Taker's New Finisher

I get how it's supposed to work and the effect it's supposed to have. But it looks shit. I can imagine it being legit painful, but it doesn't look that way. If it's suCh a devistating move then why are wrestlers bleeding from the mouth when he appLies it? Nobody bled from a Crossface, and you would imagine that would break your nose. If the move didn't look so weak then there would be no need for the blood.

Seriously, what is it with this new obsession they're having with wrestlers bleeding for the mouth? First the Great Khali and now this. In my opinion, it just feels condescending. Like they're trying really hard to make me believe it's real again. It's not real, we all know it, and you guys just look like morons for making all that extra effort.

I think wwe is just going to far overboard with submission moves. lol I mean they did lose Chris Benoit, arguabilly (sp) the greatist sub wrestler alive. And i think there having people like John Cena Taker and Kali come out with sub moves to try and fill that gap. Because really who finishes with submissions anymore other than rick flair lmfao? If they didnt start out with a submission finisher why make them run a new finisher and make there fans all damn confused?

I agree. It looks terrible. Not only that it takes way to long to apply and looks very awkward when doing so. It's not really that dramatic I don't think, and is a poor replacement for the Tombstone piledriver.

It is not only that submission move but he is also finishing the Super heavy weights off with that jumping DDT too, along with the Tombstone, Last Ride, and Chokeslam. He has too many finishers anyway, so I say get rid of that stupid submission move(the Triangle Choke is better) because it doesn't suit Taker IMO.

Being that taker is my fav wrestler, I'm not sure about this new move. It would be ok if everybody wasnt bleeding out of the mouth. I think its just a matter of time when he applies this new move (what ever its called) to Edge at WrestleMania.

The move is actually a gogoplat choke rather than the triangle choke. Just thot I'd throw that tidbit out there.

Anywho, I'm kind of torn on the new move. Taker's move set didn't need any improvement. But at the same time this move is showing how technical Taker's gotten these past few years.

I really have to agree with most of what this thread already says. The move looks weak, the blood is ridiculous, and Taker, besides having too many finishers as it is, doesn't need a submission move.

To me, there are guys who make people submit, and then there are guys who just destroy their opponents and pin them, a category which Taker falls directly into. My biggest problem with it is that WWE has forgotten how and when to use submission finishes. I mean, Cena has been making people tap out so much that it's meaningless now, both because of the frequency and the fact that, well, Cena isn't a wrestler that shouldn't be making people tap out. Tapping out makes opponents look EXTREMELY weak, and yet WWE keeps using at the most bizarre times... the Great Khali/Cena anyone? Fact: monsters shouldn't tap.

Anyway, back to the original point, Taker should just stick to the chokeslam and the Tombstone and be done with it. He doesn't need anything else, especially not a finisher, and one that looks awful, at that.

Yeah I noticed that. But how often do MMA fighter actually get that move on? And if they do it takes them forever.

I've watched MMA all my life and have only seen that move finish a fight twice. One was a title match where the fighter failed his drug test after and the fight was delcared a no contest. So technically, I've only seen one fight finished with a gogoplat. Its generally used to transition to a better position rather than finish the fight. If they want to use MMA moves, stick with the rear naked choke.

If they aren't afraid of MMA then why is it that every week the undertaker except for a couple of his standard moves looks more like an MMA guy then a pro wrestler? Also, did anyone else notice that there were multiple WWE guys at Brock's fight who are currentl;y on the roster but they only showed the Undertaker? As for the move, its devastating in real life but the blood is way to over the top. although in comparison to a triangle when applied a gogaplata is a much more painful way to choke someone out

If MMA moves looked good in wresting then the Main Event of WrestleMania would be Taker vs Sylvester Terkey instead of Edge. The fact is they look stupid and out of place.

I don't see the point of Undertaker's finisher having to be something realistic after he turns the lights on with his "powers" and floors his opponent with a chokeslam.

The WWE doesn't have many opinions they don't allow many high impact moves no piledrivers other than the tombstone no real suplexes everyone bails way befor to preven anyone from getting spiked submissions is the only thing they can do. I mean let Undertaker do the gringo killer only renamed that would be sweet but that ain;t gonna happen.
