Rewriting Wrestlemania Matches if you could?

Ok during the time of WCW vs WWE their was so meny matches which could of happened but did'nt. After the company closed people were expecting or wishing for dream matches but even now with the guys of today and the guys from the past what matches do you think would of been the Biggest draw ever at a Wrestlemania so what im asking if you could remake another match or change 2 opponents in match to Headline Wrestlemania's from Wrestlemania 17 to 27 what would you make? Would you Change any or leave the same? and a quick sentence way you want that match..

WM 17:
I would of kept this the same because it was'nt long after WCW closed so their was'nt enough time to build something up

WM 18:
this PPV already had a Headline match Rock/Hogan

WM 19:
Cant change anything really on this card because to me this was the best wrestlemania ive ever seen overall because 6/9 matches were great but i would of made Undertaker vs Scott Steiner because the promo's would of been great and build up and I reckon Taker could of turned it into a good match and could of kept Steiner in the main event scene as a Heel

WM 20:
The Rock vs Shawn Michaels everyone who has been a fan from the 90's will understand the bad blood they had with eachother behind the scene's and Undertaker vs Goldberg instead of that shit match between Lesner/Goldberg and then you could of made Brock Lesner vs Kurt Angle vs Eddie Guererro which I would of loved to seen plus would of been a better send off for Brock


WM 21:
another PPV I really enjoyed so I wouldnt add or change anythink plus didnt Hogan challenge Austin at this Mania

WM 22:
for me If Hogan and Austin could of agreed money and a good finish I would of had Hulk Hogan vs Stone Cold because its a dream match of dream matches plus it was in the works through out the year before both parties withdrew due to Ego clashes and Undertaker vs Kurt Angle because they had a epic match at NWO 2006 and a rematch for the streak would of been epic and stole the show, Angle could of Dropped the title to orton on Smackdown or something and still have Rey Mysterio win the belt like they did

WM 23:
Kept the same because the people i would change are in good matches

WM 24:
Good PPV over all. maybe something more to do with Batista

WM 25:
Hulk Hogan vs John Cena I know it wouldnt be the best match but 2 of the biggest box office draw in a match epic a true WM Moment, Maybe Edge vs Christan vs Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy I know Matt Hardy is wank but with all the story Matt/Jeff were going through add christan and add TLC to it Epic,

WM 26:
Nothing I really enjoyed the PPV

WM 27:
Undertaker vs Sting should I say anymore

WM 8 - It should have been Hogan vs Flair. I think the Macho / Flair match was one of the best in WM history, but i still feel Hogan and Flair should have gone down at WM.

WM 9- Keep Hogan completely out of the Main Event Or make Hogan put over Hitman if he did come out, and not bury him. How it went down was just a travesty.

WM 10- I would have preferred Luger vs Hart in the Main Event. They put alot of effort into Luger and should have had a small pay off at that point.

WM 13- It should have been Hitman vs HBK. HBK should have never faked the lost smile and returned the favor to Bret. Despite believing Hitman vs Austin was THE best WM match EVER.

WM 23- HBK should have gone over Super Cena. I dont even watch this DVD... horrible event.

A few honorable mentions are: Jericho not going over HBK, and Booker not going over Booker. I dont think either shawn or hunter winning did a single thing to help the company.

Wrestlemania 3: Jake roberts should have went over Honky tonk, It made no sense why he lost there.

Wrestlemania 8: Macho vs Flair should have been the main event, It had the build up, and the match itself was MUCH better than what Hogan could have done with Flair.

Wrestlemania 9: Bret should have went over on Yoko, and Hogan should have NEVER been involved at the end of the PPV. It was a waste of a good rub for Bret.

Wrestlemania 10: Bret vs Owen should have been the main event for the title. They have the history, and could have easily main evented this ppv.

Wrestlemania 11: Bret should have faced Shawn here, it happened a year later, but this should of been. Taker vs Diesel should have happened here.

Wrestlemania 12: Everything was pretty much on point as it could have been here. Bret should could have feuded to the point of the WM11 rewrite, that they could have culminated here in the Ironman match.

Wrestlemania 13: Between 12 and 13, Taker should win title, and feud with Mankind, so they can have a match at mania, that way they could have a mania match, when oddly enough, they never did.

Wrestlemania 15: The Bossman match was weak, against Taker, and I think the HIAC match would have been better served against Kane. Triple H/X-pac vs Test/Shane should have went down, Trips could have still turned on X-pac.

Wrestlemania 16: Kane vs Big show should of happened. The Rock vs Chris Jericho, Benoit vs Angle. It keeps Micks retirement match as being legit for a while, and Jericho would have been pushed against the Rock, like he was supposed to.

Wrestlemania 17: Wouldn't change anything, except added Test to the hardcore three way making it a 4 way, and have Eddie vs Benoit vs Angle.

Wrestlemania 18: Nothing changed, but I would of had Angle vs Austin instead of Hall.

Wrestlemania 19: BIGGEST change, Booker T should have beaten Triple H, my most wanted change in WM history so far. Taker vs Big show should have been a one on one.

Wrestlemania 20: I would have rather had Lance storm vs RVD, since they are both Ex-ecw wrestlers, you know they can put on a show. Kane vs Taker should have been a HIAC match

Wrestlemania 21: Great show, wouldnt change anything

Wrestlemania 22: Taker should have faced JBL, and Benoit should have went against Booker T for the US title, taking out boogyman and Henry from the PPV. Angle and Orton should have been a one on one. Rey should of just been in MITB.

Wrestlemania 23: I would of gave the MITB to Orton, I never saw the big deal in Kennedy. Burke should of faced Cm Punk, as they can put on great one on ones. Replace Punk with Kane, taking out the Khali match.

Wrestlemania 24: Batista vs Kane would have been a good match, and should have happened, No ecw title match at all. I would have given th MITB to Morrison

Wrestlemania 25: Cena/Edge should have been one on one, Perhaps even a gimmick match, like last man standing to spice it up. Orton should have beaten Triple H, it made little to no sense for him to lose.

Wrestlemania 26: Morrison VS Miz should have happened, perhaps for the IC title AND US titles, since it wasnt up that year. Bret vs Vince should have been alot shorter, and not had any one else involved.

Wrestlemania 27: NO Snooki, just a match between Morrison/Ziggler, for the IC title perhaps. Barret vs Kane should of happened, Michelle Mcool vs Trish, if she HAD to be in the ppv. The Rock as referee of Miz vs Cena. Edge Vs Christian vs Del rio, with Christian winning,as its just as good to leave putting over your best friend, as leaving with the title. Kofi vs Justin Gabriel, Sheamus vs Danielson, Mysterio vs Sin cara, in a debut match similar to Reys at WM 19 vs Matt hardy.

Some card changes

WM19
- I would have just kept it to Big Show vs. Undertaker. I didn't see the point why A-Train was put here. Big Show and Undertaker had a pretty good story and could have had a nice 8 min match.

- I would have taken out the Cat Fight Girls and just added RVD and Kane vs. Moorley and Lance Storm.

WM2000
- The whole freaking card!!!! I already expressed Rock vs. Triple H, Tazz vs. Kurt Angle, and Benoit vs. Jericho.

I would also have booked an X-Pac vs. Kane in a Last Man Standing Match, I would have booked it with X-Pac, Tori, and Road Dogg coming in. Then Kane comes in they brawl Kane chokeslams Road Dogg ... he's out, Kane scares Tori away she runs. X-Pac gets some offense for 30 seconds, then Kane Tombstones X-Pac, X-Pac gets up so Kane Tombstone him again. There match over in 3 mins but Kane dominated.

WMXV

- Shamrock vs. Undertaker in a corporate vs. ministry bout
- Keep the Hardcore and IC Title matches the way they were.

WM13

- Vader vs. Undertaker for the WWF Championship. Vader wins Final Four and defends it againts Undertaker. This creates a rematch from Royal Rumble and Undertaker can still take on a monster.
- Mankind vs. Rocky Maivia for the IC Title. Eh why not? The rookie against the "deranged" one. Rocky wins via DQ, Johnson makes the save.

WMX8
- The card was actually good. I think the problem is more in how the feuds were built up. Like Jericho vs. Triple H could have been built up more w/o Stephanie.
- I would also have Curt Henning vs. Kurt Angle

WM22
- Chris Benoit vs. The Undertaker - No story but this would have been a great match up
- Maybe cut 5 of HBK vs. Vince McMahon off.

WM25
- Jeff Hardy w/ Christian vs. Edge w/ Matt Hardy for the WWE Title or Make it a Fatal Four Way. Which ever!!!
- Orton vs. Cena for the World Title w/ Austin as the guest referee
- Chris Jericho vs. Triple H w/ Ric Flair

WrestleMania III Andre The Giant beating Hulk Hogan for The WWF Heavyweight Belt to me Andre should have been a champion

WrestleMania IV Million Dollar Man Beats Randy Macho Man Savage, Dibiase in my mind was the greatest heel in WWF in the 80's early early 90's and I still don't get why they never gave him a title run.

WrestleMania 23 Shawn Michaels beats John Cena for the WWE title I for one could not and still can not stand the fact that every time Cena has the title he is unbeatable and that pisses me off.

WrestleMania VI Hogan beats Warrior for the IC Title it would not have killed the WWF to put the IC title on Hogan.

WrestleMania 2 King Kong Bundy beats Hulk Hogan For The WWF title.

WM-Hogan vs. Sheik (C)-Why not give Hogan the title a few months later at WM? Main even to first Wrestlemania was weak...



WMII-Hogan (C) vs. Piper-Piper would of been a much better contender for the title than Bundy and it would have saved us from his awful Mr. T boxing match

WMIV-Hogan (C) vs. Andre rematch (for real)-instead of a double dq, I would have had a real rematch where Andre beats Hogan for the title before losing it to Savage setting up...



WMV-Savage (C) vs. Hogan-No change, Hogan wins



WMVI-Hogan (C) vs. Ultimate Warrior-knowing how awful Warrior turns out, Hogan retains



WMVII-Unchanged



WMVIII-Flair (C) vs. Hogan-The biggest match of all time up to this point. Hogan wins.



WM IX- Undertaker (C) vs. Hogan-Anything is better than the crap main event here. Hogan wins his final Mania title.



WMX-Yokozuna (C) vs. Bret Hart vs. Lex Lugar-The way it should of been. Bret wins



WMXI-Diesel (C) vs. Bret Hart-Not a big Hart fan, but I don't get this Mania, it is very weird so Hart wins here.



WMXII-Unchanged



WMXIII-Michaels (C) vs. Hart rematch-Hart wins-Almost kept Hart/Austin but couldn't force myself to do it.



WMXIV-Unchanged



WMXV-Unchanged



WM2000-Triple H (C) vs. Mick Foley-I always felt Foley should have beaten HHH here and retired the next night. Make Backlash for the vacated title. Didn't seem right him losing 3 PPVs in a row in the manner it went down. Had to be better than the ending that came out



WMX7-The Rock (C) vs. Austin vs. HHH-Now we get to the good stuff. This ppv was always ruined for my by how it ended. Have Austin win the title by pinning HHH and have him turn heel at Invasion. Also, have The Rock be attacked by Goldberg after the finish, explaining his 6 month absence.



WMX8-Angle (C) vs. Jericho (C) vs. HHH-Never made sense that the titles were unified at Vengeance. Save it for Mania and have WWE vs. WCW vs. Royal Rumble. Anyways HHH wins.

Austin def. Hogan and Goldberg def. Rock-I would be much more interested in these matches here than Rock vs. Hogan and Austin vs. Hall.



WMXIX-Keep Angle/Lesnar the same. I'd of preferred Michaels (C) vs. HHH. Michaels won at Survivor Series and only held the title for like 3 weeks. Why not have him fact Jericho for a few months and then drop the title to HHH at mania? They had one of the biggest feuds ever from like 03-05.

Also, Goldberg def Austin and Hogan def Rock...a mix up on last year.



WMXX-Kane (C) vs. Undertaker-Kane was on a roll this year, why not him drop the title to a returning dead man at mania.

Raw main event-stay the same

Also, Hogan def. Lesnar in retirement match since Lesnar was leaving anyways



WMXXI-Would have kept SD! match same, made Raw match Orton (C) vs. HHH and made UT match UT vs. Batista. I know Orton as a face had cooled by this point and he needed surgery, but I never bought Batista's quick push before WMXXI, he need a little more time.



WMXXII-John Cena def Randy Orton-always wanted to see these three in a main event a few years earlier.

Rey Mysterio def Kurt Angle (C)-why was Orton here?

MAIN EVENT-DX defeats the McMahons for the tag championship-I know we are a few months early, but DX never had a mania tag match and this is it. Biggest tag match of all time headlining a big time mania.



WMXXIII-No real issues here...a lot of injuries this year.



WMXXIV-Again, no real issues except maybe having Cena leave with the title as a face.



WMXXV-John Cena def Edge (C) and Jeff Hardy FINALLY def. HHH (C)-two biggest faces in the company win at 25th mania...All else the same



WMXXVI-would of kept it the same.



WMXXVII-I wish wwe went with UT def Barrett and Sheamus def HHH like plans were, but they backed out and severely hurt the next generation of super stars again.

Knowing what we know now, I would of liked Christian def Edge (C) in face vs. face match and Cena def Rock a year early. For the WWE title, Morrison def Miz (C) and while we are at it Del Rio def Rey and doesn't beg for his car to be spared like a jobber. You can't tell me on a whole this is a weaker card than what we got a few weeks ago...

One of the things have really bothered me was putting a Diva's match AFTER a World Heavy weight Title or another match that should be later. TWICE I've seen the Undertaker go before a Diva's or mixed tag match. Once was the Batista/Undertaker match for the title. I can't remember what WM that was but it was one of the best matches ever and the Divas had no business following it. The same with this year's Taker match. Having Michelle McCool following her husbands match made me think he wasn't hurt that bad and was more of a show. I want to watch an awesome match followed by another, not have a bathroom break. Matches should build on each other.

This really isn't rewriting a WM match as it is rewriting an actual WM. Sorry but I thought this might be a good place to share my opinion on that idea.

WM 1 - Would hvae changed King Kong Bundy's match. Don't know enough about this time to change who he faced.

WM 2 - This was on a Monday, odd. Change it to one place and change it so its not on Monday.

WM 3 - Would of had Piper face someone else. Probably HTM or Savage.

WM 4 - Hogan/Andre II as a regular match instead of a tournament one. Also would had less tournament matches.

WM 5 - Gotten rid of the Rooster/Heenan match. Mr. Perfect vs Rude vs Warrior so that Perfect could of had a bigger match.

WM 6 - Matches were too short.

WM 7 - Make the Blinfold match into a regular match.

WM 8 - Savage/Flair match on last or make it into a triple threat match with Hogan/Flair/Savage so that way Hogan would face Flair and no harm would be done.

WM 9 - There is no way to save this one.

WM 10 - Perfect/Savage match and have Perfect turn heel before Mania. Have Lex Luger lose clean.

WM 11 - Hart/Razor match. And change the ending of Hart/Backlund from Backlund saying AGGUUGhGWOGGABA to I quit.

WM 12 - Have Bret actually sell the arm HBK was working on for most of the match. Way too many submissions without any effect. Have Bret/HBK actaully sell the submissions more, not tap out, but sell a little more. It should have been a 30 minute Iron Man match instead. The rest of the event sucked and they really didn't have many big stars at this time, which painfully showed here.

WM 13 - Make Hart/Austin 4 hours.

WM 14 - Have The Rock win unclean but with a pinfall not by DQ. This needed a major overhaul on the undercard.

WM 15 - Switch Road Dogg and Billy Gunn. Since Road Dogg was going for the Hardcore title for the weeks leading up to Mania and Gunn was going for the IC. Owen/Jarrett vs an actual team. Show Butterbean destroying Bart Gunn more. Have Kane/HHH make sense. Taker vs Shamrock or Big Show. Have Austin/Rock/Mankind as the Main event.

WM 16 - Have someone pucn Ice-t in the face for his annoying rap. Change Jericho/Angle/Benoit to Angle/Jericho (I can't watch Benoit's matches anymore, I know he was messed up and he had no control over his actions, but every time I see him, I just can't get murder out of my head). Have HHH/Foley as a retirement match. Have Rock vs Big Show as title match. Have Trish and Terri have sex... This one is hard to save.

WM 17 - Get Rid of Chyna/Ivory. Jericho vs Eddie vs Regal vs Angle.

I will do the rest later. Have to go to bed.

The divas match follows those matches to give the crowd a break. To let them cool down so that they can cheer again when the next big match comes on. This is actually a smart move.

WM 8 - Hogan vs. Flair for the WWF Title and since Savage & Sid faced Hogan & Flair, Savage vs. Sid.

WM 9 - I made a thread about changing this card in this forum, so to see my changes, go check that thread but obviously the main changes would be Hogan vs. Bret Hart for the WWF Title and Undertaker vs. Yokozuna.

WM 13 - Well I would choose Bret vs. Shawn since that was originally supposed to happen but since Shawn was injured, I would have had Austin vs. Bret in a Submission Match for the WWF Title where the winner would go onto face Undertaker later in the night and then in the main event, Undertaker vs. Bret for the WWF Title. Taker vs. Bret could've saved Mania 13's main event from being a disaster plus we'd see a rematch at Summerslam where it would be the opposite outcome and just like WM 10, the roles would be the same & reversed, Bret has two matches again but he's the one defending the WWF Title. Also Owen vs. Bulldog for the European Title and Sid vs. Mankind & Vader since Sid would have nothing to do.

WM 18 - Austin vs. Hogan. We still got Rock vs. Hogan but the true dream match was Austin vs. Hogan plus Hogan was in his NWO gimmick at the time, so it would two badasses against each other. DX (HBK & HHH) vs. NWO (Hall & Nash), since HBK was able to come back the same year, he could've come back early for this match and since Rock wouldn't have anything to do, I would have Rock vs. Jericho vs. Angle for the Undisputed Championship. Angle would win the Royal Rumble or HHH would win it but then lose the shot to Angle at No Way Out, Jericho would retain the title against Austin at Royal Rumble then lose the title to Rock at No Way Out so that Jericho could cash in his rematch for WM making it a Triple Threat or it would be a DQ win for Rock at No Way Out or something like that, so that Rock would still get another chance for the title at WM.

WM 20 - Rock vs. Shawn Michaels, Undertaker vs. Goldberg and well I want Triple H vs. Lesnar because that was originally supposed to happen at WM 21 but since Lesnar was leaving, I would've done a repeat of WM 10, 10 years later and had Lesnar vs. HHH for the World Title and then in the main event Benoit vs. HHH for the World Title.

WM 22 - Taker vs. Angle for the World Title. It would still have the same ending but just with Angle tapping before the full 3 count is made and Orton vs. Mysterio one on one.

WM 25 - Edge vs. Triple H for the WWE Title and John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the World Title. Even though we've seen Cena vs. Orton millions of times but we also saw HHH vs. Orton and Edge vs. Cena millions of times, only difference this time was the addition of Show but at least with my changes, we get one new change.

WM 26 - Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels in a Ironman Match. Would've been much fitting if Shawn went out to his best friend and the two have competed in pretty much every match except for Ironman match which is the match in which these two competed in the first two & won. Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho for the World Title and for Edge, well he could either stayed out cause he wasn't suppose to come back that early or Edge vs. Sheamus.

WM 27 - Edge vs. Christian in a TLC Match for the World Title and I would say Sting vs. Undertaker but since Sting wouldn't come to WWE, The Miz vs. Triple H for the WWE Title, still with The Miz coming out with the win and The Undertaker vs. John Cena which is a big match, so it doesn't need to be for the WWE or World Title and Rock would still cost Cena the match. Have Cena look like he's about to beat Undertaker who's fucked up like the same way he was in the match with HHH but then Rock comes out and costs Cena the match. That way it would still make Cena look strong while still losing the match.
