Roxxi Gone Again

Welcome to My (And Not Sly's) House
So according to the main page, Roxxi is gone from the company. However the more intriguing ting here to me is how she was told what happened. Apparently she was told yesterday that it would be her last night with the company since Angelina Love and Daffney are back to health.

I get that TNA is a business and is about making a profit, but this is yet another example of TNA doing something bad where they could have done something at least passable. They could have let her know with a phone call a week ago so she could at least start looking for something else. Would it really have been that hard? Again, I understand it from a business perspective but from a personnel perspective, it just comes off as bush league.

So go ahead: bash me for saying I don't get it and it's a business. Do I have anything at all here?

It's a very strange move. I like Roxi, kind of like Serena in WWE she's different to any other girl around wrestling and, sadly, that seems to work against her. I can only assumer she's not that popular with anyone with any stroke in TNA because, if she was, I couldn't imagine them pulling this kind of shit. On a side note, for Roxi personally, I'd love her to end up in WWE, she can work to an acceptable level for a girl and would fit in quite well (look wise at least) with the SES.

I think this is another example of TNA management displaying their massie egos that will eventually be the downfall of TNA, much in the way it was at WCW.

Common courtesy for other people clearly is a foreign concept for people like Hogan and Bischoff. Remember, it was Bischoff that fired Steve Austin from WCW with a phone call.

Back in the day, people went to WCW because of the money they could make, but they did so knowing how bad a company they were to work for. TNA don't have the lure of money, so how do they expect to continue to attract wrestlers if they know they are going to get continually mis-used and mistreated?

Who cares? Roxxi has the personality of a dialtone, man. What's so marketable about her that they couldn't develop in any number of independent works with an equal utter lack of a persona?

At least when she was the Voodoo Queen she had something going for her, but Roxxi as Roxxi is as entertaining as watching paint dry. The Voodoo Drop was the only thing I watched her matches for, because she bought little else, IMO.

Does it suck that they cut her the way they did? Absolutely – for Roxxi, at least, but I wouldn't say it was entirely unwarranted either.

IDR!: TNA should just hire about 2-3 more Lacy Von's and call it a day then. Would that make all of you happy? Roxxi can wrestle, looks pretty good (imo) and had a pretty nice fan population as far as the chants and cheers went in the Impact Zone.

Roxxi had a decent angle with the "Voodoo" angle.. kind of a female version of The Boogieman. TNA just never gave her a shot to do anything with ANY story she was a part of.

Alll of the promo work she had done recently were almost Kayfabe levels. They probably didn't give her a single idea of where to go when she went on camera. I know adlibbing is one of the main principles of a good promo (live or otherwise) but without any assistance, it's nearly impossible to get the job done.

They let her back in twice now. As an independent contracted wrestler, I guess it was in all due time that TNA would release her. They're missing out on a great Tag Team with Daffney or someone of the like. A "Hardcore KO" team would have done wonders for the division... or lack thereof.

Absolutely not, because Lacey can't wrestle, but at least she has a personality you can attribute to something that's breathing. Roxxi is as vanilla as vanilla gets, man. I get it – she's a fan favorite and all that, but so is/was Kaz, and he's just as unmarketable right now because of that utter lack of a voice worth selling.

I thought all those promos she cut since coming back were awful. They seemed scripted and incredibly forced, and even in the case they were, she did a piss poor job of actually making it seem otherwise. Acting is reacting, and she reacts poorly – like a deer in the headlights.

Not that I'm the leader of the Roxxi fan club or anything, but this move was a really shitty show of how little tact the people running that business have. Roxxi is a good wrestler. Much better than any of the KO title holders IMO. But the fact that this girl made a return months ago only to be injured that same night, then come back after her injury, and be let go a month later because other KO's are back from their injuries is about as low as it gets. We all now have the impression that TNA isn't the most job secure place to work for.

Not a big TNA or Roxxi fan, but it's gotta be rough for her. Roxxi has been with the company atleast 3 years now and was pretty loyal at that. She even got her hair shaved. Now she's out of the job again, and left in a very ugly fashion that I really think beats out a lot of the WWE's "departures".

An interesting note about TNA's booking since it is on topic. Tara was practically given the title the first month or two she was there and has held the title 3 times. Roxxi hasn't even got to hold it once. Sure there probably isn't much marketing potential in Roxxi, but then again is there really with almost any female wrestler? Atleast the crowd was behind her.

I don't know what it is..i think TNA needed a filler so they brought her back so Madison can (retire) another KO....

I only remember her from when she was bald...and when she returned..I was never really a fan off her..but she'll probably come back later this year..who knows? its TNA afterall..

I'm not the biggest Roxxi fan either but if this is true than that is a crappy way to fire someone.

Why did TNA bother bringing her back just to fire her again?

Why did TNA bother brining her back just to fire her again?

I'm not saying it was the best way to go about doing it by any means, but that hole had to be filled somehow, so why bring her back just to fire her again? Simply put, because she helped fill a void she was no longer necessary to fill anymore.

Let's not kid ourselves into thinking Roxxi can out-sell Angelina Love or Daffney who are both returning from injury.

Maybe she isn't a lot more than an under card wrestler, but she has been the epitome of a "team player". The only way bringing her back for a few months wasn't shitty is IF they let her now ahead of time that she was a "temp".
Daffney is a bigger draw. So is Angelina. But somebody has to "do the job", right? I guess the creative team has no problem with 5 people wrestling each other over and over again. Hey, Russo did come from wwf, after all.

They clearly only brought Roxxi back because they had no other credible knockout, Tara was gone, angelina and daffney were injured, Hamada dissappeared, and sarita and taylor were buried. They needed a popular credible knockout that could be a believable threat to madison and Roxxi fit that bill perfectly. now that Angelina and Daffney are cleared to wrestle, they didn't need her anymore

I love roxxi, I'm a huge fan of her, she's been in TNA for 3 years and has gotten shit in return. She's shaved her head, put over other knockouts, and busted her head open on numerous occasions, what does she get??? oh right, a pink slip everytime she returns. Tara walks into TNA from WWE and automatically gets 3 KO title reigns, wheres the justice in that

I think we'll see Roxxi again in the future, she always comes back eventually. As far as TNA, at this rate, the knockouts division will be dead soon

I've always been a fan of Roxxi, and I loved the "hardcore knockout" gimmick she had going a couple of years ago. Yeah this was a business move by TNA, but with the knockouts division in a dreadful state, couldn't TNA have used her? Would've hurt to have her stick around a little longer? I know Angelina and Daffney are set to return soon, but Roxxi could a force in the Knockouts division, and she could be used in a lot of key feuds.

I'm kind of surprised by this because it seemed like Roxxi was on the track to a hard push once she returned. Maybe this won't affect TNA in the long run. We will just have to wait and see how things will develop.

I just don't understand how they book the knockouts...

I mean, Tara was pushed harder than ever on the weeks leading up to her release and then she was gone... Now Roxi gets a win over Madison and gets a title shot at the PPV only to be released and in a shitty way...

I understand that to get someone over, you must get their opponent over first but come on... I just don't see the point in investing TV time and actually putting them over just to release them...

I doubt Roxi will ever be in WWE and who knows, we may see her back in TNA one day... Hopefully she does go back to the VooDoo Queen...

Sucks to see Roxxi go again so fast. I feel like tna never really gave her a chance. I mean sure she got title shot's and a feud with Gail Kim, ODB Awsome Kong and The Beatuful people but she never got a chance to become champion.

I mean she didn't really need to be a long term champion but she should of won it once. It was sorta unprofessional how they fired her and kinda disrespectful to her of fireing her on that day.

Also Odb is fired as well the Knockdouts divsion is dieing slowly.

I may be way off on this, because I do not know the power structure in the back of TNA, but it really doesn't surprise me. I think it is messed up that a team player like Roxxi got treated like this. But with Bischoff involved, why should we be surprised. This is the guy who fired Steve Austin in a hospital bed by FedEX. He has always been known to release people in the most messed up of ways. I don't know if he had anything to do with it, but with him being in Hogans ear, it really sounds like something he would do.

TNA looks so unprofessional with the way they released Roxxi. I mean, people think the WWE is bad and Vince is the devil, but whoever made the decision to release Roxxi and she would be released in a loser leave TNA match, its so unprofessional. And the worst part is that she was released because Daffeny and Angelina Love were back from injuries, I not surprised TNA is losing to WWE.

In the words of Triple H, "first she was in, then out, in, out..."

It seems like the story of Roxxi's life recently in TNA. It seems as if she is number one on Dixie's "call-back" list for the Knockouts but is number one on the cutting list when she's employed. If she keeps getting brought back, then she definitely has something to offer TNA. She's an alright wrestler, over with the crowd and has name value. All she needs is a repackage and TNA can utilise her in the division. With her skills, TNA can even use her as a beat-stick to get other girls over.

I hope TNA makes up their mind with her.
