Slow Work Week: Have I Correctly Memorised All 50 States?

Alabama, and Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas
California, Colorado, and Connecticut and more
Delaware, Florida, Georgia, then Hawaii, Idaho
Illinois, Indi-a-na, I-o-wa still 35 to go...

Kansas, and Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine
Maryland, Massachusetts and good old Michigan
Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, and Montana
Nebraska's 27, number 28's Nevada

Next, New Hampshire, and New Jersey, and way down, New Mexico
There's New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio
Oklahoma, Or-e-gon, Pennsylvania, now let's see
Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee

Texas and there's Utah, Vermont, I'm almost through
Virginia and there's Washington, and West Virginia, too
Could Wisconsin be the last one or is it 49?
No, Wyoming is the last state in The 50 States That Rhyme!

Monarchs I can't do, but would imagine to be a piece of piss to learn. Once you get to the House of Normandy there's not exactly a significant number of names to learn, you just have to remember how many times each one came up.

The English/British monarchy is straightforward from Henry VII onward but before that there are various times when things get messy through the dual reigns, pretenders, depositions and restorations within the Plantagenet family and the War of the Roses.

As for the Roman emperors, it is a far more straightforward list than you might think. Plenty of names but largely linear. That said, it is a long, 1500 year list if you count the Byzantines. Without revision I can get to the end of the 7th century...

Let's see how many I know/can remember:
1. Washington- Daniel Bryan
2. Florida- The Rock
3. Massachusetts- John Cena
4. Alabama- Hardcore Holly
5. California- Sting
6. Carolina- Ric Flair
7. Dakota- I had one T-shirt with South Dakota club written on it.
8. Texas- "Everything is big in Texas"
9. Colorado- Bobby Lashley
10. Mississipi- Captain America
11. New York- Ninja Turtles
12. Long Island- Woo woo woo
13. Nebraska? - Area 51
14. Alaska- Sarah Palin
15. Illinois- CM Punk
16. Hawaii- Ricky Steamboat
17. Michigan- Steiner Brothers
18. Oklahoma- Steve Williams
19. (and I'm getting towards the end) Arizona- "Phoenix, Arizona" can't remember which wrestler was billed from there though..
20. Georgia- AJ Styles
21. Missouri- an old friend resided there.
22. New Jersey- that is where 90% Indian immigrants go to.
23. Iowa- strange name
24. Indiana- similar to India.
25. Lousiana- first thing that comes to mind when I think "state name starting with L"
26. Ohio- The Miz
27. Kansas City- lost many times in this city in American Pie Naked Run mobile game.
28. Virginia- similar to Virgin.
29. Wisconsin- came outta nowhere in my mind.
30. Rhode Island- similar to Cody Rhodes.

That's all I could think of. *phew*

Pokemon...NES...romhacks....what? There were Pokemon games on the NES....?!

Pokemon...NES...romhacks....what? There were Pokemon games on the NES....?!

None that were certified by Nintendo or released in USA, but there were a few. Found in pirated cartridges, which, unfortunately, is all that we had access to over here.

There was one more game, in which you had Pikachu climb up ladders and stuff. In the following link, a gamer takes a look at some pirated games and romhacks, including the one I just mentioned:
If you have time, you can check out the Street Fighter game for the NES (called Fight Street 12 Peoples). They couldn't code Zangief and Dhalsim properly, but still got the fireballs, music, background and everything right.
For any cricket fans here, there was even a (pirated) cricket game on the NES, more advanced than the "only cricket game" called International Cricket; unfortunately I've not been able to find it anywhere.
