF was his creation and the WWE he was forced to create is a joke and HHH could never do what he had for the company, claiming that he wants to come back with his creation the WWF (trademarked by the world wildlife foundation I know but this is for creative purposes only)

Now imagine this as a nWo type invasion with Vince and his WWF team trying to take over the WWE and it comes down to a tradional 5 on 5 survivor series match Vince's Team WWF vs. HHH's Team WWE

Who would you have on each team? Legends are welcome to partipate

This is impossible to happen but IF it could it would probably go like this..

Team Vince : Rock, Austin, Undertaker, Hogan & Angle vs. Team HHH : Cena, Batista, Orton, Jericho & Mysterio

Those are the first guys that came to mind. There are plenty of others that could be used.

No.

For one this is almost too much like ECW originals vs New Blood, TNA Originals vs MEM...in otherwords ITS BEEN DONE.

I want to see WWE move forward...not backward. This is just living in the past and bringing the past back up. The WWF died. Lets not forget about those who came before, but lets not keep relying on them either.

It should always be about pushing new and younger talent. IF this were to happen, you would have to push it in a way where the younger talent goes over the old talent.

Why is everyone trying to recreate old storylines lately?

@thepapachamp...actually this would be very interesting. It wouldn't even be predictable. The kids who never saw the NWO storylines will think it's just as interesting as we did then, and if done right we'll be happy to see it again. Maybe something like:

HHH, CM Punk, Foley (maybe?), John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio, The Miz, Shamus and Truth (who becomes a sell out to try and get to the top when the conspiracy runs dry....which ultimately sets up a possible second conspiracy run as a face later on). This could potentially create:
*a fued between hhh and Punk (which I think someone posted at some point was a possibility).
*provide john cena a point to jump ships and turn heel under mcmahon for a couple months, giving the rock the "ive been there" promos and ultimately cena could turn face at mania. (long shot but would be interesting)
*Give foley a reason to come back as is rumored
*Possible face change for shamus because of his friendship with HHH
*Keep Miz and Rio relevant, though if the other guys in the match aren't already champ I would expect at least one of them to be. I mostly chose them because they seem like the most logical "sellouts".

I see the Mcmahon group as basically sell outs that have had their WWE contracts bought out by Vince, personally, in his attempt to win back the WWE. I wouldn't call them the WWF, necessarily, but something relevant to the storyline would be nice.

The trademark thing would be a problem, but other than that it could work. All they would have to do it have a few great promo's.

Triple H could talk about how Vince's vision of the WWE has been in the toilet ever since he put the strap on Cena. It would work well with Punk's great shoot. He could talk about ratings and buy rates being down because Vince doesn't know what people want anymore. Vince comes back with an "I made you, and you would all be nothing without me" speech. Triple H responds with an I'm looking at the future of MY company while your stuck in the past speech.

Team Vince
Cena
Orton
Miz (billed as "the guy Vince thought would be great" by Hunter)
Kane
Undertaker

Team HHH
Triple H
CM Punk
Danial Bryan
Sheamus
Alberto Del Rio

No, it's been done. In pro wrestling, the nostalgic team almost always gets more over because people always remember the past for fondly. Like I said, if you're going to do a past vs future thing, you have a past guy lead a team of modern stars he feels are the future against another guy from today who has a team of his guys.

Doing past vs present usually hurts the new guys because they have to make it look like these old fucks who are beyond their prime can hang with them. The Past vs Present thing only works for one off epic confrontations (Hogan vs Rock, Rock vs Cena).

I can see Vince trying to take the company back over. Don't make it tude era vs PG era (mostly because the PG era has to happen and you'll devalue one side or the other by doing this given the current climate).

This sounds like Survivor Series (2003) Team Bischoff vs. Team Austin all over again hahaha. Okay if this we're to happen I believe Vince would be bitter about the whole situation making him a heel and HHH being a face saying it was for the best for the company then prompting a match for 100% control of WWE, this would be the teams I think:

Team Vince
R-Truth
Miz
Wade Barrett
Christian
Cody Roodes

Team HHH
Randy Orton
John Cena
John Morrison
Daniel Byran
A-Ry

The teams are a perfect 5 for 5 Raw and Smackdown mix, classic Face vs Heel teams and leaves the WWE Championship out of the feud with HHH and VKM if Punk is still champ that is.

I actually think you could make it a little better have have it like this .

Vince comes back saying the board and HHH & Stepth forced him to go in a family friendly direction and he had no choice and in doing so forced Shane O'mac out of the WWE

The you have

Team Vince and Shane Vs HHH & Stepth

Vince & Shane

Rock
Y2J
Big show
Kane
Mark henery
Undertaker
Christian
Trish

HHH & Stepth

Sheamus
Cena
Bryan
Wade Barrett
Miz
Punk
ADR
Kelly Kelly

Nope, cant see this idea working because where does The Rock fit into this event? You think they will bump a potential Team Rock and Team Cena match down the pecking order for a Vince/Triple H one???

Triple H and Vince is potentailly a huge storyline. Maybe have this one at Wrestlemania as a joint main event (they normally plug 3/4 huge matches).

No. Absolutely not. Not ever will this happen, and I don't even understand how this is even remotely a logical thought for you. Here's a little history about the company that EVERYONE should know by now.

The WWF transitioned into the WWE, because the acronym WWF was taken by the World Wide Fund for Nature before the World Wrestling Federation came along. (Not the exact details, but just to sum it up) The WWE was sued for quite a bit of money, which is why you'll never see the WWF back on Wrestling television again.

As for your overall faction question, yes. There should be a Vince McMahon vs Triple H faction at this point. I'm honestly not sure where they're going to run with this.

I'd like to see a Team Vince vs Team Hunter feud but not exactly at this point. There is a lot of great stuff happening in the WWE at this point and I do not want all of that stuff to be overshadowed by a feud of this magnitude. I do not want Cena/ Punk or Cena/Rock or any other feud currently running in the WWE to become a part of this feud. This has the potential feud that can be the biggest story in the WWE for a year or even more but I do not want that to happen anytime soon.

However, if this happened at some point around 2012, I am all for it. I would like to see Vince maybe taunt HHH that he panders too much to the crowd as a manager and knows too little about the business to be successful in this role. Maybe you could have each guy taking over a respective brand. There are a lot of ways in which this feud can begin, proceed and culminate but no matter what route it takes, it will be a very good storyline.

I love this idea!! The members of each team could have so many different themes. We could go with current Faces vs. current Heels, Legends vs. Superstars, Raw vs. Smackdown, etc. Here are some of the teams I would like to see at Survivor Series 2011.

Scenario 1

Team Heels (VKM)
CM Punk
Christian
The Miz
Alberto Del Rio
R-Truth

vs.

Team Faces (HHH)
John Cena
Randy Orton
Rey Mysterio
Daniel Bryan
John Morrison

Scenario 2

Team Tomorrow (VKM)
Christian
The Miz
Sheamus
Jack Swagger
Dolph Ziggler

vs.

Team Today (HHH)
John Cena
Randy Orton
Rey Mysterio
Big Show
Kane

Scenario 3

Team Legends (VKM)
Stone Cold Steve Austin
The Rock
Undertaker
Kane
Big Show

vs.

Team Superstars (HHH)
John Cena
Christian
Ezekiel Jackson
Dolph Ziggler
Zach Ryder

1.) I really think Vince should stay gone. There's potential for a small feud where he comes back and tries to take control of the company, leading to some sort of goodbye match at WrestleMania, sure. But once he's had his final farewell, he needs to stay gone. It's time to switch gears, and the fans need to know they are committed to going in a "new direction".

2.) It's too meta for Vince. Having the owner of a company come out and say their current product sucks is business suicide. You want to present yourself as the best in the world, which the WWE has capitalized on perfectly. Triple H needs to push himself as the new figurehead, and not "resurrect" a good product, but rather push forward to make things even better.

3.) No more attitude era. No more WWF. Keep the past in the past, and bring forth something completely new.

I could not agree with you anymore! Vince needs to stay "retired" the character has run it's course. The Mr. McMahon character is synonomous with the Attitude Era and the past of the WWE. I hate all of these posts talking about how great the Attitude Era was and how it needs to come back, which is what this posts is in a round about way IMHO. The Attitude Era was awful, if Austin, Rock, Foley, Taker, Kane, Jericho, Angle and those guys wouldn't have made the best of bad booking the Era would have fell on it's face. Sure the roster then was great, but this one is pretty damn good if you give it a chance. I think Triple H's character should promote youth though, maybe even after SummerSlam have the young guns chase the titles. It could work being that the next "big PPV" isn't until November and even Survivor Series doesn't get promoted as a huge event anymore. As long as these young guys keep getting destroyed by Cena, Orton and even Christian, Mark Henry and Mysterio they are never going to build talent. Even if they do get beat, make them give one hell of an effort. Look at Fully Loaded 2000, I seen that as somewhat of a changeover in WWE. You had Rock vs. Benoit, Triple H vs. Jericho and Taker vs. Angle and although the vets won, the younger guys gave them hell, and made fans take notice. I think putting Del Rio or even Riley, Kofi or Morrison in the title picture on Raw and Barrett, Cody Rhodes or Daniel Bryan in the title picture on Smack Down would do a lot for their characters and future booking. There is no need to bring back older guys and only promote the same old batch of younger guys, when you have a talented undercard that is dire need of a push.

i like this idea...with Night of champions being the PPV that follows on from Summerslam and with every title being on the line i see this as a great chance to give the young guys that chance to shine! Afterwards you could say that was the PPV when the changing of the guard happened! Let cena win the title at summerslam and have him put over punk at NOC. Maybe let cody have the chance as WHC. Make the tag titles actually mean something. Let ryder win the US title and move Ziggler up to the next level. Give Ted DiBiase the IC title. These are just possibillities but i think NOC could be a great show to get over a new era of talent and maybe bring some credibillity back to being a champion.
