I just watched it. I used to have a VHS of it but it got lost in one of my many moves.

It's nice when something you loved as a kid turns out to be legitimately good. Possibly the best videogame-based movie of all time.

Jesus if they made that film (in the poster) for real, Keanu Reeves would not be alive for much longer.

But the Sonic Movie is epic.

It's a shame they never made any more episodes (since it started as an anime, but when it didn't catch on, ADV turned it into an hour-long movie) because it was really just...good. It captured the spirits of the games perfectly, it was funny, action-packed, fun to watch, and even the dub job was stellar.

Yeah, it was pretty good, but looking back on it, the inclusion of Sarah didn't really fit. Plus some of the dialogue was a little goofy.

Now that I think about it, how many times have people mistaken other hedgehog-based characters for Sonic? Metal Sonic in the movie and Sonic CD, Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2, Silver in the 2006 Sonic...

Kind of makes you wonder...
