Reid Flair and WWE?

Chill

Championship Contender
I've been wondering lately about Reid Flair. I'll be the first to admit that I've never seen him perform (not that he's been wrestling long anyway), nor do I know much about him other than he's Ric Flair's son. I also know that he has a thing for getting himself busted (e.g. his recent possession of drugs) but the question is, if he sorts himself out, will he perform for the WWE one day?? I would say knowing how WWE likes a good second generation star that he will wrestle for them eventually and (if booked right) being the son of Flair could be a good thing for him...

What does everyone else think?

If we ever see Reid Flair in the WWE, it will be a miracle.

The guy has been in trouble with the law numerous times in the past couple of years and I don't see Vince taking a chance on a guy like that, especially with the whole PG rating and his new approach on making the product family friendly.

Now I could most definitely be wrong, considering guys like Jeff Hardy (drugs), RVD (drugs - at least he admite to smoking pot), MVP (convicted felon), etc... have been and are WWE superstars.

His name would definitely get him a much more legitimate chance than a guy with the same amount of problems whose not a Flair.

I have never seen him before either, but if he is even halfway decent, and cleans up his act immensely, I would not be surprised to see him in the E. Vince has a boner for a second generation superstars, and an offspring of The Nature Boy would make his johnson tingle for sure.

Reid Flair would be very interesting, and I hope he does have a run with WWE at some point. Lots of wrestlers have/had problems with drugs or alcohol in the past, and I think Reid Flair deserves a shot.

I would mark out HUGE if he came out to save Ric Flair from Randy Orton in the near future, then ended up joining legacy.

I think he would get a run with the WWE on name value alone (read: Cody Rhodes), but he needs to really clean up his act. Like Ric said, his son has a disease and he needs to take the necessary steps towards getting better and kicking the heroin before the WWE is even an option.

Hogan even got off his ass to put this kid over on an indy show, so he must be half way decent.

I agree with JenovasWitness. He'll get a run by name alone. He won't amount to as much as Rick did, but still the shot. I hate saying this to any fanboys, but Cody Rhodes and DiBiase jr aren't that fantastic. They hide behind Orton. Granted it'd be a great angle to see Reid go Legacy, but more than likely, he won't. lol.

its really too early to tell really. I mean sure he's gotten himself into trouble numerous times but once he gets his act together I'm sure vince will take a shot at him. right now he just needs to mature a bit

Once he gets his focus on wrestling and proves he is mature he WILL get a shot in WWE no doubt in my mind

If he gets rid of the drugs & matures a bit then I could definitely see Reid in WWE, but only on name value alone much like Cody Rhodes.

IF(SHOULD be a BIG IF) he gets a shot in wwe it will be because is dad is vince's butt boy. If roh is so great (I don't think its very good, but flair said it was), why didn't rick stay there and have reid help build it up?

rick is vince's puppet and nothing else. reid will only get a shot because of rick.

Maybe so, but I think many wrestlers have an advantage when their father was a wrestler whether that be Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Ted Dibiase, DH Smith, The Rock etc...so naturally it will be no different for Reid Flair. Second and third generation wrestlers have to work especially hard to prove their worth and I don't feel Rhodes was signed on his surname alone as I like to think he has the talent to do well anyway...but yes, it definitely helps to have a famous surname because it instantly creates someone the fans recognize, so for example, they may say "Reid Flair is Ric's son so I'll have to check his work out" and so on...
