Seth Rollins or Dolph Ziggler

Pre-Show Stalwart
Hello World,

I have an interesting question about Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler. I want to know who is really the real show off or show stealer.

The way I feel is like this, both men pride themselves on giving their best, and leaving the fans with the best match that can possibly give.

With Dolph Ziggler, we all know he's a great wrestler. One of the greatest technical wrestlers in the business. In my opinion he has a mixture of Mr. Perfect and a little Shawn Michaels in him. And he knows his way around the ring really well. He knows and reminds us in his passionate promos that he's the show off and show stealer, and a match with Ziggler is worth watching.

As for Seth Rollins. He really don't brag too much on his accomplishments and him being a show stealer. He just does it. His matches with against the Wyatts, and especially against the Real Americans were beyond satisfaction. He really came into his own and showed he's really in the WWE to be the best.

So in your Opinion who do you consider the true showoff of WWE Seth Rollins or Dolph Ziggler.

Although Dolph coined himself the Showoff, I will have to go with Seth Rollins.

um can I say neither one...

if I had to choose who is better than in going with Dolph Ziggler and its not even close. But imo this isnt a fair comparison. Seth Rollins has a huge advantage because he is a part of the Shield. Seth gets more chances to steal the show, he had longer matches with better wrestlers than Dolph usually does. Dolph is usually the underdog in every match while Seth is usually on the dominant side of a match. We have to wait to see what Seth does on his own before we compare the two. But imo, Seth will be on Superstars and a jobber after the Shield splits up. He does nothing special and doesn't stand out in anyway. He's Tyson Kidd 2.0, and I actually think Tyson is better in the ring than Seth.

It is generally more impressive when a person just does something compared to a guy who says he's going to it and now we have to wait for him to prove him. (I hope that made sense)

Ziggler has been on some really great matches, for instance I absolutely loved his performance on Raw's Fatal 4 Way. He's a great talent and really shines when he's given the chance.

Rollins has been outright amazing lately, he is this generation's Walking Highlight Reel. I wouldn't call him the "Show Off" though since he doesn't have that kind of personality, nor is he really trying to show off. He's just trying to do amazing moves when we least expect them and that's what makes him awesome. :)

Seth Rollins without a doubt. I'm not taking anything away from Zigglar because he is a fantastic wrestler but Rollins stands out in every match, promo, and angle that the shield are involved in. If anyone is honestly not sold on Rollins go watch some of his roh matches.

Dolph Ziggler is extremely athletic, very quick and knows how to sell the match.. For some reason or another,he just isnt that over with the crowd, people dont seem to buy into him all that much.. He is a solid-mid card guy but will never be the top guy.. Seth Rollins we have yet to really see,he is also athletic but doesn't try to steal the show,he just does it..

I think Seth is on par with Dolph athletic wise, but in the end it will be Seth who both steals the show and shows off, although he wont do it on purpose! Seth is not the type of guy that says "Hey Look at Me"

I would go for Seth Rollins as well. Both are talented acrobatic innovative and show off but Seth got the moves. No one had expected him to put on such a show against John Cena few weeks before.

And Ziggler lacks the Stamina and Charisma that Seth does. Seth can have long brawls but the only long match Ziggler had was with Del Rio when he lost the WHC. The No:1 contendor match between Fandango and Dolph at Christmas eve shows his lack of charisma.

Seth haven't played a lot of singles match though he impressed everyone in the WWE with his shows and his little feud with Ambrose shows how awesome he is with the mike too..

The bottomline is Seth Rollins is the real Show OFF.... If you're not down with it i got TWO WORDS FOR YA ;)

Is this even a question?

Seth Rollins hands down. Dolph Ziggler likes to take awkward & unnecessary bumps & therefor will always be a jobber to main event stars. If he wants to make it to the top than stop over selling a simple move that Santino took last week & barely reacted. Also Ziggler wearing shirts with designs that looks like the Save By The Bell opening credits doesn't help. It's the subliminal / little things like this that will keep talented guys down.

Seth Rollins (Shield) was given a gimmick that most guys on the WWE roster would want. It's like the nWo when it first started, everyone wanted to be with the black & white 4 life because it was cool. Seth Rollins has a great offensive move set & I truly see all 3 members of the Shield as the WWE WHC.

It's too soon to really say with Rollins at this point. Overall, with the exception of John Cena, The Shield has gotten the strongest and most consistent booking of anyone on the WWE roster in years. All three have been booked to look like stars and, as a group, they've most definitely delivered. Rollins is very athletic, he's young and, to me, he's the one that's sort of emerged as a little more of a stand out over the course of the past several weeks. Rollins is definitely able to get the crowd pumped whenever he's in the ring, especially if he's in due to a hot tag or he's in the middle of a energetic rally. However, as I've said with Ambrose and Reigns, I'm curious to see how Rollins is able to do on his own. If the reports are true, however, we won't be seeing that for a while as Ambrose & Rollins are, allegedly, gonna be a tag team.

I like Ziggler, have for quite a while. I doubt he'll wind up as the top guy in WWE, especially now that there's only one World Championship. I think that Rollins has more of a chance as he's younger, he's fresher and he just seems to have a lot more going for him now than Ziggler. Both he & Ziggler have put on show stealing matches, but I'd need to see Rollins out on his own to gauge what his future could be/should be, at least in my own eyes.

Personally, I like Ziggler a lot, but definitely prefer Rollins. Ziggler takes some amazing bumps, but doesn't offer anything amazing offensively, whereas Rollins does both. Anybody who wants to see what Rollins is truly capable of (without WWE limitations in other words) should look at his time as Tyler Black in Ring of Honor. The guy can wrestle with the best of them.

In terms of your actual question? Ziggler. Rollins isn't showing off, in fact he is playing incredibly safe because, as we all know, WWE limits the moves that talent actually get to pull off in the ring.

I was actually comparing Ziggler and Rollins recently, and although I love both, I actually prefer Rollins' selling. You see, Ziggler's selling has a very performative aspect to it, and seems to be designed to draw attention to himself - he often jumps into crossbodies or over rotates on slams, resulting in us thinking about him and not the executor of the move, whether or not that is his intention. Rollins, on the other hand, merely makes the other man look good, and sells brilliantly within that. A casual fan would probably prefer Ziggler's selling style, but I prefer how Rollins, y'know, doesn't start flipping until AFTER he's been clotheslined or what have you.

Overall, however, I think Ziggler has a way of ripping your heart out during his matches if you're a fan of his, a la HBK. His near falls after a leg drop bulldog or jumping DDT are amazing, because he sells the pin like he's fully expecting to win off of those moves. And although I know that those moves almost never result in a win, (although he's had them steal victories enough now that it adds a shade of doubt) his performance makes me eat the near fall pretty often.

Seth Rollins and it's not even close. He's impressed me far more in sixteen months than Dolph Ziggler has done in over five years. In the ring, Rollins is one of the very top prospects that WWE have got in their ranks at the moment. Whether or not his mic and character work will develop enough for him to be a main event worker remains to be seen, but I'd take him over Ziggler any day of the week.

Always hard to compare a guy whose ring persona is well-developed and long-standing against a performer who is first finding his way, but if I were forced to stand the two side-by-side and choose, I'd pick Rollins for the massive potential he seems to be showing.

When the Shield first came into prominence, Seth Rollins appeared to be the #3 man; Ambrose was cast nominally as the leader of the group in that he spoke first and most often. Meanwhile Reigns had that unique look, and functioned as the muscle of the trio. But as time has passed, Rollins became the one who showed the most dynamic presence during matches.....which was soon augmented by flashes of personality in mic time.

Dolph, meanwhile has appeared more as a human pinball game than "one of the best technical wrestlers" in WWE. He's an accomplished selling machine, but a man who has fallen short of the extreme career heights that were set out for him to reach. As much as most folks on this forum prefer to see everyone cast as a heel, Dolph seems much more proficient as a face. Honestly, I don't understand why the company was so insistent on making him a bad guy; perhaps they felt he could get over more easily that way......but have learned differently.

Both men work well in the ring, but based on the ability to win over an audience with on-air persona, I'd bet on Seth Rollins topping anything Dolph Ziggler could ever accomplish over time.

Dolph Ziggler is not the "best". If you truly think so, you obviously know nothing about what a good talent is.. He's nothing more than a glorified stunt dummy. He sounds like a girl when he talks, his hair is ugly. He's not a professional, he runs his mouth when he's not suppose to. His finisher is terrible, he's very limited in the ring, he's not very strong, I've never seen him lift anybody in WWE. Dolph Ziggler is by far the most overrated talent on the internet.

Everything stated above are facts to... Deal with it Ziggler marks.

With Dolph Ziggler, we all know he's a great wrestler. One of the greatest technical wrestlers in the business.
Am I the only one who laughed really, REALLY hard at this statement?

As for the comparison:

Ziggler's offense is ridiculous, and his selling is so over the top that its not even really comical, in fact it's distracting. He's actually decent on the mic, better than he gets credit for, clearly loves the business, and can be entertaining, but mostly in the "watching a car accident" kind of way.

As for Rollins, he's superior to Ziggler across the board. "Tyler Black" couldn't cut a promo to save his life, while "Seth Rollins" has settled in as a solid worker of the stick. Rollins is an exaggerated seller as well, but in a way that works and doesn't cause you to giggle or shake your head. Also his offense is far more varied, diverse, and logical.

Rollins is a better character and a better worker, and will be a much bigger deal than Ziggler is/has been/will be(if he's not already).

It's too early for me to judge Rollins. I'd have to see more of his WWE solo work. His matches against Bryan were awesome though.

I'd go with Ziggler but he needs to sell moves safer.

I am obsessed with Dolph and know for a fact one day he will shine as the champ of the company. Currently however I have to side with Rollins. I was able to see him LIVE in an insane 60 minute time limit draw against Aries over 4 years ago and he was only 23 at the time! The way the crowd was behind him, and the way he absorbed our energy, he proved he was worthy of a main event champion run, and he did just that by capturing the gold about 3 months later in another awesome match. Out of all the people that left ROH to sign with WWE, I foresaw the best outcome for Seth Rollins. To be on his way up at such a young age with so much people behind him, a great physique and look, and a title run under his belt, I knew he was set to do big things. Even last week at the Raw show in NYC, being there LIVE I could say he was the most exciting to see wrestle and ended up exciting the crowd multiple times, even in the dark match.
