Tag Team Division in the Coming Months

ATLMIATEX

Occasional Pre-Show
The Tag Team Division is finally starting to have potential. To legitimize the Division, here's what I think should happen in the coming months to make WWE's Tag Team Wrestling watchable again:

1. The Ascension and The Uso's should stay off TV for a while. When they both come back, The Uso's should put The Ascension over. After Vince lets The Ascension lose the stupid ass gimmick he gave them.

2. New Day should turn heel by attacking The Prime Time Players. That could lead to a fued with New Day coming out on top, maybe earning a tag team title shot.

3. Lucha Dragons & Cesaro/Kidd should have a 3ish month fued, maybe with The Lucha Dragons getting a short title reign in between. But ultimately Cesaro/Kidd leave the fued as champs.

4. At SummerSlam you could have a legit Fatal 4-Way for the titles where all the teams would have momentum going into the match with Cesaro/Kidd, Lucha Dragons, New Day and Ascension.

5. Hopefully by then Enzo Amore & Big Cass will be on the main roster. Maybe The Dudleyz will be back as well? Wouldn't be surprised if Los Matadores are cut or given the NXT veteran role.

Then by the end of Summer you have:

Tag Champs - Cesaro/Kidd (Booked as heels)
Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady & Carmella (Face)
Lucha Dragons (Face)
The Dudleyz (Face)
The Ascension (Heel)
New Day (Heel)
The Uso's (Face)
Prime Time Players (Face)

I wish The Usos would turn heel. They're stale to me. There's only so much, being the champ, chasing the title you can do before getting stale.

The team I'd like to see get pushed, and it looks like it might finally happen, is PTP. I thought it was great that they got back together because on their own, they're dull. Together they're decently funny and entertaining. I always thought they deserved a run as tag champs before. Hopefully now it happens.

I'm also glad to see they're turning New Day heel. They should have been heels from the beginning when they formed the 3-man group. Kofi as a heel could be pretty interesting.

Let me be a pessimist when I say that you're giving the WWE too much credit. This is the company that split the PTPers up for almost no reason to take one of the members off screen for about a year and put the other member with Heath Slater to make a new jobber team. Have they actually signed both of the Dudley's? I assumed it was a one time thing with Bubba/Bully which was why they had R Truth play the role of D-Von.

Even if they're both signed you figure Kidd/Cesaro might not be together very long which might be a good thing for both of them if they're given an actual feud which elevates both of them with Cesaro as a face and Kidd as a heel. The PTPers might just be Las Matadores plus, team that belongs together just to help elevate other teams. You figure with New Day turning heel now and Kidd/Cesaro as tag champs there has to be a transitional face team.

I doubt they will turn the Usos heel being as they should be the foundation of the tag division and they sell well to the kids so it works.

It wouldn't surprise me if they only put the PTPers back together to have them win the titles from Kidd/Cesaro and lose it to New Day in a couple months.

Again you figure in theory the division could be stronger than it has been in a while but remember about half a year ago when Gold/Stardust, Miz/Dow, Matadores, Usos, New Day were all together and we got excited the division was improving, yet here we are. A thrown together team as our tag champs with only 1 viable opponent right now

I'm not to sure how long Cesaro & Kidd will team together after they lose the titles, they certainly don't look like a team we'll be talking about this time next year. The fact that Orton beat them on Raw is a reminder to anyone who thinks the WWE is actually taking an interest in the tag division.

The Ascension, well they're drowning in the main roster to the extent were they could be future endeavoured and nobody would really care. The same could be said of Los Matadores

The Uso's might actually benefit from the injury to Jey? as they will be taking a break for a while.

The PTP shouldn't have been split in the first place, and hopefully they are pushed.

The New Day, the fans have had there say, there is no love for this crew, but I like the idea of having Kofi as a reluctant heel.

Lucha Dragons, they're a nice and fresh addition, Kalista is a real innovative guy and I hope they can keep going for a while.

There is definitely room for at least 1 more team, preferably a heel side.
