Rey Mysterio to SmackDown!

Uncle Sam

Rear Naked Bloke
The original thread was split into two. I'm not quite sure where the two halves are, so here we are now.

Mysterio's been drafted to SmackDown!. You know what that means. That's right, no spamming. It also means that the draft balanced out. Am I the only one thinking this isn't coincidence?

Pointless, again. He was on Raw for less than a year, half of which he spent injured.

Although I want to see him against Jericho, so it all works out in the end. Like a Disney film.

Rey Mysterio never seemed to fit on RAW....This is probably a move to get more Hispanic viewers but I'm interested to see who he will feud with...I would love to see a Jericho/Mysterio feud and who will beat Mysterio for the I.C. Title.

WWE ''claims'' that the draft in random, but... uh huh. In 2005, they switched WWE Champion John Cena with World Heavyweight Champion Batista. Random? Nope. Last year, you had ECW Champion Kane switched to Raw and WWE Champion Triple H switched to SD! Random? No. Same with this year... you had Women's Champion Melina switched to Smackdown and Diva's Champion Maryse switched to Raw and United States Champion M.V.P. switched to Raw and Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio to SD! If it was really random, most of this would not happen.

Back on topic, Rey Mysterio had no purpose on Raw and NEEDED to go back to Smackdown. I'm anxious to see what he will do and I really think Rey will actually have FEUDS over his title. I really hope the Intercontinental Championship will serve its purpose on Smackdown... something it didn't do on Raw.

Well we all knew this was coming. This move isnt pointless, his move to RAW last years was the one that was pointless.

this, on the other hand is a great move, for Rey, the hispanic demographic that WWE wants for SD, and the IC title. The mid card title has much more of a chance to shine on this show than it does over on RAW, as the entire roster is made up of mid card to lower mid card guys almost. Fine move.

Before I get to my views on the pick, let me express my anger over the possibility of this feud. I doubt anyone reading this has read my Book This, but my title holder is Jericho, and he won it from Mysterio. I have a feud planned. If they do this on TV at the same time, it's going to kill me.

But, I like Mysterio back on Friday nights. He'll go back to where the kiddies love him, and since he's holding a title that desperately needs a fanbase, this is a dually smart move. There are some great feuds waiting for him, and it'll be nice to see him fighting someone that isn't 3 times his size.

You know, I think the WWE has realized that it's fan have been wanting the Intercontinental Championship to have some credibility again, and it's finally going to happen. There's only one major downfall: It's going to be at the expense of the United States Title. Don't believe me? Just wait and see.

Anyway, I didn't predict this move even though I knew it was going to happen. I just didn't want it to happen. To me, Rey Mysterio felt really fresh on Raw. But even though he wasn't squashed over there, what did he accomplish exactly? A few wins over Kane and a win over JBL at Wrestlemania 25. However with all the shit wrestling that occurred on Raw over the past 12 months, the only light that I could see was the hour one main event, which usually featured Rey Mysterio. The guy is amazing, seriously. He even got me interested in his matches with Kane. Now that Raw lost Mysterio, I think it will hurt the overall match quality of the weekly program.

Yes, we all know Smackdown needed it's Hispanic audience back and all that stuff, but Smackdown is stuck with all these main eventers who weren't main eventers on Raw. I'm looking at you Mr Punk and Mr Mysterio. Smackdown is going to be awesome though. Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison and CM Punk are all on the same brand!

I think I have a boner.
