Scott Pilgrim vs The World

I always check Xbox Live on Wednesdays because that's when the new arcade games come out. I knew Shank was to be released this past Wednesday, but I had no idea that there was a Scott Pilgrim vs. The World game planned for the arcade.

I didn’t have enough Microsoft points to purchase the arcade game, but I did download the trial and played through the first level. I actually enjoyed it; it felt as though I was playing the old Ninja Turtles or Simpsons arcade games. The graphics are great in the fact that it’s actually styled after being 8-bit. The game play is extremely repetitive but what do you expect from a side scrolling beat ‘em up?

Has anyone else played this XBLA game, I’m assuming it was also on the PSN not sure though, and what was your opinion on the game?

Hmmm... Interesting, never saw the movie, I guess I will try to eventually. But for now I guess I'll download this demo. Probably won't buy it but once done the demo I'll give a short rating or review by editing this post.

The game reflects Arcade games of old, Games such as Street's of rage, final fight and parodies alot of elements such as Mario brothers, Sonic and other classic platformers.

I bought the game from Xbox live and I must say it is amazing, I am currently attempting to defeat the final ex boyfriend, you have two choices with this arcade game, to either play on your own or play through with a friend.

I love playing this with my wife and attempt to get through, I've been mowing through bosses and complete this game to secure myself a first place position on the leaderboard.

The one thing i don't see is online play, Such as co-op with those with Xbox live tags, i may be wrong but it is not a working function on the game.

Overall a game of quality and any Arcade platform heads wanting or fans of the movie wanting to give the game a good play you should do, it is well cheap only costing 800 credits, I know worse games online that cost five times that.

I love this game. It's really put together well and gives a great 'old school' feel. I haven't gotten very far in it, but it does seem somewhat easy, but most of the 'old school' games are compared to newer ones with complex controls.

I loved the movie too, so this is a perfect follow up while I rock out to the soundtrack.

This isn't a bad I had fun playing the demo and is a game that has a nice old school feel to it. It kind of combines the element of Street Fighter and Super Mario into one. Sure, their not the first to do it but they do it well. It is a platformer which is a genre losing it's popularity now a days.I also like how they added multiplayer which is very simple yet effective. If I were you I would go play the demo.
