Strikeforce founder and primary owner Scott Coker has agreed in principle to set up a fight under MMA rules between Nick Diaz and Roy Jones Jr.
No timeframe has been set for the fight as of yet, however this potential blockbuster has been agreed to be set for a future Strikeforce PPV.

I was really worried about Nick getting in a boxing match with Roy Jones Jr. because he issued a challenge to him after his fight agaisnt Frank Shamrock, and even as big of a fan as I am of Diaz, even I have to admit that there would be zero chance of him standing the slightest bit of chance of defeating Roy Jones Jr. in a boxing contest. But in an MMA Bout?
The only thing that worries me is if Nick will stand-up and trade with him for too long. Nick will be able to take a couple of Jones' shots, for sure, but not for long. I will always stand of the opinion that Nick Diaz has one of the best chins in all of MMA, but I don't think he could with-take too many shots from Jones Jr. wearing nothing but those small gloves without getting KTFO. So hopefully Nick will swallow his pride and fight a smart fight, otherwise he'll end up being a huge highlight reel for years to come.
