Occasional Pre-Show

My favourite show after LOST.This was one of the best shows ever. The acting was very good, the script was awesome and was visually amazing. The show has it all.Drama,action,comedy.Masi Oka (nominated for a Golden Globe)was great on the role of Hiro Nakamura, everybody’s favorite Hero.Never a show about superheroes has been so damn good.Forget Batman,The Superman and Spiderman..If you like comics, you will love this.Even if you don’t like comics, give the show a try.The story keeps getting better and better. It’s like a throw back of all the super hero characters I grew up watching like Spiderman, Incredible Hulk . The character depth is what’s impressive. The series does a good job of giving the characters a history so you not only get a better understanding of where they’re coming from, but you feel like part of this Super Power Team trying to do the right thing (except of Syler...hahaha). Their characters were very well developed but also had a sense of mystery. The story was divided into shorter episodes about the individual characters making it more personal. The powers that the characters evolve were very connected to the responsibilities that follows with them, making it even more truthful.Hope you enjoyed this review I tried to keep it short.

I mean, if ever there was a case of the writers strike hurting a show this was it. The first season was excellent, on a par with some of the greatest TV shows ever; and even the first half of the second series was better than most shows of the same ilk. Due to the writers strike it seemed like they had to rush for an ending to the second season, which dramatically hurt the show and significantly lessened the quality of it, eventually leading to its cancellation; which is a shame because the first season gave us some legitimately quite brilliant and memorable characters.

But yeah, watch anything past the first season and the first half of the second and your pretty much wasting your time. And to call it one of the greatest shows ever is laughable.

Heroes was a good show and it was unique. It wasn't any normal we go save the world. More serious and reflects our society.

I don't think I've ever been as disappointed with a show as I have been with Heroes

It had such a fantastic first season and then just plummeted downwards

It's just a shame that it had to become one of the many victims of the writer's strike

Yeah, the writers' strike absolutely killed this show. The first season was incredible, and it was starting to rival my love for Lost. But then something... happened. I really can't say just what happened during the strike. The second season was okay, and the decline in quality during this time was understandable. Maybe some writers left the show, maybe the network decided to change some things in an effort to get more ratings, but by the third season, I knew something had changed. Plotlines were started then dropped without notice, characters behaved out of character, nothing seemed to make sense. I held out hope, but eventually gave up partway through the forth season. I don't know if the show ever got better, but it seemed like a waste of a great concept and a great start to a series.

Heroes had a great potential to be a classic long lasting series, during and after the 1st season everyone was talking about it. It was in magazines, doing interviews on tv and everything but as most people will agree that was its highest peek after that season 2 went down hill and although season 3 was decent and 4 was better again, it just did not create enough stare as the the 1st season. Such a shame as I really liked it and enjoyed a lot of the storylines.

So ,u seein the show Lost again or for the first time.If first time, then my advise would be that, dont expect every question to be answered and expect a little spritual story from season 6.I actually have been plannin to watch The Sopranos for a long time.So is it really good? (for a hardcore Lost fan)

I may be one of the few out there who really LOVE Heroes.

Season one was super green.

Season two expanded on an already great story, although it did go down a bit due to the strike.

Season 3 put a nice spin on the whole thing by doing the whole "VILLAINS"/"FUGITIVES" concept.

Season 4 ... Ok, they kinda dropped the ball on that one.

But on whole, Heroes gave us some great characters, story, FX, and a good time for an hour a week.

It took me a while to get into Heroes but when I did, I found it to be a very rewarding show with a great premise that I hadn't really seen before. With all of the offerings that TV gives us now, coming up with a plot that is somewhat original and interesting is becoming more sparse.

Heroes, however, managed it and that was the greatest strength of the show. When you look at other shows, you can't always say that anything was possible and sometimes that throws up boundaries. Because of the premise of the show, Heores had no limits. And when you add that to the fantastic cast, you really have a recipe for success.

The first season was incredible, make no mistake about it. It was inventive, creative, engrossing and well-acted. The characterisation was perfect and I found myself being pulled into every episode and longing for the next episode every time I watched one. Not many shows have captured my imagination like Heroes did and that's why it is such a shame that it had to come to an end.

That being said, it was always going to run it's course. After season 1, the show was starting to become too complicated and ridiculous. That was always going to be the danger and as the show began to wrap up, I felt as though a lot of potential had been wasted. For what it was, it was a very good show that could have been so much better. Nevertheless, I only think of it as season 1 because that's the season I enjoyed the most.

I won't miss it but if it had remained to the same quality as season 1, then who knows what would have been in store for Heroes?
