My brother and I were talking this past weekend and he mentioned that he hadn't seen Christian on television in a while. It got me to wondering if maybe there was some sort of problem with Christian, like a possible injury or heat backstage.
I read a report on PWInsider.com a while ago that shed some light on things, allegedly. According to the report, Christian is being taken off television until after TNA's Bound for Glory ppv. Christian is scheduled to induct Sting into the TNA Hall of Fame on that night as part of a deal WWE worked out with TNA in which Ric Flair was allowed to appear with members of the Four Horsement for the WWE HOF induction ceremony during WrestleMania weekend.
The report indicates that there's no heat on Christian. It's been reported in the past that Christian didn't really want to announce Sting's induction into TNA's HOF a few months back and that he doesn't really want to be at BFG to induct him.
The report goes onto state that the WWE plans to have Christian feud with Antonio Cesaro over the United States Championship, but they don't want Christian emboiled in a title feud while making an appearance for a rival company at said rival companies biggest show of the year. Unless things change, Christian's feud with Cesaro is expected to take place later this year.
I was hoping to see a feud between the two of them as Christian is the one ot hand Cesaro his first one on one loss in WWE a little while back just before he beat Santino for the title. Christian's someone that can make just about anyone look good while retaining his own credibility. Their match on SD! was fairly brief, it lasted about 5 minutes, but it was an entertaining match that felt much longer than it was, and I mean that in the good sense as they packed in a good amount of action into those 5 minutes.
In the meantime, it wouldn't surprise me if Cesaro isn't seen much on television until his feud with Christian starts. I expect WWE to give him one final match against Santino at NOC before he moves on to feud with Christian. Other than that, I don't think Cesaro will be seen all that much.
