Should Finlay turn heel again?

Upon making his return to Smackdown, Finlay has had exactly one (pinfall)win. That was on his debut against Ricky Ortiz, but during Ortiz's tenure on Smackdown, everyone who has a match with him won.

Well, anyways... Finlay is a veteran in the ring, and knows about everything there is to know about the business. With this losing streak that Finlay has been having as of late, do you think that WWE should turn him heel again?

I find it horrible that Finlay is on this losing streak on Smackdown, while Hornswoggle is on a winning streak on Raw, albeit against the same opponent, but still.

What would you do with Finlay? Turn him heel? Keep him face? Do you think that he should remain putting people over? Do you think he should have stayed on ECW? What do you think?

First of all Finlay should stay face for now. He is better as a kick arse heel type who fights anyone but always jobs to the stars, but considering Smackdown are losing their faces left right and centre at the moment they need to keep him face for now.

As for his position in the company, it is to work with the newer guys. He isn't going to become a world champion or be a main eventer but he can help guys like Ziggler and Knox push towards that kind of level. And Smackdown is the best show for him, it's this show where he can get most air time for his matches.

Finlay has always made a much better heel than he has a face in his career, and I would like to see him become a heel again pretty soon. That said, right now, he needs to stay face. Mainly because I think it's only a matter of time before we get a Finlay-Sheamus feud, and Sheamus sure as hell isn't going to be the face in that feud.

I'd love to see Finlay used as a threat again though and not an undercard jobber. He'd be a great pick to step into the IC title picture now that Mysterio is gone for 30 days.

Finlay's a better heel but he should stay face... for now.

Smackdown is needing faces right now so it would be a bad idea to turn him heel anytime soon. He's there to help build other's up towards upper mid card/main event status. He isn't used to win titles any more and probably shouldn't be. He's great chasing the title but just doesn't cut it as a champion, my opinion.

I'd like him to continue with feuding with Knox for a bit and see how that goes and then possibly go for the IC. Finlay is good, but he's past his prime and doesnt need or want another championship, he's there to help the younger guys so as long as that's what he's doing then the win/loss record doesnt really matter.

I think he ought to stay a face, but if he were to turn heel anytime in the near future, this would be the time to start sewing the seeds, showing those few signs of what may come. Slowly work him towards tweener and see where he goes from there.

I'd say have him start some heel-like tactics, some ambushes, some good ol' fashioned whomps with that shillelagh, but do it against the heels. Start retaliating for the ambushes he's suffered from Ziggler and get him back by busting open his melon with a well placed whack. This'll help to ease the transition when he does go heel.

Just a thought.

Now that Rey Mysterio has been suspended, Finlay could be a good contender for the intercontential title. I mean, the guy hasn't had a title run in years, only having one with the company. I'm not saying he should win a title with the losing streak but to put him in a title match (e.g ziggler vs morrison vs finlay) would be a good push for him

If it involved Finlay somehow killing Hornswoggle in a violent and bloody manner then yes, I would be all for Finlay turning heel.

In all seriousness though I think heel Finlay is way better than face Finlay, his old theme music is a good example, it was Irish but it kicked ass. His new theme music (i.e. Hornswoggle's, and by the way, does anybody else shudder every time they hear Hornswoggle's music?) is gayer than Billy, Chuck, Rico and Big Dick Johnson in a bottle-of-KY-on-a-pole match.

Again, in all seriousness, I would team Finlay and Sheamus together and give them an IRA gimmick because they can both be badass in the ring and they can certainly talk tough on the mic. Right now face Finlay has fuck all to do.

Finlay is a vet yes, but he should be respected and win some matches and beating a now released Ricky Ortiz isn't that good anyway. He should turn heel again IMO and clean house on the brand. If not heel, just beat 4 or 5 guys in a row with the shelieghliegh or however the hell you spell it!

Yes, Finlay should turn heel. I thought he had turned heel on ECW when he hit Christian and Dreamer with the sheilleigh, but he still remained a face. The guy was a good heel. He cheated to win, and the people booed him. The only reason he turned face was because of Hornswoggle, but now that they're on different shows there's no point to keep him a face. He should turn heel again, and stay a heel for the rest of his career, because he is more believeable as a heel.

I liked him better as a Heel and that whole Father and Son thing really soften him up. Not only should Finlay turn Heel again, but he should change his music too. That theme he’s using is Hornswoggle’s and I can’t take Finlay serious when I hear that. He needs that Belfast Brawling music he used to have during his US Title run when he was a part of Booker’s Court. Team him up with Drew and have connections to Regal’s Crew and that’ll make him “tough” again.

Finlay has always been better as a heel he needs his old "i love to fight moniker" and music back. Everytime I hear his music it puts a bad taste in my mouth reminding me of his horrible storyline with Hornswoggle (I would rather watch Katie Vick 100 times over than to live through that horrible McMahon son angle again)

The problem right now is theres no place for him as a heel right now they have almost the whole roster paired up in feuds right now

Jericho - Cryme Tyme & Raw feuds

I think when the time comes he would be a good heel tag team partner and manager for Sheamus. By then the division can get moved around a little bit up and create room for him to take a heel turn

Maybe have them feud with a face Hart Dynasty giving Dynasty and Sheamus a rub

I can't stand Finlay right now. He just has this whole "bitch" aura about him. I loved when he was the pissed off Irishman who beat people's asses with his Shillelagh. He's a damn good wrestler, he's got that veteran experience, and that whole knowledge about the business and is a seriously underrated dude in the biz. Definitely turn him heel again, maybe go and abuse his son Hornswoggle, i'd laugh.
