Report: Possible Plans For Christian & Antonio Cesaro

YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!!!!
My brother and I were talking this past weekend and he mentioned that he hadn't seen Christian on television in a while. It got me to wondering if maybe there was some sort of problem with Christian, like a possible injury or heat backstage.

I read a report on PWInsider.com a while ago that shed some light on things, allegedly. According to the report, Christian is being taken off television until after TNA's Bound for Glory ppv. Christian is scheduled to induct Sting into the TNA Hall of Fame on that night as part of a deal WWE worked out with TNA in which Ric Flair was allowed to appear with members of the Four Horsement for the WWE HOF induction ceremony during WrestleMania weekend.

The report indicates that there's no heat on Christian. It's been reported in the past that Christian didn't really want to announce Sting's induction into TNA's HOF a few months back and that he doesn't really want to be at BFG to induct him.

The report goes onto state that the WWE plans to have Christian feud with Antonio Cesaro over the United States Championship, but they don't want Christian emboiled in a title feud while making an appearance for a rival company at said rival companies biggest show of the year. Unless things change, Christian's feud with Cesaro is expected to take place later this year.

I was hoping to see a feud between the two of them as Christian is the one ot hand Cesaro his first one on one loss in WWE a little while back just before he beat Santino for the title. Christian's someone that can make just about anyone look good while retaining his own credibility. Their match on SD! was fairly brief, it lasted about 5 minutes, but it was an entertaining match that felt much longer than it was, and I mean that in the good sense as they packed in a good amount of action into those 5 minutes.

In the meantime, it wouldn't surprise me if Cesaro isn't seen much on television until his feud with Christian starts. I expect WWE to give him one final match against Santino at NOC before he moves on to feud with Christian. Other than that, I don't think Cesaro will be seen all that much.

I feel that Christian is as good as any opponent for Cesaro, certainly better than Santino. Christian can work well with anyone and can be just as entertaining in the main event as he can be in the mid-card helping put younger talent over. With their feud, you mentioned the fact that they can bring into account their previous match-up and you could also use the fact that one is Canadian while one is European. Can prove to be cheap heel heat for Cesaro. You at least know Christian will make fun of Cesaro's "five languages" gimmick (which for a 30 second promo I actually enjoy).

Though it is obviously a small sample size and perhaps unfair, Cesaro's feud with Christian will be telling of which direction he goes with the company. From the US Title you can only go up or down (which is why it sucked with Santino because he will forever remain stagnant). Cesaro has a great feud with Christian that the fans care about? Cesaro will eventually drop the belt in order to move into the IC Title picture. Cesaro and Christian have a sub-par feud? Cesaro will be relegated to jobber and Christian will have lost nothing in the eyes of the WWE because it would be hard to imagine him as the reason the feud faltered. Christian/Cesaro will be a feud that I look forward to.

Cesaro's put on some good matches in ROH, so pairing him with Christian is just a perfect way to really introduce him to the audience, and give both of them an opportunity to put on some "Match of the Night" type entertainment. It's a stepping stone feud for Cesaro, but a welcome one.

Thank God Christian's not in trouble. At least the WWE's delivering the end of their bargain by allowing Christian to induct Sting in TNA's Hall-of-Fame, especially after being allowed to have Dusty Rhodes induct Ric Flair again.

I was hoping to see a feud between the two of them as Christian is the one to hand Cesaro his first one-on-one loss in WWE a little while back

I was also hoping to see a feud between them, since Antonio Cesaro is STILL irrelevant to me. Christian defeating Cesaro actually reminded me of the time when Matt Hardy handed Mr. Kennedy his first one-on-one loss as well, a match in which the WWE also didn't follow-up. Christian STILL deserves to win against Cesaro. He's still "that damn good". And although winning the United States Championship would be a step back for Christian, I wouldn't mind seeing him holding the strap if it would mean more TV Time for Captain Charisma.

I think that could do some good things for Cesaro. Christian is a much more capable opponent than Santino. Plus Christian is a much better in the ring and a more believable threat. A couple wins over Christian could really make Cesaro look more legit as the US champ instead of some random wins over Santino. I was hopeful for an IC title feud with Christian and Sandow, but this will due. If management is 50/50 on Cesaro like reports say lets get him with some bigger name talents and see if he can go (which I don't think will be a problem). I look forward to this possibly happening down the road.

This can only end in a positive way for both parties. Antonia Cesaro has lots of talent, untapped potential as a relevant heel and Christian is just the guy to bring it out of him. i see this as a win win situation. Christian is still on television and gives a fresh new feud relevancy and we slowly get introduced more and more to this Cesaro character and how he fits into the WWE Universe. I can't wait for this feud to start. I just hope that WWE follows through on it and doesn't pull the plug.

I hope that WWE follows through with this because it could do wonders for Cesaro. Christian is one of those guys that can make anyone look good, and it is a very credible feud for Cesaro coming off the feud with Santino. I found it strange that in the OP it said Christian didn't want to be at BFG to induct Sting. I would think it would be an honor for him to do that. Maybe he feels he isn't close enough to Sting to have that honor. On the WWE side of things though I think the Cesaro/Christian feud will do good things for both guys.

I can't think of a better feud for either guy right now. Before I get into that, to touch on him inducting Sting at BFG, I would imagine his gripe is simply that he doesn' work for TNA, he has always been a good, dependable company man. He and Booker T are the only people that could really matter in a scenario like this since they both had success in their tenures w/TNA. But who really knows for sure.

Onto the possible TV feud of the second half of the year, this just makes sense on all levels if they give them a good 4-6 weeks and a PPV match to go with it. If you think about how similar these two are, it really adds to the dynamic. Christian can help Claudio along seeing as they were both guys whose roots were in tag team wrestling, them both being the less heralded members of their teams (that's not to say any less talented) who definitely took time to develop on their own. With AC coming up before Chris Hero this gives him an opportunity to truly stand on his own, and the best way for him to do that is to wrestle a great worker like Christian on Smackdown, where they have a tendency to let guys go 15-20 mins more often than RAW. Christian can really help him with the psychology needed to reel in WWE crowds and help cement his place as one of the rising stars of the company. This is also a good opportunity for that Russian broad to start to get some heat and interfere in a match or two, even get her hands on Christian when he is down. People care about him and her getting involved will make them hate her more, completing the package of the couple.

Really hope this happens as Christian has always been a favorite of mine and Claudio is a guy I always felt would do well for himself in WWE if he got the call. He just needs to listen to the elder who can certainly help make him famous.

Cesaro needs to venture away from facing Santino. Maybe he can face smaller guys, who haven't quite made a name for themselves, but are still relevant in a way. I'd have him beat guys like Alex Riley, Zack Ryder, or Tyson Kidd. He can start to put a little prestige into his name, and by the time Christian can return, again, we could have a great feud.

If I had my way, and he had his, we would get Kings Of Wrestling in WWE. But, I'd say being US Champion in your first few months is a pretty great feat. He definitely needs to be revamped. I don't like Aksana. She isn't hot and just plain annoying. Then the whole 5 languages thing was cool at first, but anybody can learn one word in 5 languages. They need to drop that whole bit. Plus, his finisher isn't all that. I know I am just nit-picking the bad things, but I don't think he is as ready as some of the others.

He is missing something, and maybe that's just a good feud to put him over.

I dont want to see it. And who is this Antonio guy. Sounds like he is boring boring boring. Christian in the world title picture sounds better to me.

Wow, I completely forgot about Christian.

I thought they rushed giving the title to Cesaro. Right now majority of fans dont care about the guy. It just makes the US title feel irrelevant.

Christian is the perfect guy to work with Cesaro though. A program with Christian might help Cesaro get over.
