Survivor Series cut - Which one next?

So now there's word that Survivor Series is being pulled after the dismal buyrates from '09. :wtf: First no more bras and panties matches. Then no blood on tv. Then no real running in from other shows, like Raw to SD unless you are a unified champ, which makes for stale stories right now, IMO. Is it just me or are we just losing more and more of the traditions we grew up with in the WWE? I mean Survivor Series is where we saw the birth of the Undertaker. There were historical moments like the Montreal Screwjob. This whole comment Cena made a week or two ago "You don't appreciate the past" or something like that. To sum it up, even though its a storyline, could it be that maybe even though times are tough for everyone, that McMahon is forgetting what brought him to where he is now? What would be next? If Wrestlemania didn't sell well, what are the chances you would see it being cut and replaced with something else? Share your thoughts please!

What's wrong with changing a concept if they don't think its working? The biggest change the WWE has made to its ppv schedule was the introduction of monthly ppvs with the "In Your House" shows that eventually morphed into the current WWE ppv line up.

The WWE is testing ppv ideas and there's a poll up on the WWE Universe website regarding these ideas:

Tournament Event: Single elimination "bracket style" tournament where Superstars would compete in multiple matches during the night to become the tournament winner.

Street Fight Event: Main events would include"street fight" matches where there are no disqualifications and pin-falls count anywhere. Superstars often compete in normal street clothes.

Legends Event: Match participants would include WWE Legends from the past.

Money in the Bank Event: The main event "Money in the Bank" match requires Superstars to climb a ladder and retrieve a briefcase hung high above the ring. The winner can "cash in" the briefcase for a championship title shot throughout the year. Qualifying matches earlier in the event will determine participants for the "Money in the Bank" match.

WWE Draft Event: WWE's annual Draft where Superstars and Divas learn which brand they'll be a part of for the next year. The Draft is often the beginning of new conflicts and matchups.

Battle Bowl Event: Random tag-teams compete together - sometimes arch rivals - with the winning teams being put in a 2-ring Battle Royal. The winner could potentially receive a championship title match.

Roulette Event: Main event match stipulations would be determined by the spin of a roulette-type wheel.

War Games Event: Teams of 5 collide in 2 cages. 2 participants begin the match with a new participant added every 5 minutes. This process is alternated between teams until all members from both teams are present.)

Personally, I like the ideas of a tournament and War Games ppvs. The WWE doesn't have very many tournaments at all, mostly just qualifying matches to particpate in certain types of matches.

I think that the WWE did a shitty job of building the Survivor Series and that's one reason why the buyrate was so low. As far as the concept of Survivor Series, I've always enjoyed the traditional Survivor Series matches. Since they're doing away with it, I wouldn't mind seeing Survivor Series episodes of Raw and Smackdown once a year.

Isn't anything sacred anymore? Just because a buyrate was low they are going to spit on tradition? After WM the SS was the 2nd oldest PPV. The team elimination matches were a great concept and it had many memorable moments including the biggest scandal in wrestling history the Montreal Screwjob. I was personally upset when they announced the Survivor Series cancellation. That was part of the original big 4. As to your question which one will be cut next to be honest I wouldn't be shocked if they got rid of Summerslam, Royal Rumble or even WM itself. The ones that should be cut are the Bash and Backlash which don't have the "gimmick concept" the WWE wants to create, of others such as TLC, Bragging Rights, Breaking Point, Night of Champions, Extreme Rules, etc. Summerslam isn't a gimmick PPV, but the Rumble is and so was Survivor Series. Whatever I guess.
