There was a time when I would have said no. I was a fan of the New Age Outlaws (although I prefer me some Road Dogg). However, Kip James is down right nausiating. I would rather drink hot dog water then watch one of his matches.

I have no huge issue with Billy Gunn. He did a hell of a lot more than his brother. Fair athleticism and, when paired with someone decent, put in some strong mic work.

BTW, he didn't just job to Sabrina, he no-sold too.

Jake, this is why I posted my opinion on Billy Gunn in my own thread, so people wouldn't do this! Billy Gunn has a special place in my heart, and you are all just making me sad.

I like Billy Gunn. I did and still do find him entertaning to watch. As a part of Billy and Chuck he was in a good tag team that held multiple Tag Title reigns. He also was ap rt of the most dominating faction in WWE history DX and held multiple Tag titles with Road Dogg as a part of the New Age Outlaws. In TNA he is back with Road Dogg as VKM and I have a feeling they will be winning the TNA tag titles as well. So IMO BIlly Gunn is not shit and is still very entertaing to watch and I hope he is Champion again.

He was in his prime right after the outlaws broke up, but he never had any real character, which is sad because i thought he always had a little bit of charisma.

Billy was never able to get to the main event in the WWE, but I think he was a consistently solid midcard wrestler. He was also a part of the New Age Outlaws, which I consider one of the top 10 tag teams I've ever seen. Bart Gunn sucked, but Billy was good.

I just said bad coz there are better hes maybe average at best. He used to be better tho btw im not sayin he used to be great just kinda okay.

He has some big moves at times and can work a match but he dosnt perform consistantly, hes boring now and never does much agree?

Hes in a storyline that is the ole classic of will the team split or not which could do something for him if he tries hard to make it work.

Whatever way he wants to dress is his business just perform in ring and have a try at doing the mic.

eh..out of the '99 lineup of DX, he was second only to Triple H as far as athleticism

he has charisma and decent mic skills. It doesnt really go further than that.

good midcarder.

I think they decided to just drop his fued with The Rock. They could tell he would never get over as a main eventer, if thats even what they were attempting. I dont see how he failed. it jsut got dropped and he was sent to the midcard where he belongs.

like i said...good midcard fella.

Yeah but when you feud with The Rock how do you not get over? All you have to do is act annoyed when he takes the piss out out of you. It's pretty simple. I'm also not seeing this athleticism you're on about. Direct me to it please. If he's athletic what was X-Pac?

And he did act annoyed. im sure he did all the things that every other wrestler did when they fueded with The Rock. And there have been points in time when he has been decently over ( his first title run as The One) but i think there is, with any wrestler, an extent to how over you can get. Some wrestlers no matter how over just arent World Champ material. ie Billy Gunn.

And i might have typed that wrong. I should rather say he was just as athletic as X Pac but behind Triple H..which i guess is just my way of saying Road Dogg sucked. But people truely hated XPac. Some were partial to Gunn. And Gunn was a much more beleiveable title contender than Xpac would ever be...i cant ever remember him ever even getting a WWE Championship title shot..actually he did against Rock sometime in early 99 i believe on Raw.

I cant say he was bad. I cant. He wasnt amazing in the ring or on the mic. Decent. Best way to describe Gunn. Decent.

Billy Gun sucks. He has had chances to elevate him to the main event scene and failed. X-pac was more athletic than Gun. I kinda like the Mr. ASS gimick it was pretty funny but then his career went to hell with the whole gay angle with Chuck.

I wouldn't say that Billy Gunn sucks, he may not be a main eventer, but in his prime he was a good mid-carder. During his DX/New Age Outlaws days he was pretty good, he is fairly athletic and pretty good on the mic, which makes him decent, he may not be great, but he certainly does not suck.

Billy Gunn always had enough athleticism and charisma to elevate a tag team. He did not, however, have enough of either to make him a legitmate singles star. His one noteworthy acheivements as a singles star was a fued with The Rock, that didn't do anything but keep The Rock out of the title hunt for a couple months, a few title reigns that failed to get him over with the crowd, and the most wasteful King of the Ring winner EVER. I remember Edge's promo the night after he won KOTR and Billy interrupted him. Edge referred to him as Billy Bitchcakes, and even though Billy said he wanted to fight him, it really didn't look that way. Billy Gunn just doesn't know how to work with other people. He always has to get his offense in a match, and when he talks on the mic with someone else, he never seems interested in what the other person says. He just looks like he's waiting to get to talk. That's the most aggravating thing about him; He's loves himself just a little too much. To sum up Billy Gunn, let me quote Edge once more:
" I just hope I don't Billy Gunn my opportunity".
