TNA has had some incredible tag teams in the past, and even now they've got some really great things going on in that division. My question is, out of all the guys currently seen as "tag team wrestlers", who do you think has the brightest future as a break-out main eventer? Yes, I am aware that Generation Me has taken some time off from the division and that Team 3D is no longer a team. However, Devon is still tagging with whoever will have him, and the Buck's are just starting out on their singles careers. So...discuss!

My choice is Robert Roode. As you can tell by my sig, I'm a big fan of Beer Money's better half (not to say James Storm isn't great, because he is). I think he's put the TNA tag division on the map ever since he's debut years ago, but I also think he's got the perfect combination of skill, charisma, and look to be a big main event player. Unfortunately, he's already 34 and too old to really get over to the WWE, but... he could still make a great impact on the TNA main event scene. A feud with James Storm would be great after so long with them as the best team in TNA Wrestling. It would also be cool to see where he'd go with his character if he wasn't tied to the whole...beer and money thing...

BM Inc. should've never happened. Now I KNOW THAT COULD UP SET SOME PEOPLE but there was a chance to push Roode into the Main Event Scene in 08 but it didn't happen now I am an sure if it will happen or if it will ever mean something?

Yeah I would agree with you, Roode has everything needed for a great singles career. He is the glue for Beer Money. He even looks like he could be a credible leader of Fortune.

He is technically sound, he has the look, he one of the best users of the microphone in TNA and he is over.

I just cant see him being a singles man in the near future. Beer Money is just far to good as a team, theyve already got a very bloated Main Event scene and their midcard has no real structure.

I would also like to give a mention to Shannon Moore. While I dont think he will ever really get a huge push to any meaningful singles career, he has what it takes for a great X Division run. He to is great on the microphone and can work a match, despite the heat that is on him for being Jeff's friend he is pretty talented.

I picked Roode as well, and it's so hard to deal with Beer Money. B.M is without a doubt the best tag-team we've seen in a long, long time, and both Roode and Storm are insanely talented and could do well as singles wrestler (as long as they're not Sheamus'd or Matt Morgan'd). However, it's impossible to push one of them without getting on the fans' back and splitting them. Such a crappy situation. You split the greatest tag team in TNA and you get two potential Main Eventers, or you keep them together and never know what could've been. Of course, they can always get back together if it doesn't work out, so why not.

Roode is just beaming Main Event. That guy is evolving more and more every time I see him and he's a joy to watch. The same goes for Storm. I don't think we're all giving him enough credit because he's overshadowed by Roode just a little bit, but Storm has been picking up steam as well in the last few weeks and is showing more charisma and personality than Roode, and sometimes that's more important. To me they're tied.

I can't wait to see what will happen to either of them if they ever split. All I know is that the fans will be behind them 100% whatever happens.

Unfortunately I think if Robert Roode was going to get that push to the main event it would probably have come around by now. But I could be wrong because creative seem to like guys around and exceeding his margin of age. Mr Anderson is 35, Matt Morgan (who it seems may one day be champion) is also around 35, RVD is obviously over 40 etc. But you know creative's mechanical thinking towards some people, they may just view him as a great tag team player and nothing more. It's obviously clear he has earned the push, and equally that he is good enough. But you have to believe if his shot is coming, it has to come soon otherwise it may as well not come at all.

I see great promise in Alex Shelley. He is obviously a very good wrestler but he has a lot of personality unlike a few of the Tag team/X-division guys. But once again with Bischoff's view on small guys he may never get a chance. Certainly though RR is the best on the list, we all await his future I'm sure.

Roode has the look to me, the ability and the mic skills. He's better than James Storm, in my eyes.

I gotta say that as much as Robert Roode would get the main event push out of all of the wrestlers listed in the poll, Chris Sabin has presented himself as a pretty credible singles star in his own right. The guy holds numerous singles titles in other promotions and in TNA he is already a 4 time X-Division Champion.

Yes it's true he's mainly been with Alex Shelley for the last couple of years in one of the best tag teams, but before that he was well enough on his own.

My choice is James Storm. Every other choice on here either needs to remain in the tag team division longer to help build it, or would probably not succeed as a singles star. James Storm gets my vote because he could easily remain over in his current character as a top face if Beer Money splits up. Roode on the other hand I don't see succeeding as well without being a part of Beer Money. I hope Beer Money doesn't split up though as they are one of the best tag teams, but Storm would do quite well as a singles star if they do.

I'm actually going with Alex Shelley here. Roode we all know will have a bright future, but in terms of judging the "break out", he's already had a somewhat successful singles run already. Shelley IMO will go farthest from where he currently is. That man has Jericho v 2.0 written all over him.

Total agreement, from the first time I saw him on my TV doing the paparazzi production bits with Kevin Nash I thought future star. He has a great personalitly, damn good in the ring and pretty good on the stick. I feel like he could be a main eventer in the near future but the poweres that be, may not let it be.

Well Shelley has been a very successful singles wrestler, as well as Sabin. Devon is a tag teamer period. For me, doesn't do much on the mic. But I am shocked Ray isn't on this list. He is going a phenominal singles run right now. Seems like TNA rehashed his gimmick from his solo run in WWE, and actually made it work. The Bucks will be feuding with each other and possibly be teaming with others soon. Neal needs better mic skills to get over, and Shannon is helping him there, but as Jeff's homey he won't be pushed.

I am going outside of the box on this one. Crimson....Having Steiner as a team mate helps him in the long run. The guy can speak on the mic, and is involved in TNA's bigges storyline, with some of there biggest guys. He may need a new name, but Crimson will go far, IMO.

Roode is going to run away with this poll. He has a major groundswell of support from the IWC for a Main Event push already. Just recently I was talking in another thread about how Roode taking over Fortune with a heel turn would be amazing for TNA as he and AJ could then kick off what could be the defining rivalry of TNA's future. And even if you end Beer Money as a formal tag team, Roode and Storm can remain friends/allies like Flair and Arn Anderson did. Fortune work better as a heel stable, and Roode is the perfect man to lead it.

Ideally, I'd have to go with Robert Roode. In my opinion, nobody on that list can even remotely touch the guy in an overall sense of what he brings to the table. He's got the look, he's got the promo ability, he's got the charisma and the in-ring capability to be a main eventer. Personally, I think Roode is at a period in his life where I think something is going to have to be done with him as a singles guy or he's going to wind up like Bully Ray or Devon and be remembered mostly as a tag team wrestler. I like to hear Bully Ray talk but he's almost 40 and I have a feeling that his singles career isn't going to be remotely as successful as his tag team career was.

Neal, Moore & the Bucks all have a long way to go before they're on Roode's level in my view. As for Sabin & Shelley, I haven't seen anything out of them that really makes me want to look at them as legit singles stars. And, honestly, I don't see Hogan & Bischoff doing much with them because of their size. Not saying that they couldn't do it, but they just come across as much weaker overall than Roode in my eyes. Storm is also really good in my view and if he'd just get himself into a little bit better shape, I think he'd have a real shot at a successful singles career.
