Angle and Benoit could probably go solo and beat both of their opponents. This is really unfair. Miz and Morrison are good, and fun to watch, but they're simply not in the same universe as their opponents. With the extreme rules, Benoit & Angle could apply their finishers, and hold them until they start ripping off body parts, because there's nowhere to go in ECW.

Yeah, Miz & Morrison don't stand a chance in hell here. There really isn't a single aspect of wrestling that either of them are superior to the Benoit-Angle team in, not individually, and not collectively. Anything they could throw at Benoit & Angle, they'd get in return twofold.

Easy vote here, Benoit & Angle. Two of the best wrestlers of the last few decades versus two kids with a combined wrestling experience of about a decade.

Mizorrison is toasted almonds here. Angle and Benoit, alone are two of the greatest. Putting them together makes them stronger. The young, brash Dirt Sheet host don't stand a chance against two of the best technicians ever. Though being technicians isn't that useful in ECW, but we know Bengle can go extreme and take this one rather easily.

In a kayfabe match, there's no doubt Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle would win it, but I'm still voting for Miz & Morrison.

The fact is this is a Tag Team Tournament. Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle, much like Hogan and Savage, only teamed with each other to start a feud. All throughout their partnership, they whined at each other and didn't get along. Sure, as a team, they had one of the greatest tag team matches in history against Edge and Rey Mysterio, and granted, the match between Angle and Benoit that came out of this partnership is arguably the greatest WWE Title match of all time, but like I said... this is a Tag Team Tournament, and Miz & Morrison were the better tag team.

Seriously, as much as the Tag Division has sucked these past 7 years or so, every now and then we could get a bright spot in it, and for about a year and a half, Miz & Morrison were definitely that bright spot. They were just entertaining as all hell (shit, their internet skit was by far the most entertaining thing to come out of WWE for a while there), and had some tremendous matches when given the opportunity. They were just a great tag team, with loads of chemistry.

Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit just did not establish themselves as a tag team long enough for me to vote for them over a good, REAL tag team like Miz & Morrison.

If you don't believe Angle and Benoit work together as a team, watch No Mercy 2002 and you'll see why you're wrong. It's the technical kings here in not quite a destruction, but it's close enough to one. Miz and Morrison are great, but they're in WAY over their heads here. When Benoit is the second best wrestler on his team, you know they're great. Benoit and Angle have something miz and Morrison don't: the ability to end this at a moments notice. That's where they take this for me. There's no way I can see M/M beating either of these guys, but an ankle lock or crossface will end anyone. At least I could see something resembling an argument for Miz and Morrison, but I don't think it holds up enough.

This is just an unlucky draw for Miz and Morrison. They're a great tag team and all, but mostly for entertainment purposes. Now, if you look at the yin to their yang, you'll find Benoit and Angle. In one corner, you have two conceited, funny, entertaining wrestlers with some decent skills... in the other, you've got two wrestling machines that are standing in the corner, frowning and frothing at the mouth. This match reminds me of sicking rabid rottweilers against a couple of bulldogs. Sure, they're both tough in their own right... but the rottweillers are killers with one-track minds.

Time for another double-murder, but this time without the suicide. Vote for Benoit/Angle.

Here's how I see this match going. Miz and Morrison are in their corner yuking it up and joking around. Likely flirting with some of the fine young women in the audience, possibly even flashing them.

Meanwhile, in the other corner, Benoit and Angle are just staring like mad men, which they are. All they are thinking about is how much they are going to crush their opponents.

The next 5 to 10 minutes will be incredibly brutal. Morrison and Miz getting their body's twisted and thrown every which way possible. M/M may be flashy in the ring, but they are nothing compared to Team Double Murder, nothing at all.

Also, you could vote for M/M on account of they were one of the best teams in recent memory, but who did they have to compete with? Their best feud was against the Colons and that didn't even make it on the WM card. I enjoyed them as a team, but I also always thought they were slicly overrated.

Anyway, vote for the Pill Poppers (official team name?) here.

Can we call Benoit and Angle "The Wifebeaters" please? It seems appropriate. Ok, well I'm going to make this quick because I have to go and wake my girlfriend up, but basically Benoit and Angle would win here. When they were a team it was a main eventer and the most upper of upper midcarders in a very functional team. Miz and Morrison were great, but both of their title reigns were spent losing to teams in non title matches. The teams they lost to include Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore, which kind of says it all, to be honest. The one team they were dominated by, was the one team made of high profile wrestlers, DX, and to that end, I expect The Wifebeaters to win this one.

I have to go with M & M here. As a TEAM, which is what this tournament is about, they were great. Kayfabe-wise, if there were no lumberjacks at WM 25 to “interfere” they may have been the first Unified Tag Team Champions. They have won the World Tag Team Titles, WWE Tag Team Titles, 2008 Slammy Awards for Best Tag Team and the irrelevant Best WWE.com Exclusive. They were the Team of the future, but because they are in the WWE, nothing last forever. If the WWE had the Teams of yesterday today, Vince would probably split up Hawk and Animal, Ricky and Robert, Arn and Tully, Ax and Smash and Crush, and a whole bunch of others.

Kurt and Chris just couldn’t get along long enough. I agree with the Mega Powers example, as this is a Tag Team Tournament. If they couldn’t get along with their partners, how could they win a match here??

\If this was anywhere but the Dub, M/M would get literally killed by two of the greatest technicans of this generation. Out of the two, only Morrison could hang with any one of the two wrestlers who would not be able to take on both members of Angle/Benoit. He would eventually have to get Miz in the ring who would get dominated before he even has a chance to get out of the starting blocks.

But, this is the Dub where technicality can equate to jack shit. What good is the use of a suplex when you're opponents are wielding steel chairs? Miz & Morrison will have a fighting chance if they keep going extreme on Angle/Benoit throughout the entire match. Since both Angle/Benoit are great ring psychologists with Benoit having Dub experience, they are smart enough to keep their differences aside & find a way around the offense Miz/Morrison seem to offer.

Really, Angle/Benoit will manhandle Miz/Morrison here undoubtedly.

    1. Even though Benoit and Angle put on a great tag team match against Edge and Rey, they were bickering throughout their whole time as a team so I don't know if they will be in sync when the time is right.

    2. Benoit has lost to the Miz before and also has lost to MVP. Who did Miz and Morrison beat to win their first tag titles? Matt Hardy and MVP.

So I'm going with the more experienced tag team in Miz and Morrison to pick up the victory. Benoit and Angle are going to get knocked out and they can focus on the other.

I agree completely. As a team Benoit and Angle had 6 matches, and in those 6 matches they went 3-3.

Their 3 wins came over John Cena (before he even had his gangster gimmick) and Billy Kidman, Los Guerreros, and Edge and Mysterio.

Their 3 losses came against Edge and Mysterio and Los Guerreros in a triple threat tag, Edge and Mysterio in a regular tag, and Los Guerreros in a regular tag.

I would take Miz and Morrison over all of those teams that Angle and Benoit beat. Benoit and Angle would be fighting the whole time and Miz and Morrison would take advantage to get the victory.

Oh did I forget to vote?

    Nope.

I went below spamming B'n'A (Not the act that created Canada, for that, read about the British North American Act of 1867).

I am talking about Benoit and Angle.

A team that only had one fault (that was not related to steroid abuse). They hated eachother. Luckily, in TM's head, they don't and thus, they would become the greatest technical tag team ever, beating a team that really only came to power in the worst error of tag teams. Miz and Morrison did good, but not that good.

I feel bad for the team of Morrison and Miz - I expected them to do quite well here but there's no way I can put them over a team like Benoit and Angle. The 2 are great wrestlers, and while it can be argued as a team Morrison and Miz worked better, there can be little argument on the team with the most talent. I really didn't expect Morrison/Miz to be out so soon but that's the way this has worked out.

Why should they be out? If Los Guerreros can beat Benoit and Angle then I'm sure Miz and Morrison could. Benoit and Angle were at each others throats the entire time they were a tag team. Yes they were able to win a few matches, but they lost just as many matches as they won. I see them dominating most of the match, then they start to fight a little, and Miz and Morrison take advantage.

It's another case of factoring in singles records v/s tag team records. Nether Angle nor Benoit were ever really good at Tag Team action. Wheras, Miz and Morrison were awesome as a tag team and seen great success against some solid tag teams. Even beating DX's Mega Powers of Shawn Michaels and HHH. Sure their record's not as good, but I factor in chemistry, and Angle and Benoit didn't have any of it. They did not like each other and would fight each other at the drop of the hat. Or go on a killing spree (in Angle's case, a pain killing spree).

Miz and Morrison got my vote, but it's a moot point. As usual.
