Tale Of The Tape

Ad you may have noticed (if you have read my RP) is that I used a new WZCW show concept that I created to make a "Tale Of The Tape" segment and graphic for Constantine.

If people are into it, I might make a graphic and the new show idea to give people a run down of how they might do in the Lethal Lottery match. Basically, it would be like a shorter, less detailed version of my RP.

Any takers?

I liked it man. I haven't given your RP a proper read yet, but I thought the graphic was a nice little touch. I'd be all for more if you have time.

I'll try and work on some of these tonight. Should be a good challenge.

So, I've did the first batch of these with 4 randomly drawn superstars in it. I'll be posting them here when I get off work in a few hours.

Hope you guys enjoy reading it.

Stanford: Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. Before our last commercial break of this gargantuan edition of WZCW FluX, we looked at John Constantine and his chances of winning the Lethal Lottery match.

At that, Frank Calhoun cuts him off.

Calhoun: Provided he is randomly drawn to enter the match.

Stanford gives an understanding nod as he turns away from his broadcast partner and towards the camera once again.

Stanford: Quite right, Frank. Moving on, we have 4 more wrestlers to examine. The Lethal Lottery, as we know, is completely inconsiderate of experience or skill. If you are on the WZCW roster, then there is a good chance that you will be taking part in WZCW's biggest match of the year. With that in mind, the next superstar we'll look at might be looking at wrestling 2 matches in the one night.

Stanford: With a tag team Championship match at Lethal Lottery, one half of Technosa will possibly have one of his busiest nights of the year.

Calhoun: He might also be one half of the Tag Team Champions when he arrives in the match. Quite frankly, S.H.I.T and Barbosa have the skills and the power to take the Lethal Lottery by storm this year. When you consider that they may have to face two gruelling matches this Tuesday, Technosa might have to evaluate which match means more to them.

Stanford: A great point, Frank. Don't get me wrong, SHIT and Barbosa will try to win everything at the Lethal Lottery and may think that they could win it all. But the Tag Team encounter may take a lot from the would-be Champions. They may find themselves hitting a brick wall in the Lethal Lottery match if they're not careful.

Calhoun: And it's going to be interesting to see how Technosa will interact with each other in the Lethal Lottery match proper. You could see the crowning of a new and very dangerous Tag Team Champions and then see their ultimate destruction come later as success in the Lottery turns them against each other. It is all to play for. SHIT has to go down as one of the dark horses for the entire thing.

Stanford: Yeah, I have to agree Frank. But let's move on and see who's next.

The TV behind the two men flickers into life once more, revealing anew superstar for examination.

Stanford: Ah, the part-time rocker Thrash. Some of the grizzled veterans of this match might see Thrash as an easy target. But I've gotta tell you, Frank, I think Thrash has a lot of fight in him and he might make some waves in the match.

Calhoun: Listen, Stanford, the beautiful thing about the Lottery is that it can throw anything at you. Whether that means Thrash will win it all remains to be seen. But what I do know, is that Thrash might struggle against some of the more seasoned vets of this competition. There is absolutely no substitute for experience in matches like these and Thrash might find himself being taught that lesson on Tuesday night.

Stanford: You might be right, Frank. I met up with Thrash a few weeks ago and he seemed like a hungry and motivated young man. You have to question how he will cope with dangerous and merciless wrestlers like Sam Smith, Constantine and possibly Holmes if he has the displeasure of meeting them in the ring. Those guys all have a lot of experience in matches like these and Thrash could find himself over-awed and over-matched if he has not carefully prepared a plan for the Lottery.

Calhoun: Plan all you like, Thrash. I see you being a number by the end of the night.

Stanford: Let's agree to disagree on that one, Frank.

Once more, the TV flicks to another superstar.

Calhoun: Now we're talking!

Stanford: The double Elite X Champion Sam Smith has to go into this match as one of the favourites to win it all. He may have had his momentum derailed at Ascension last we saw him, but Sam Smith could use that to his advantage. He has made no secret of his loathing of the lack of main event opportunities he has been given and this is, surely, his chance to put himself up there?

Calhoun: Absolutely, Stanford. Sam Smith is a dangerous and wily competitor who has something to prove to everyone. He wants to be in that upper echelon of main event guys and the Lethal Lottery has to be his shot at making that happen. He has all the tools and skills to make this year the year of Sam Smith. You have to believe that Smith heads into the match with not a lot to lose and everything to gain. He's hungry and determined to succeed. Whether he can do it remains to be seen.

Stanford:
How will Smith react, do you think, to his recent loss to John Constantine?

Calhoun: It'll hurt, no doubt. To lose something that you held onto for so long is always going to be a tough thing to come to terms with. But Smith needed to lose that Championship to get him into the right place for The Lethal Lottery match. He might not like it being said, but he was coasting for the last few weeks. Two losses to Constantine in 3 events and now Smith has finally woken from his slumber. A new and fiery Sam Smith has replaced the tired and lethargic shell of a man. And besides, who needs the Elite X Championship when you've got the Heavyweight Championship in your sights?

Stanford: True enough. And with Smith's relationship with Rush, you have to believe that he as good a chance as any to pick up the win. The smart money is on this guy.

The TV screen flickers once again, revealing another superstar.

Stanford: Oh yeah!

Calhoun: You're probably looking at your winner right here. This guy has all the fan support in the world of WZCW. And when you're hanging in that match, hoping for a second wind to carry you through, those fans are going to be exactly the energy shot that Triple X needs.

Stanford: No doubt about it, Triple X has been on a tear as of late, finally ousting Rush from his perch as EurAsian Champion. It was always going to take a special superstar to do such a thing and finally we have such a man. Triple X is looking to follow that up with success in the Lethal Lottery and looking at the form book would suggest that he might just do that.

Calhoun: I remember his first appearance in a Lottery match as if it were yesterday. Triple X entered at number 4 but was eliminated by one Ty Burna and his Apostles. Truth be told, up until that point,. X was the highlight of the match. If he can carry that level of excitement and talent into the Lottery this year, I guarantee that he will be in the mix when it comes down to the final 4 or 5 men.

Stanford: True. Triple X did light up last years Lottery, But I have to ask you, Frank. Triple X is known for his high-flying style in WZCW. But how can that possibly translate to a match where going to the top rope could signal defeat?

Calhoun: Well, Stanford, therein lies the problem for X. He has built his legacy on being one hell of a high-flying wrestler. But when you take that away from him, does he have the ground game to possibly remove himself from harm? I guess we will have to wait and see. But if he can resist the urge to go to the top rope and wrestles a smart match, then we would definitely be looking at our EurAsian Champion going after the World Heavyweight Championship soon.

Stanford:
Well, that's all we've got time for just now, folks. Join us after the break when we look through some more superstars. Join us then.

Well, this is pretty cool. I don't know how many more you intend on doing before the Lottery, but toss my hat in the ring anyhow.

Many apologies guys.

I've been really ill row last couple of days and haven't gotten to this. What I plan on doing is getting some more out of the way tonight and then seeing if the Lottery goes up.

If it does, then I'll do a Lethal Lottery performance review instead of predictions, where I'll expire your performance in the match.

But I'll wait and see how many I can get through tonight. Sorry again guys.
