Should the Women's and World Tag Team Championships Come Come Back?

With the tag division seeming to improve it seems on Smackdown we are just seeing O'neil and Young just battle a few different teams for no reason which just seems stupid. Then Truth and Kofi have like 5 different #1 contenders that each randomly get a match.

While the diva's division really isn't improving it just seems there are too many divas on smackdown with like I said before, really no point of fighting. So I think bringing the title back and putting on someone like A.J. could help the division.

So My Questions Are:

Do You Think the Women's and World Tag Team Championships should come back?

If so, who do you think should win the titles first?

Seeing as there really isn't exactly a brand split anymore, and it's pretty much always been the case that the Tag Title's and Divas Title could be defended on either brand there really isn't any reason for them to come back other then to add more titles that won't get enough air time.

Instead of bringing those titles back, I think since there will be even more WWE on TV with the 3 hour Raw, make a WWE Divas Tag Team Title and bring back the Crusierweight title.

The names of the titles should not and do not matter in the slightest. The WWE's focus should be on getting these two awful divisions back to their former glory before stacking other options in front of them. With Raw moving to three hours next month, there's bound to be a hell of alot more time to focus on both the tag team division and the woman's division. Once both divisions become watchable again, the WWE will likely push them. But reverting to the former World Tag Team and Women's Championship would be taking a step back. That's not exactly the image these two dying divisions need right now.

the only way i see them making a comeback is if the brand split comes back...id love to see the womens title replace the divas title though that butterfly is just painful to look at whoever made it should be slapped in the face. as for the world tag titles...nah wont happen i like the current design

No. The WWE tag team scene still has a way to go before you can even think about calling it revived and with the Supershow concept, there's so much crossover between shows that it's not really worth it to have separate tag titles.

As for having a Divas tag team title, the Divas are regularly the lowest-rated segment on WWE TV, so it wouldn't help to have another title that will get ignored.

I could see why you might think that, but honestly lets be serious, the tag team division is improving slightly but there isn't 10-12 teams on each "brand" and secondly if you can be on either show now that pretty much takes the point away of adding a second set of tag title, I mean that is the reason no one cares about titles now is because there are too many of them still. The world title and WWE title which are seemingly displayed on both shows, the IC title and US title which again are shown on both shows and yet none of them can really get enough air time and you can barely display the tag titles on either show. So really the question should be do we unify titles, or make one of the singles titles a little less prestigious so the rest make a difference?

Already with two 'top' titles, 2 mid card titles, Tag belts that are finally being featured a bit more, and one Diva title for the 3 ladies that can work, the E is already over titled. If the brand split were going to be stricter, then there would not be a 3rd hour of raw coming. If anything, we have to assume that more SD guys will be featured on Raw, and more up and comers will be featured on SD. NXT will be a bridge between FCW and SD, and Raw will be THE show.

In fact, I'd merge the WWE and World title, and keep the IC belt on Raw with it, move the US title exclusively to SD and have a solid tag division on SD. While it wallows away on Friday night, the E has to do something to make SD different.

They don't need a cruiserweight title until the supposed cruiser show becomes a reality. Take the 'cruiserweight guys' or others for now and make teams out of them to compete with the Colons, Hunico/Camacho, Usos, Titus and Young, Kofi/Truth, Reks/Hawkins and for the time being Ziggler/Swagger. You've got Kidd, Slater, Gabriel, Riley, Bourne, Rey, JTG, McGillicuty, Sin Cara, Tatsu, Bateman, Watson, and Curtis, who are rostered, and either injured or getting jobbed. Take even half of those guys and make teams out of them for the time being. I'd personally love to see Cara and Bourne team up, when Evan is back. KIdd and Gabriel had a thing going until Gabriel got hurt, and could start up again. Right there, you could have 9 teams set up by years end. That might make a nice division.

yes, but only so we can get rid of that awful looking Diva's title and that poor look of the tag team titles which resemble pennies on a belt. as for should they come back and keep the divas and tag titles, no. there's no need as wwe's tag teams are limited and their diva's arent really in many story lines either. i mean, Kofi and Truth is a thrown together sort of team and the only one Layla has or seems to be feuding with is Beth now. so dont add them to add two more titles, i would bring them back to get rid of the old titles or just re-design them as the diva's title looks too childish and the tag titles look like pennies.

and by the way, i am for bringing back the Crusierweight title, i know many will say, there's too many titles, but really having the Crusierweight title wouldnt be a bad thing as it could have great crusierweight matches with a title on the line and likely using that belt to then get a small wrestler more build to the US or IC title and eventually the world or wwe title. i dont mind that title, as for the idea of having two divas and two tag titles, no, not in wwe. dont mind two world titles as there's a ton of main event caliber talent, but tag team and diva's is another story. not many real tag teams and not many diva's who will wow us with matches.

I don't mean to be rude, but it's sort of hard to believe anyone would think that the WWE should bring these titles back.

The current Diva title and WWE tag titles are only a hair above worthless. I don't see how adding more titles could help the situation.

Absolutely not! They have no reason to even have one tag team title as it stands right now. The womens division is getting just as bad. I usually go pretty in depth when I respond to these posts but I have no reason to. Its pretty bad one one tag team championship is too many.

As far as the womens titles. Its getting to the point where they only have a handful or probably less of ladies that can actually wrestle. Heres my question. What the hell is taking them so long to bring Kharma back?

So let me get this straight.... The WWE is struggling to keep two world title as well as two midcard title tiers interesting, they barely have enough divas for ONE division across both brands, and have a grand total of ONE "true" tag team.... Yet you are asking if the Divas and Tag Team Championships should no longer be unified? Why stop there? Let's bring back the Cruiserweight, Hardcore, European, and Million Dollar Championships too so we can have 14 titles.

That's a terrible idea. The roster is reaching a point where each title tier will only have one (other than perhaps the two midcard belts) due to the brand extension being done away with. Even for parts of 2007-2008 they were struggling to maintain interest in the second set of belts. Teams/divas who were nowhere near ready to be champions got pushed there too quickly just to keep the belt relevant. This is also evident in guys like Khali or Rey being World Champions when far superior guys like Cena or Orton were WWE Champion at the time. The divisions reached a point where they HAD to be unified.

They should not bring back any old belts because the belts they still have active need to have their importance restored. Unify the world titles, keep the IC/US titles seperate, tag team titles, and divas title. That is a fine set up and they do not need any extra titles, the lack of brand exclusivity requires less titles.
