We get a lot of questions and requests, and most are just repeats of the same ones. Instead of making a new topic every week, here's our answers on some of the issues the posters have brought up in the past.

Can you make a wrestling media forum for sharing of matches, music, pictures, and other wrestling-related stuff?

It's a good idea, and I don't think anyone is against free stuff, but the answer is no. Most wrestling-related stuff is owned by some company, and posting it for free is a violation of the copyrights they may have over the matches, music, pictures, etc. The site can be sued if we facilitate the exchange of such material.

Can you make a pornography forum?

No. We had one years ago, but it was decided that it 1.) was a liability for copyright infringement, 2.) opened the possibility for providing pornography to minors, and 3.) had many people register just to lurk that forum. Anything with nudity or pornography is strictly forbidden and will result in instant banning of the person.

Can you create a X forum?

Unless we see that demand is great (and not by one poster flooding a forum w/ topics, mind you), we don't intend on making any new forums. There have been requests for weightlifting, cars, action figures, and a few other types of forums in the past, but demand wasn't there.

Can you ban/warn X?

If you have an issue with a poster, don't make it public. PM a global mod or admin and we'll look into it.

How do you become a mod or admin?

There's no application process. Just post regularly and well, and you'll possibly be noticed when the need is there. Being a mod is a big responsibility, and we need to have someone who can handle it. Just saying you can do it isn't enough. Just keep posting and you may just get the nod. But remember, patience is a virtue. Requesting a mod spot is an easy way to lose nomination for the spot.

How can I have a custom avatar?

Can't. Uploading or linking to custom avatars take up space on the server or increase load time, respectively, so unfortunately it's not allowed. If some graphics makers create some new general avatars (like the ones in our gallery), also at the moment we can not upload Avatars to the gallery, so we are stuck with the one’s we have, for now.

Why did X get banned?

I'm sure whatever reason a poster gets banned is a good one. Nobody on the mod staff who can ban does so without reason. Chances are the person was warned enough or was stirring up shit.

Where can I get a free live PPV stream?

Not here. Such links are illegal, so they're not going on through here. If you wanna facilitate an exchange, do it over an Instant Messenger client and not on the site.

Can I get my Name Changed?

Yes, there is a Thread to request a Name Change, but it is subject to its own rules, to prevent the workload of name changes becoming too much for the Admin's. If you wish to request a Name Change, simply post here.

Will you fix something on the main site?

If you have a question regarding the news or radio sections of WZ, send an email to Chris Cash at [email protected]. You can also make suggestions for the site to the same address.

Why was my Thread Closed?

Your Thread would have been closed by one of the Forum Mods, they usually give a reason, but if they didn’t don’t post a Thread here bitching about it, either PM one of the Forum mods or an Admin and they will be able to tell you why, while your waiting for a reply try reading the rules, as you may well find the reason in there.

What’s with all the Ad's?

Sorry, but there is very little any of the regular staff can do about this. If it bothers you so much, then contact the site owner on the above E-Mail Address, otherwise I'm afraid you'll just have to put up with it, like the rest of us.

Can you add x Feature to the Board

We are currently in the process of adding new features to the forums. These new features will be available soon, however in the meantime if you have any suggestions for the forums, please send a private message to the user 'WZWill'.

Why cant I start a new Topic, or PM anyone?

You must get 10 Posts before being able to start a topic or use the PM System.

Can we get some more Avatars?

For the time being no. We do not have access to load new avatars onto the board at this time, repeatedly asking will not get you anywhere.

WZ Awards... They are cool!

No, they are not cool. They are pointless and they don't need to be implemented at all. So dont ask for this again, the answer will be no and you will be warned.

Why can't I start a thread?

1) You don't have 10 posts or 2) You just recently acquired 10 posts, and the forum hasn't given you the ability to start a thread yet. Just wait a little while, and you'll be able to start a thread shortly.

If I don't have 10 posts, can I hijack another thread to start the thread I want?

No. Not only is that being a complete ass, it is also against the rules, and will result in a Spam Infraction. Don't do it.

It's just reputation, and has nothing to do with what you are allowed to do on the forum. If you get a lot of red rep, that means people don't respect your opinion, if you get a lot of green, it means people don't hate you. And, at the present time, you may not disable rep.

What is those things underneath my custom user title?

These are the Rules of Wrestlezone Forums. We advise new members to always read the rules upon registering, as our rules differ from that of a lot of other Forums. Be advised that the Rules can be changed at any time, for any reason. Any major updates to the rules will be announced.


1. General Rules

A. Spamming: Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages. The rules on Spamming at Wrestlezone Forums are somewhat different than that of most other forums. We require that you give an opinion on a subject, but also to back up your opinion; simply stating that something is good or bad does not add to discussion. What we want to know is why you feel the way you do about a certain subject, to allow other posters to debate your opinion. We do not require an essay for every post, we simply require that you contribute to the topic. Spamming is allowed in the “Live Discussion & Spam Zone” Forum and the Bar Room, but not in any other Forums.

B. Flaming: This is described as an extreme insult towards another member with malicious words or threats and is prohibited at Wrestlezone Forums. Flaming another member will result in an Infraction. Extreme Flaming (for example, racist remarks) will result in an automatic ban.

C. Flame Baiting: Flame-baiting is known as attempting to draw a flame comment from another poster. While flame-baiting is discouraged at Wrestlezone Forums, it is no excuse for the flame remarks of any poster. Any poster who answers a flame-bait with a flame comment can expect to be given an Infraction.

D. Trolling: This is known as following a specific poster around, for the sole purpose of annoying them or insulting the topic they are commenting on. It can also apply to simply insulting a thread or post, rather than having an opinion on it. If you think a thread or post sucks, there is no need to comment on it. Move on, or make a contribution to the conversation in the topic. Trolling will result in an Infraction.

E. Closed, Deleted or Moved Topics: If one of your topics is closed, moved or deleted, do not post it again or post a thread complaining about it. If you are unsure as to why your topic has been closed, deleted or moved, feel free to PM one of the Forum Moderators from which the topic was removed, or one of the other Staff members and they will be happy to give you an answer.

F. Duplicate Topics: Posting Duplicate Topics will result in an Infraction. The best thing you can do before starting a thread is to search the forum are you starting the thread in before starting it. If a topic has not been posted in for more than a month then you may start the topic again. However if it is under a month you must post in the existing topic. In the event of a major news story breaking and more than one topic cropping up within a few minutes of each other, all the topics will be merged and no Infractions will be given.

G. Signatures: You're allowed one image in your signature and a few lines of text. You are not permitted any moving signatures or video signatures. If your signature exceeds this, we will edit it for you. If you restore your signature to its original condition (or an equivalent), you will receive an Infraction. Signature images can be no larger than a grand total of 800 pixels. Signature Images can be as wide or as tall as 500 pixels, but they must in total only add up to 800 pixels. For example, if you have a Banner that is 500 pixels wide, then it can be no longer than 300 pixels. Anything over 500 pixels wide will result in removal or a request to remove it, and will be subject to a Signature Infraction.

H. Advertising: Since some people have decided to abuse the Advertising system here at Wrestlezone Forums, from now on ALL Advertising is banned. This means Signature Advertising is no longer allowed. Any discussions forums, or wrestling site links (unless linking to sources of news stories) are not allowed on this Forum. Putting Advertising in your Signature will first result in a Warning and the Advertisement being removed. If it is put back, you will be automatically banned. This new rule also includes banners with web addresses in them, or anything else that could be interpreted as Advertising. Blatantly breaking this rule will result in a permanent Ban.

I. Pretending to be Moderator or Administrator: There are plenty of members of staff here, so claiming you are a member of staff when you are not will be result in an Infraction.

J. Posting Spoilers: Do not post spoilers. A “spoiler” is any information that will happen in the future that is not already common knowledge. For example, revealing the results of a taped episode of WWE Smackdown before the show airs would be considered a “spoiler”. Posting spoilers outside of the designated areas will automatically result in a temporary ONE WEEK BAN. Your first instance will be only the one week ban, but for every instance after, you will receive a week ban and an Infraction.


2. The Warning System

Most rule breakings will come with one Infraction, but there are times when people will be banned on the spot (See Auto Ban Offences). In total, a user gets 5 Infractions before they are permanently banned. The first two Infractions are just warnings, after that punishments come with extra Infractions. On your Third Infraction you will be temporarily banned from the site for SEVEN DAYS, on your Fourth Infraction you will be temporarily Banned for FOURTEEN DAYS. Registering a new account during any of these temporary Banned periods will result in you being permanently banned from the Forums. Once you have been given a fifth Infraction, you are gone for good. You will be PERMANENTLY BANNED! No one will be allowed back onto the Forums after a permanent ban. If you are caught, you will be banned again, and an IP Ban will be handed out with every permanent Ban from now on.

If you continue to pester the Wrestlezone Forums and re-register, you will be in breach of your ISP’s (Internet Service Provider) Terms of Service for abuse of the Internet, at which time you will be reported to them for your actions. If you wish to know why you have been given an Infraction (although each warning comes with a PM to explain it), DO NOT start a thread in the Feedback Forum. Send a Private Message to the Mod or Admin that gave you the Infraction, and they will explain. Starting hate threads or complaining on the Forums about Infractions, will only result in more Infractions.

To recap:
1st Infraction: Warning
2nd Infraction: Warning
3rd Infraction: One week ban
4th Infraction: Two week ban
5th Infraction: Permanent ban


3. Automatic Ban Offenses

A. Posting Porn: Posting any kind of pornography, including simple nudity, on our Forums will result in you being banned automatically. Requesting pornography will also be considered a bannable offense.

B. Flooding: Deliberately flooding the Forums with Spam, offensive images or anything else detrimental to the Forums, will result in an automatic Ban.

C. Legitimate Hate Threads: The word “legitimate” is thrown in there simply because there are many joke hate threads in the Bar Room, starting a hate thread against someone will result in a banning, the legitimacy of the hate thread will be at the Staff discretion.

E. Prejudiced Remarks: Racial, Sexual or any other kind of prejudicial remarks in ANY forum will result in an automatic ban.

F. Multiple Accounts: If you are banned from the forum permanently, you will not be given a second chance. You have five original chances, If you have broken the rules five times in two months, we do not want you here. Registering again will result in a Ban.

However, if you have never been banned, and if you have another account that has not been active for over three months and is not banned, you will be allowed to register another one with no penalty.


4. Miscellaneous

A. Acting Like an Idiot: If the Staff feel you are not contributing to the forums and are simply a nuisance poster they have every right to ban you. These are privately owned forums and it is our judgment as to who can and cannot post here, not yours. Freedom of speech does not apply here at Wrestlezone Forums.

B. You cannot start new topics until you have reached 10 Posts: This is to tackle the issue of bots and people not looking around and starting random new threads. You also will not be able to use the PM System until you have reached that post count.

C. Stirring up Drama: Don’t do it. If there is some aspect about the Wrestlezone Forums that you do not like, rationally make your case and discuss it in a mature fashion. Do not be immature and cause a massive fuss, as it will only work against you and may result in an Infraction.

D. Pissing off Staff: We won’t put up with it. If you are being persistently and intentionally being annoying to a Staff member, the Staff member has every right to ban you. Do not be afraid to discuss and debate Staff members; just do not “Troll” a Staff member.

E. The Bar Room: It is a forum where almost anything goes. It is up to the staff’s discretion as to what is and is not acceptable. The general rule is “don’t cross the line”. Anything in the Automatic Ban section will not be allowed in there. Flaming is allowed to an extent, Spamming is fine. Anything else is up to the Moderators of that Forum and the rest of the Staff. Remember, the Bar Room is moderated at the Staff’s discretion, so before you post your comment, think to yourself whether any Staff member would have a problem with it. If you are unsure as to the answer to your own question, it probably is best not to post.

F. VB Code and Smilies: There is a list of the VB Codes and Smiles at the bottom of the page (on the left hand side) that will explain how to use the VB Code that we have here. Please do not start threads asking how to use these features without reading this first.

G. Questions and Suggestions: Before asking a question, please read the Feedback FAQ which can be found here. If the question has already been asked asking it again will result in you being given an Infraction. Any questions you have regarding the Forums must be asked in the Feedback Forum at the top of the Forums.
