You know, I think the WWE has realized that it's fan have been wanting the Intercontinental Championship to have some credibility again, and it's finally going to happen. There's only one major downfall: It's going to be at the expense of the United States Title. Don't believe me? Just wait and see.
Anyway, I didn't predict this move even though I knew it was going to happen. I just didn't want it to happen. To me, Rey Mysterio felt really fresh on Raw. But even though he wasn't squashed over there, what did he accomplish exactly? A few wins over Kane and a win over JBL at Wrestlemania 25. However with all the shit wrestling that occurred on Raw over the past 12 months, the only light that I could see was the hour one main event, which usually featured Rey Mysterio. The guy is amazing, seriously. He even got me interested in his matches with Kane. Now that Raw lost Mysterio, I think it will hurt the overall match quality of the weekly program.
Yes, we all know Smackdown needed it's Hispanic audience back and all that stuff, but Smackdown is stuck with all these main eventers who weren't main eventers on Raw. I'm looking at you Mr Punk and Mr Mysterio. Smackdown is going to be awesome though. Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison and CM Punk are all on the same brand!
I think I have a boner.
