Saving the X Division: Who Will Foley Pick?

I actually like the angle they have going about destroying the X-Division. It puts focus on some guys that can actually go in ring. That has always been a bit of a knock on the X-Division is that its all about in ring, and no storylines to follow. My one issues with this particular storyline is the people they have in it. Do you think Spanky, Red, and the Bucks are the best 4 to be 'saving' the X-Division? I know AJ has something else going on now a days with Dream but to me the people saving the X Division are the guys that actually built it into something. I would have AJ Styles, Daniels, Kazarian and maybe bring back Low Ki or something.

I think the people they have in it are fine. They may not be the best representatives but it's only so many times u can have AJ & Daniels try to save the division and be involved in the division in some form. Me personally, I like Kendrick as the mouthpiece of the div. He fits the role quite well. He and the rest of the guys involved in trying to save the div. actually need tv time and need there face out there. Them being in the same ring as Hogan, Foley, and Bischoff is like a huge deal. It's not often that Hogan is sharing camera time with guys almost 2 feet smaller than him so imo they get a slight rub off of it. The only thing left is for them to execute it well and make sure the X-div guys get over and TNA also has to make sure the division is highlighted once everything is over with. That is the important thing to me.

i think they need to rid the x division it just limits the guys who should achieve, look at aj hes been world champ and is not recoginsed for having a good title run hes famous for an x division title which is bulllshit
get rid of all the divisions and just have world championship, tag championships, impact championship , xplosion championship and womens championship kiss

Foley mentioned that he would be out looking for some of the best X Division guys in the World for an ultimate X match at the PPV...

Who do you think he will pick?

Personally, I would love to see Low Ki come back and maybe even Kid Kash since he was around at the start of the X Division and has a history with Abyss or "Big Scary Dude" lol

Who would be your picks?

If he will be using non TNA regulars, I would try and get Lowki, Sonjay, Dragon Kid, and maybe someone else we haven't seen in TNA before...

I was really hoping he was going to bring back the X Cup Tournament... that would have been cool...

It is just weird for them to treat the X Division guys as a stable and have them be united when weeks ago even the Bucks were starting to feud with each other...

They don't need a big storyline to build up the X Division... Just bring back a guy like Low Ki and let them put on 10 to 15 minute matches where they actually get to showcase what made the X Division what it was in the first place...

I really do hope in some way something good will come from Abyss being the X Division Champion...

I think we might have a Low ki sighting sometime this summer as well. I wish they bring back Petey Williams as well, I really wanna see a Canadian destroyer again.

To be honest I see really good things coming from Kazarian and Brian Kendrick. Maybe Kaz will win back the title and we will get a respect program between him and Kendrick. That will be a fun program.

Petey Williams would be my pick to see come back, he was one of my faves when i first started watching TNA. Low Ki, I still don't see what everybody see's in this guy, he's one of my least fave x division guys.... ever.

If Foley is "scouring the globe" for talent, rest assured that it won't simply be the the returns of guys like Lethal. I wouldn't be shocked to see Sonjay Dutt, Petey Williams, Low Ki and potentially a few Japanese and/or Mexican luchadors make their way in, if even for a one-week spot.

I think that 1 of the wrestlers will be El Zorro from AAA since it was reported months ago that he had signed a 2 year non exclusive deal with TNA and still not debuted on tv.

Id also love to see Rey Bucanero, Volador JR, Averno and Ultimo Guerrero return since they all looked amazing when they won the TNA 2008 World X Cup Tournament.

I never watched TNA before 2010 so I don't know who was there before that they could bring back.
I think TNA definitely needs better people than the 4 in the little group they have now. Kendrick might not be totally useless, but he is close. I don't see him as someone who should ever hold a title, even the X division. he is boring.
the guys who should be "saving" the X division are guys like Kazarian, Daniels, Lethal(if he returns), Robbie E(although a new name would be better). and if they are not going to use AJ Styles in the heavy weight title scene, they could at least use him in the X division. Kendrick and even Amazing Red should be jobbers.

But after seeing his match with Robbie E when he said "God has a plan for you!!" to Cookie i said to my self man this is funny shit. Did you see his promo against Bischoff last-night? That was gold. Anyways, if they don't choose Kendrick i would like them (TNA) to bring back Petey "Canadian Destroyer" Williams.

Kendrick is a fine would-be champion. He'd be somewhat transitional since he's a face and faces don't tend to hold belts like that very long, but I'd have very little issue with him winning it.

That said, I actually don't think he will. I think the guy who finally returns to beat Abyss is going to be Jay Lethal who TNA will likely begin to build as their next big-time X Division guy.

Well thats your opinion, and i can respect that. To me Kendrick is not that small for an x-division guy, at least he is not hornswoggle . Also i like his promos, as they seem a little out there like some sort of a Charles Manson cult type thing.

Nice to see some votes for Petey Williams. The guy was a great in ring competitor. He may not have had the greatest Mic skills, but why does he need them anyway? He's a wrestler. He could learn too. Just drop the Mini Me Poppa Pump gimmick and we are all set. Awesome stuff. Hopefully he gets in!

I like the fact that x division gets more attention now, but I don't understand current booking. the x-division guys lost all their matches with Immortal and Immortal even did not have to cheat to win. And last night Kendrick just made a fool of him self. First giving promo about how he is born to fight abyss or whatever, and than he looses. What is the point of this? This only shows that hogan and bischoff are right. X-division is a joke.

I’m not sure who Mick Foley will pick, but I agree, I don’t think the current “X-Men” strong enough to save the Division. I think they may just be appetizers for Immortal. Who knows, it could end up being the best storyline ever. It just started.

I would eventually have Fourtune’s Christopher Daniels A. J. Styles and Kaz lead the charge, and add the surprise returns of Chris Sabin, Petey Williams, and Jay Lethal. I would even have Samoa Joe and or Doug Williams in there as the characters who has to choose which side to join.
