Skeptical about Edge retiring..

Cena's #1 In My Heart

Getting Noticed By Management
Just was thinking last night..

Didn't HBK retire with a "CAREER" threatening injury?

I think Edge will be back for at least one more match, maybe another run.

Consider it... Edge sits at home for 5 years... your telling me your not going to heal at all? He'll start feeling better... he'll hit the gym.. he'll say.. maybe I can do this....

Like Stone Cold said earlier this year... he's in good shape, and he think's he could go another year or two if he wanted.

Time heals.. and I'm just not sure we've seen the end of Edge.. especially since we heard this before with HBK.

Hell maybe the WWE was kayfabing us majorly on this and we just fell for it like suckers, maybe they knew he'd be hurt for a year.. so they were like.. "Oh let's make it seem like his career is over.. then they'll mark out when he returns from his miracle injury or whatever."

Something to think about..

Bring on the anti-Justdawg people to tell me I'm SO WRONG AND NO WAY I COULD BE RIGHT...

OK, take a second and think how stupid this sounds.

I'm not going to break down your post for you. But think about how suddenly this all happened - you cannot ever compare this to HBK or Stone Cold who were too important or pig-ignorant to quit for the sake of their bodies.

I'm not going to tell you cannot be right, I'm just saying you are blind and ignorant to what actually happened.

Why don't you experiment for us. Break your own neck and then tell us if you're good to go in 5 years time.

Edge's already 37, never saw him to be the type to wrestle into his mid- to late-40's to begin with. He's spoke over the years about hanging it up and now that he has I see no chance he comes back in his 40s to risk further injury.

Edge is done man, his neck is fucked up, if he were to continue wrestling he'd likely end up anther wrestling tragedy & he knows that, Edge has reportedly managed his money pretty well, & is young enough to still be able to start another career in a different a area of entertainment, like acting or something.

If you hadn't noticed Edge had lost a lot of muscle mass, and size during this last run as WHC in the WWE. He wasn't anywhere near the shape he had been in the past. I doubt he's been able to actually "hit the gym" in at least 4-6 months with the pain he had to be in. Time does heel, but he was able to retire as champion, and he had already accomplished everything possible in professional wrestling.

Don't get me wrong, I love Edge and would love to see him active, but I wouldn't want to see him return only to further ruin his body possible beyond repair. He could return as a GM type at some point and that would be perfectly ok, as long as he doesn't balloon up and get fat like some other former WWE Stars

HBK was younger, was injured in a less "important" location and retired before his injury had a chance to get worse. You're talking about two completely different cercumstances.

I think Edge is done. If he has been told he risks serious injury if he wrestled again, then he should stay out of the ring.

When your still young, rich and talented enough to do something else, why risk your mobility and health for one more match in an industry where you have done everything there is to do?

I honestly believe Edge's "retirement" is just an angle for him to return and screw Christian out of his title (and somehow become champion on the spot). Daniel Bryan cashes in his MITB briefcase at the end of a Smackdown taping, only to lose to Edge as he stands triumphantly while Michael Cole has a field day with DB's loss. Best Smackdown ending ever, with Edge back where he rightfully belongs.

Missed the point..
No you just chose not to read my post. Specifically this part
you cannot ever compare this to HBK or Stone Cold who were too important or pig-ignorant to quit for the sake of their bodies.
Wasn't HBK's back fucked in 1998?
Figure in that HBK was an addict and in the middle of a huge angle with DX, Tyson and Austin, he wasn't going to quit and miss the huge run to WM because he knew he was going after the PPV and he did massively limited appearances after the injury.
