Okies so for the past couples of weeks they have had the Awesome Kong challenge and then finally it comes to an end last week on iMPACT when Taylor Wilde beats Kong surprise surprise. She then succesfully defends the title against Kong at Victory Road. But does anyone else get the feeling that this isnt the the hot push and then new excitement that TNA wanted to create with this. In other words do you think they have done a good job of building Taylor up and giving her the championship? I personally think that giving a randomer the championship does ultimatly push them to the top already in that division but then surely that makes everyone else look rubbish if they cant beat Kong and she can.

So my question Taylor Wilde hot or not? Good or Bad?

I think they Punk'd her the title. In complete honesty, I'm still dumb-founded by the shear fact that they built Awesome Kong up as not just such a dominate female in the Knockouts' division, but also had her as a legit. threat to some of the men. (remember the Wildcard tag team titles thing?)

So when some "fan" (because thats all Taylor is suppose to be seen as) just randomly enters the situation, defeats Kong.. then defeats her again. I think it completely destroys everything Kong has stood for. Kong, especially to me, is no longer dominate and if anything.. she's the new "Kane" of the female division. Sure, they'll still push her as monsterous and dominating, but she lost to a "fan" so why should I see Kong as anything impressive anymore?

Meanwhile, what am I suppose to think of Taylor? What build has she had? She was a fan who got two fluke victories. So now they'll have her drop the Championship, or they'll begin pushing her into an undefeated streak. Either way, its only ruining their Women's division.

Whoever thought the whole "Fan Challenge" storyline was something completely worth going with, is a moron. Obviously Santino is a huge success because of debuting as a fan. Clearly Chris Masters' "Master-Lock Challenge" was a huge success and took him to new found glory.

As far as I'm concerned, Taylor can't get gone fast enough. And Kong is the new "bust." Which ironically makes her a perfect fit for the T&A division of T.N.A.

so what if kong lost 2 matches to 1 person, doesnt really matter as much to me. and for the santino thing, he beat umaga...and umaga still was dominant and won back the title, and was still didnt automatically stop winning, (atleast not until he lost to HHH, cena, hardy, lashley..) but as long as TNA doesnt do that to kong ill still think that shes a monster, and i think taylors pretty hot, she was pretty good in her matches and i was hopin that we'd get a new women's champ sometime cause kong has had the title for a bit now

Big fan of Shantelle Taylor (Taylor Wilde)! She's done great things here in Ontario, and then in OVW. Her dark matches on the SmackDown roster against Chavo were great. It has been posted in the past, she wrestled under a hood so the fans wouldn't know she was a woman. Again, we're all proud of her on this end.

See alot of you are mising the point. The first couple of weeks were made to look as if it was just random fans being chosen out of the crowd that were getting their asses handed to them by Kong. By week three the storyline was supposed to be that the challenge was now attracting females wrestlers from around the world to come and take part in the challenge. Much how some of the reality contest shows like American Idol and Last Comic Standing now allow people with past experience to compete.

But if you remember, the week where former WCW personality Daphne appeared was the week where they started "recognizing" women who were stepping forward as actual wrestlers. They did this to show that all of the real competition in female wrestling was coming to TNA to try for a chance at the TNA Women's world title. I think that the concept is pretty much the Santino Marella storyline, but with a much better twist and a more more legit look. So it's is pretty much quick judgment for anybody to just look at how the angle began and blow it off as a just a "fan" beat Kong. Because that is not what it was. Not in the least.

Did TNA actually address this as such though? I don't recall them recognizing female wrestlers on TV and thought that either you knew they were wrestlers or you didn't. If TNA did acknowledge them as wrestlers then great job and a lot of people here are missing that. If they DIDN'T mention that (which again, I don't recall) they missed the boat big time there.

I do happen to like Taylor though. I think she's pretty hot looking and is decent in the ring. I'll never be sold on a woman's division fully, it just doesn't interest me, but for what it is it's good and I don't change the channel.

Actually, and this is assuming that you watched TNA on tv and not live at the arena, the announcers gave recognition to many of the women that you saw shortly after the Daphne week. Even Jeremy Borash gave recognition to a couple the week of the Daphne. After that, announcers did say that the women who were showing up had previous experience. They said it quickly and did hype up the fact that women were coming from all over for a chance at the money.

From what i have seen of taylor she is pretty impressive. I think she has alot of potential and charisma. She would have to be one of the top female wrestlers on TNA. she had a good match With Kong

last night she succsesfully defended her champion three times against the Beautiful People. The first time being 5? seconds setting a new record and the second in 20 setting yet another record, That being two sucsesful title defenses in two seconds.

Since she started in TNA she has done nothing but impress me, The worse part is once she loses the title she will be lost, doing meaningless matches and jobbing to the latest Champion.
