Some movies come with a fair warning about what you're about to experience, and this movie was one of them. Wikipedia's ordinarily neutral synopsis started with "Knucklehead is a lowbrow comedy film". If your film is so lowbrow that the compulsively nice editors of Wikipedia have no shame in stating as much, you're looking forward to about two hours of silly Three Stooges meet the Marx Brothers esque slapstick without the shtick.
Reasons to watch this movie: Big Show's performance. That is all.
Paul Wight really is this movie's saving grace. I would only recommend watching this movie if you're a fan of Big Show and wouldn't mind seeing him prove that he has some acting range that goes beyond pro-wrestling.
There are some moments where you'll go "Hey! It's that one guy!" This was one of Dennis Farina's last films, and it's honestly not a total disgrace to his legacy. Midnight Run was a much more ridiculous movie than Knucklehead.
Basically; this movie is a bastardized version of Planes Trains and Automobiles while overusing parts of Dumb and Dumber. Instead of selling shower rings, the film's lead doofus wrestles here and there to make enough money to save an orphanage. The plot is so absurdly formulaic that it wouldn't surprise me if Michael Bay would have turned down an opportunity to direct this movie.
What I loved about Paul Wight's performance was that his character wasn't difficult to enjoy. He plays a very nice guy who just really wants to do good in this world, which would be awesome if his character could have been in a movie that didn't drown itself in tired old movie clichés.
It's not the worst movie I've ever seen, but I'm sure I'll be getting death threats if I go telling people to invest time in experiencing this movie. Just please know that for his performance in this movie, Paul Wight deserves to be recognized as one of the most talented performers in the art world. His acting was believable and you end up slightly caring about his character.
