The kids buy a mask and wear it like their hero, so it will, imo, help him greatly.

Sin Cara's mask is different in that it covers his entire face. Rey Mysterio's doesn't cover the eyes and mouth.

No. God no. You cant get much more marketable then a mask, ask Rey Mysterio. Plus how long has he been wrestling in it? Yeah I am sure he wouldn't go against a legacy of luchadors and ruin his marketability and take it off.

I actually agree with you on this. A mask is one thing, but for a televised show, you should be able to read the guy's emotions. Even with Rey, you can see the joy in his eyes when he picks up a win. It's not just about marketability, it's about ring psychology and entertainment.

No. The WWE sees it as a piece of merchandise. Taking the mask away from Sin Cara would take away from their merchandise sales.

If his acting is on-par, he could wear bedsheets over his head and give the right vibe on how he feels. We didn't get a look at Michael Myers or Jason's face, but by body language you could tell when they were pissed. Sin Cara does a very good job with what he has; pointing at said opponent, etc. So far I see no problem with his mask when you talk about personality.
It's a doouble-edged sword. On one side, most people on the WWE don't wear masks so those who do are very recognizable. Also it's very easy to sell and looks pretty nice. On the other side it's harder to transmit emotions and to speak. In Sin Cara's case, he can't even speak (also the fact that he isn't good at english yet). Hopefully when he learns english they will make a new mask for him.

Actually, yes! I have said on other threads before that the biggest problem with is mask is the eyes. I have worn masks that cover they eyes before and you can see through them but not nearly as well as you would with free eyesight and I think that could be a reason why he's botching so many moves. If you can't see clearly, you can't wrestle very well and if you can't wrestle, how will you get a push?
As the poster said, he is also having trouble selling moves but I don't think that's the masks fault. Many masked wrestlers have been able to show emotion very well through body language. Sin Cara.... Well, he just needs to work on body language, I think. We all saw that match. It was with Primo, I believe. Sold all his moves with body language. The problem was, the only body language he used at all was sitting up and holding his throat... For every move...

Yes. I have nothing against wearing a mask..I think he should wear one but a good one. This power ranger looking one just doesn`t do for me...it is way to cheesy and it always going to be difficult for the audience to connect with him. The comparison with Rey is not fair.

What do you think Sin Cara means? I believe it means without a face right? Well you can't have that if you see his face.
The mask has to stay or else it won't make sense. If a 5year old kid(not me by the way) can understand that why can't the IWC.LFC till i die

I have no problem with him wearing his masks. Re Mysterio has no problem with it. To sell a move its not all about your facial expressions.

Sin Cara needs to remain "faceless", which is a good thing, because his English is bad. Perhaps later he'll get a mouth.

Sin Cara will wear his current mask untill Rey leaves then the E will change it to a Rey mask where you cant see his whole face but enough to see his facials when he sells. By that time he may be able to cut promos in well spoken english too.
What I've actually wondered about his mask is how much it impairs his view/how hot is it! I'm sure he's used to it but it must to a certain degree.
I think he'll need to perfect his body language. It's possible for him to do but he'll need to be the very best at it with that mask.

Might as well rename him if that's the case. You do realize that "Sin Cara" is spanish for "faceless" right? You should look it up. Besides, masked guys can portray emotion well. Masked Kane did a good job of it. Besides, they all ready sell Sin Cara masks. The faceless one will be just fine.

It depends on what the WWE wants to establish him as. If they want him to be the next rey mysterio, then he needs to change his mask to expose more of his face to show emotion to his fans. If they want him to be a bada$$ who is unknown and does his talking in the ring then keep it the way it is. Either way, keep the mask on, there are already kids wearing his mask so it is probably selling like crazy.

Well Kane had Paul Bearer to do this and it worked well. For Sin Cara the solution should be easy, either give him time to learn to speak English fluently or get him a Spanish manager like Del-Rio has.

I personally think its difficult to be face and have a solid manager. Not being able to "talk" for yourself is a heel trait.
If Sin Cara was to have a manager, I'd go down the lines of a female mouthpeice. Maybe Rosa Mendes who is doing not much on Smackdown anyway. If she had of stayed face, or possibly if she was to turn face (but you'd have to turn another diva heel to pull it off), you could EASILY have Rosa be a mouthpiece. Just an idea at least.
I wouldnt go with having a male manager, youd need female to sort of pull it off well and at least get pops for having a decent looking and NON ANNOYING female with you. If not, sorry but Sin Cara stays on his own and tells the stories through his points and body language.
