Seems like WWE is finally ending the stables

It seems like The Nexus and The Corre are finally in the right direction - they're on their way to get scrapped.

On Smackdown, you could already see the seeds of The Corre's destruction when they took out Big Zik. Even if you do count 3 people as a stable, I doubt the remins of The Corre will stay together for much longer.
On Raw, it's just starting, but considering Maison Raine has already started showing anti-group attitude and is getting a push, and if you count in the fact that CM Punk will probably leave WWE soon, The Nexus has its days numbered.
So, what do you think?

How long do you think each group has until it officially ceases to exist?
Who do you think will benefit most from his groups disband?
Do you like it or not?

First off, THANK GOD! I hate the fact that they created the New Nexus and the Corre. It brought nothing new to the fold and it only made the stables look worse when one or two guys mowed through them like a yard of tall grass on a Saturday morning. The original purpose of the Nexus group has faded away and keeping these two groups around is a bit unneccessary. CM Punk hasn't done anything for the group since he's taken over. Only used the group for his own agenda. I give the New Nexus maybe 2 more weeks before they break up. Mason Ryan seems to be the only one who will benefit from the split. he doesn't seem to need anyone and the other two guys are lost without some sort of direction.

As far as the Corre. Zeke has already broken away and I don't see the rest of them together for that much longer. Maybe another month or so and then they split. I think they all will benefit from the split because each of them have something to bring to the table.

They need to break these groups up, they're not doing anything. I think the Corre was a mistake from the jump. They never had much sizzle to them. All the did was beat up Big Show, big whup! Zeke needs to go be a dominate force on his own, preferably a heel. Same for Wade who needs to be built as a single heel with the IC belt. I think Gabriel and Slater would be better off as a face tag team for awhile, neither of them are all that ready to strike out on their own imo. As for the new Nexus, that was a fail. Punk needs to be on his own (on a side note, who said him leaving was imminent? Its contract negotiations, this is how it works, maybe he sticks around, maybe not). Ryan is definitely getting a push, not sure why so early, but whatever. I think Otunga actually had a decent gimmick headed out of NXT, and even as an insubordinate to Barrett, but since then? Nada, don't know if they even have plans for him. Mcgillicutty needs a name and gimmick change...badly. The guys a Henig, I kno Vince wants to own names for these guys, but its not working.

I agree with the general attitde in this thread that it's good the groups are breaking up. I never liked The Nexus or anything that has come from it. There were a few good moments through all this time but way too much crap.

You just can't throw a bunch of guys into a stable when they have nothing in common and don't "go" together. There needs to be some cohesion. We need to believe that the guys would hang out in real life.

This was the biggest problem with "New Nexus" and why they come off like the weakest stable in WWE history. When CM Punk took over, it was an opportunity to rename or re-gimmick all the members that WWE passed on. I'm sure Michael McGillicutty would have benefited from Punk giving him a new moniker/nickname, or maybe "Husky" Harris could have risen up in the ranks and been allowed to go by his "actual" first name. Mason Ryan shouldn't even be in a stable, and David Otunga has really failed to make any real impression in WWE. I wouldn't be surprised to see the entire "New Nexus" get sent back to FCW, or released.

hmm.... i think they are destroying the stables...but they screwed up when they got rid of wade barret from the nexus...i like the original nexus better...that would have saved wwe and got more ratings.

The stables are better when they go for outright domination like NEXUS did when they first came. Since Punk took over nothing seems to have happened, yes the fued with Orton but he done a lot of thaton his own. New NEXUS looked good at first the whole faith think really looked promising, but then....meh.
If they are to work behave with unpredictablillity wreck stuff, tear things apart just fuck that shit up.

I think both are finished, or so I hope.

The Corre has never been interesting. Maybe it was the move to Smackdown, having less guys, Wade no longer being a main-eventer. Whatever. Either way, the whole thing has put me to sleep.

Punk leading Nexus started off with a bang, and then nothing. Not Punk's fault, those other guys just suck, plain and simple. Orton punting most of them back to FCW should have been the end of it, but I suppose another couple of weeks won't kill me.

Going forward, I would love to see Barrett on his own. If not completely alone, maybe one other guy, a lackey. A Virgil, if that's easier to understand. Wade is still quite green in the ring, but he has a presence, and he's a great talker.

I'm hoping Punk is alone for a good while, mainly so he can wash the stink of the New Nexus off. Then, bring back the S.E.S. Oh, and give him some up-and-coming talent this time, not a bunch of bums.

I hope these stables end as soon as possible because they are just dragging everyone in the stables down, CM Punk and Wade Barrett the most. They have not really done anything since after Survivor Series when Cena was fired, it just went downhill from there IMO. They used to beat the crap out of high card talent, veterans, and the most popular wrestlers when the "old" nexus started, now they are feuding with mid card talent sporadically and it is just plain boring. They are both down to three people and that is not much of a stable, i am hoping the defectors turn face, temporarily, and work to destroy their respective stables.

it about time those stables do end the nexus had there run but they just look right wit cm punk as there leader and the core is cool but it was like looking at the nexus on raw just end it and go on wit everything

They're definitely not going to just end all stables but I do agree that the New Nexus and The Corre have run their course and though I do believe they have run their course, we can still get a decent amount of singles superstars out of this. WWE is already hinting at the push of Mason Ryan and we all know what CM Punk is capable of. As for the rest of the Nexus, I send McGillicutty down to hone his skills and re-package him and bring him back as Joe Hennig, maybe putting him in that Fourtunate Sons stable they were rumored about making a while back with the Dibiase brothers and possibly David Hart Smith. Wouldn't know what to do with Otunga. Then you have Wade Barrett, who should get a push as a top heel on Smackdown and eventually get to work with Orton. Then there is Gabriel and Slater. You can keep them as a tag team because they have experience together and because that is the only way I think Slater has a chance at being relevant, to be perfectly honest, but I'd like to see Gabriel break off. I think him on Smackdown, working matches with Sin Cara, Tyson Kidd, Daniel Bryan, Chavo, etc. would be some highly entertaining matches, which brings me to my last point. Bring back the cruiserweight championship. You have all of these guys who are capable of putting on great matches but none of whom you will probably ever put a big time strap on (aside from Bryan w/ the US Title). Move Bourne to smackdown and you'll have a cruiserweight division of Bourne, Sin Cara, Chavo, Bryan, Kidd, Gabriel, Slater and Tatsu. Great potential there.

good the nexus was really cool at the begining but nexus without barette and then barette starts the corre on smackdown just dident work for me.

it killed off all the characters even cm punk when he joined nexus that was lame I like him way more when he had the strait edge society.

I realy dont care about any of the nexus or corre at all when I watch either raw or smackdown WWE dropped the ball in so many ways during the nexus storyline I do want them just to dissapear.

I think I liked the spirit squad more than nexus and the corre.
