Think of the last great SD fued? For me it's Eddie and Rey. And when Eddie did the first prmo after his heel turn it was great. Then they made it about the fact Eddie was dominiques real dad. Why? There was no need! It already had enough heat. I could list 100 other exaples of bad writing on SD but you should be able to see them for yourself. I serouisly think Vince doesn't care anymore a re-uniting of the brands seems likley to me.kornavt said:

When SD had Stephanie as GM and had Rock, Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle and HHH that was SDs glory days and RAW had no chance against it.
SD has potential to compete with RAW but has had a few knocks with Angle and Orton leaving, Rey Main Eventing, and when Batista got injured thats when it all started to go wrong.
Batista returns next week, Get Angle and orton back ,Get Rey away from the mainevent,JBl and Benoit will be back all that could help SD.

I just want to say that I think that SD has become like WCW Thunder...awful. I know they want to put Bobby Lashley over, but why do it by having him beat Booker T every week?! They are doing to him what they did to Jericho. Jericho won the Undisputed title, then his career went downhill. Booker T had the series with Benoit. After that, he became King Jobber. Whoever's idea that was needs to be beaten within an inch of his life. Booker T could be one of the guys to get SD out of this funk. I mean, what the hell are they doing with Rey? You're the champ, and you get beat every week?! Why even let this happen? The only thing I can see is them building is some kind of "Batista saves SD" angle, but why do it like this? They are just making smarks wet their pants. By their reasoning, Khali or Big Show or Undertaker or whoever the biggest guy is should be champ. They are burying Booker T for nothing. If anybiody is watching the fued with Lashley, you know what I mean. SD, you get no kudos! Actually, I'm watching an old episode of SD right now. It was around the release of the Day of Reckoning video game and the No Mercy PPV. I don't think it was that bad. The current SD is worse than bad.

I don't think so. Triple H knows that RAW is the Flagship show of the WWE. Why would he want to leave? I think they could do something with current talent. They just need to have better matches, and please have somebody with a cerebral cortex book the show. They could even do something on UPN. Granted some people don't even get UPN, but if you have excellent matches you can overcome many things. Push cruiserweights, push tag titles, and push the talent that you have. Don't eff over them. Khali? Mark Henry? Lashley? These guys are making the whole SD roster look like crap! Why put Mark Henry over by having him squash the champ every week? If the smark contingency didn't file out when Rey became champ, they are filing out now. Booker T is being beaten every week by Lashley. What in the hell? I think that show is being booked by Stephanie's butt.

Raw would come out and bring up a question, first thing that comes to my mind was when flair was the raw manager and mcmahon was going to destroy his own company. Smackdown would then bring the answer to the question and sometimes even add a small question to be answered on raw, McMahon announced that he's bringing back NWO and on raw they came out and hogan attacked the rock. I think it's that equation that allowed Smackdown to survive.
Vince doesnt give a sh*t about sd... he appears every week on Raw... He'd do the same for smackdown if he cared! It has the potential to be great in the near future... ONLY IF THEY TREAT IT AS THEY TREAT RAW... as an A show rather the B show...

he can win the world title & get the oppertunities that he deserves instead of IC title reigns...
a bunch of their stars are also being used wrong... honestly i can say that over time, I'm really enjoying Mark Henry (say w/e u want)... as far as Khali goes... he sucks.

When Batista, Benoit and JBL are back SD will rise again but 3 of its best superstars have been out so we knew SD would go through a bad few months. But IMO SD stilll can compete with RAW if when the 3 main names ie Batista ,JBL, Benoit are back. khali, Been Taped and Rey Mysterio as WHC is letting SD down alot. Drop the Great Joke Khali get ray away from mainevent and get a live slot on another network SD will be a better show.

SD can never ever be as good as RAW with Rey as champ, Benoit out, Booker T as 'king', Undertaker stuck in this Khali fued, and JBL on commentary. Batista's back this week which should be a huge boost, but he needs to then go on and win the world HEAVYWEIGHT title pretty quickly. Get Khali fighting or teaming with Henry, and Undertaker vs Batista for the WHC, with Booker T close behind and Rey back down in challenging for the cruiserweight title with guys like London, Kendrick, Helms, Noble, Kash and Hardy --- that could really raise the crusierweight division and help get SD back on its feet.
Then when Benoit gets back, he needs to be challenging for the title as well, and leave the US title to guys like Lashley, Finlay, Regal, and other mid-carders.
The very fact that Vince appears on Raw every week must say something --- why doesn't he appear on SD every week? It's because he obviously sees it as the B show, so treats it differently. All the stars are on Raw.

Well apparantly Chris Masters is being sent to Smackdown. He's talented so perhaps that will help. Although it seems a bit like adding a decent second line player to the St.Louis Blues, a good start but they will still stink. It will help when Benoit gets back, as Benoit always puts on a good show in the ring.
Batista will add a bit of starpower to the roster, although I heard that JBL is done in the ring. Apparantly he's too banged up to continue wrestling. But that may be nothing more than a rumor. If they are going to replace him with a different commentator. I always enjoyed Cyrus.
If it were up to me, I'd likely fire Mark Henry and the Great Khali as they both bore the hell out of me. And perhaps transfer Carlito over to Smackdown. I could see Carlito going over well if he was given so more time to shine in. Exactly! Where the FUCK is he? He's NEVER on TV any more! Why do they have a feud going with Khali if that feud is only at non-taped house shows? Vinnie Mac needs to fire the SD! writers and hire... me. jk. But if you think about it, SD!'s problems started with it's current writers and Henry and Khali. Get back Kurt, Benoit, Batista, (screw JBL- he's fat and can't wrestle any more), bring Big Show over, (he's not right for ECW), bring in Benjamin and Masters, get RAW's writing team, get RID of UPN and make SD! a late-night show so you can do more stuff with it, and you'll have a GREAT SmackDown!
Yea, that is rather problematic in that they try to push Smackdown as more family friendly and pander to the Latino minority. Personally I'm pretty sure the ratings would be better if it was simply Friday Night Raw. Smackdown needs some talent, direction and better booking. It was actually the better of the two shows when it first came out..now its kind of sad.

Everyone has been saying how SmackDown sucks and that it needs better wrestlers and that it should be live. In my opinion, SmackDown has been more entertaining than RAW this past month. While RAW and ECW have been battling, SD has been putting on solid wrestling matches, they're wrestling is better than RAW's right now. I am willing to bet that with anyone. Someone said Vince didn't care about SD because he appears on RAW. What would the point of him appearing be anyway? He was on SD almost every week in 2003 and that didn't help the ratings. Most of the people that say SmackDown suck don't even watch the damn show anyway.
I've been watching the show and it really hasn't been that good. I'm kind of tired of seeing Rey Mysterio wrestling in a match against someone 2-3 times his size it just looks silly. There are some decent matches but you tend to see them being repeated altogether too frequently these days. Like Booker vs Lashly has happened far too many times..

There's one area where SmackDown! has performed better than Raw in recent months. While Raw was giving us a 5 vs. 1 Handicap Match featuring the Spirit Squad every week, SmackDown! had a legitimate main event. Things have taken a turn as of late, with SmackDown's roster thinning out, it seems to be Bobby Lashley vs. King Booker EVERY SINGLE DAMN WEEK!!! And while I don't care for the Raw vs. ECW thing that's going on, at least it has given us some interesting main events.
I personally would like to see Angle and Big Show back on SmackDown! along with some promising new talent, and I would love to see it on a different network. UPN/CW has too strict standards when it comes to censorship, and that in part is also hurting the product, along with a lot of the silly gimmicks. Come on - a pirate? A guy with a leprachaun? The Boogeyman? I feel like I'm watching WWF circa 1995 here.
