WZCW's First Triple Crown Champion
Before the cameras start rolling, it's been decided that a Dark Battle Royale Match will take place to warm up the audience before Redemption goes live. Who will set themselves as the guy to be on the lookout for the next month?

This is a thread for those on the current roster without a Redemption Match - Please be motivated to RP as there may be some surprises in place for those with good RPs

Newbies can post an RP in here, but will not be officially entered into the match.

Deadline for this match is Tuesday 20th April 23:59 EST

Harrys: Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen! Before the show starts, we’re going to have a battle royale for your enjoyment!

The crowd cheer loudly, making their appreciation heard.

Harrys: The rules are as follows, all men will...

Suddenly, Harrys is interrupted by Bliss. Blade struts onto the ramp, an ugly look of contempt across his face and a microphone in hand. The crowd boo loudly as Blade stands at the top of the ramp, taking in the crowd reaction. He raises the microphone to his lips and waits for a moment. After looking around at the crowd, he finally speaks.

Blade: Typical.... Typical. Again, the suits who sit in their offices are holding me back. They sit up there, twenty fourth floor, Brandy and cigars for all. They’re laughing at the sheep, you people and the pawns, us wrestlers. They take their most promising star, the one, the only one who is truly destined for greatness... And they leave him off the Pay Per View.

Blade slowly starts wandering down the ramp, shooting looks of disgust at the crowd members who hold out their hands.

Blade: They’ve been keeping me down for so long... Screwing me over at Lethal Lottery, screwing me over in the EurAsian league and now... Once again they keep me, the man who decisively beat Rush at Kingdom Come and put him in the hospital, off the Pay per View.

He reaches the end of the ramp, and looks around again before going up the steps and getting into the ring.

Blade: A fan actually laughed at me outside because I’ve lost so many of my recent matches. Well lets go through them shall we? I walked away from Garth Black cause he wasn’t worth my time. I got pinned in a handicap match, a handicap match I was unjustly placed in might I add, simply because I made a little mistake after I was having fun dominating the WZCW tag team champions and lastly, I should’ve won last week. I passed out in that submission, but even after that, my opponent should've been disqualified because Payne didn't break the submission.

The crowd let out a pop as Corey Payne is mentioned.

Blade: Oh yes, that’s right; all of you are behind Payne these days aren’t you? Yeah, I can understand that because none of you had any success apart from the people who have mistakenly stumbled into it.

The crowd boo loudly as Blade slowly starts walking around the ring.

Blade: You people cheer for Payne, a man who unconsciously tripped into a King for a Day win. You people cheer for Trevor Steel, a man who we see constantly prioritising his career over his son. And you people cheer for.... Titus.

The crowd let out a huge roar as Titus is mentioned.

Blade: Titus. A man who has become so egotistical and obnoxious since winning the world title, that he has alienated Carmen Bratchny, one of his best friends.

The crowd again begin to boo as Blade removes his trench coat and sunglasses.

Blade: You people boo me for my supposed dastardly acts, but at least I’m willing to come out here and admit that sometimes I’m not the best person. But all these people that you cheer for.... They’ve all done bad things, but every single one of them is in denial. None of them are willing to admit their faults, so really.... How are they any better?

Blade stands in the middle of the ring, the boos now deafening. He raises his head and smirks before handing the microphone to the referee and waiting for his first opponent.

Backstage at Redemption. In what appears to be a typical "promo room", with steel and chain link walls, and a large HD monitor that is silently playing a video package for Redemption. The promotion's biggest stars are featured on it. In front of this stands Becky Serra, microphone in hand. She is dressed up for tonight's event in a silver and blue nightgown, with her hair done up and a 220 watt smile.

Becky: Welcome back, wrestling fans. This is Rebecca Serra, we're just moments away from Redemption 2010, and I have received news that there will be an unscheduled battle royal tonight before the show. What kind of surprises and excitement can we expect from this match? Well, I'm here with one of the participants, an unknown to these parts. Let me introduce you to Juan Gordito!

[Becky gestures with her right arm towards the side of the screen. Gordito approaches from this same side. He's dressed for competition in a black wrestling singlet and green camo shorts, and also wearing his ratty red robe. His mohawk is not put up, but pulled to one side. He smiles like he's been having one of the better days in his life. He stands to her right while she turns to face him]

Becky: Gordito, I know you're on your way to the ring, but thank you for giving us a moment of your time.

Gordito: No problem at all, Becky. I figure the fans deserve to know what kind of freak they'll be seeing out there tonight. This is my first trip to the WZCW spotlight, and I'm going to do my damn hardest to make sure those fans out there know just who I am by the time I'm done here tonight.

Becky: With no contract or spot in the company on the line, this may be your first and final match here in WZCW. I understand you left a guaranteed job in California to be here tonight, and when it's all over, you might have nothing to show for it. What brought you all the way out here?

Gordito: Opportunity knocks, Becky, opportunity knocks. And it's up to us to answer it. In this case, I opened the door for opportunity, and I gave it a cold beer. I got a chance at nothing more than a bus ticket here and a gig for the night, and the way I see it that was more than enough. The bus ride could have been better, but not the dreams I had on it. Dreams of being here in the big show. Dreams of seeing just how far I can go with just this smile [turns his face just slightly so that his missing tooth is apparent], this passion [bumps his fists to his chest on each syllable of "passion"], and these hands [opens his fists and holds his hands shortly in front of himself].

[Turns towards the camera]

Gordito: WZCW is quite simply, THE big time. There was never any doubt in my mind, when I swore to myself that I was gonna be one of the greatest wrestlers or die trying, that the road ended anywhere but here. But the road begins here too, and baby, I know I've got my work cut out for me.

[Turns back towards Becky]

Becky: WZCW is the big time, but it's also pretty crazy. Have you had a chance to familiarize yourself with some of threats you'll be facing? Some of them even tonight, perhaps?

Gordito: Oh yeah, and I gotta say, the roster reads like a "who's who" of the baddest of the bad. Garth Black, Everest, Titus, Austin Reynolds....whew, those are some the toughest guys around, Becky. I mean...Heavy Artillery...I love Karzai, man. There's another guy who does stuff his own damn way! The Ghetto Stars, Baker and Baller. Big Dave, Frankie Smith, Scott Hammond...these guys are champions for a reason. This isn't just where the big dogs play; this is where the big dogs shine! This is where the mettle of men and their passions are tested. All of these guys are people I would be honored to compete with. Win or lose, I know I'll be going up against the absolute best if I'm here in WZCW. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Becky: Indeed, those are some of our biggest stars here. And what do you bring that you think will help you compete with these guys?

Gordito: I've been training for years for a shot like this, and to compete at this level. I've been perfecting my craft out west to test myself against the likes of Blade, Karnage, and The Killjoy. I can handle any abuse anyone can give me, and I'll still get back up and ask for more. No physical beating, no thrashing can be worse than the beating my pride would take if I had never tried, baby. And what can anyone do to a man who isn't afraid of getting their ass beat?

Becky: Well, you certainly sound ready for it. Good luck in your match tonight, Gordito, and I hope we haven't seen the last of you here in WZCW.

Gordito: I appreciate that, Becky, I certainly hope I haven't seen the last of you. But I don't have any room for luck in my mindset tonight, oh no.

[Turns back towards camera]

Gordito: I'm here to have fun and go crazy. Tonight, this match, this chance....for the Dirty One, it's 100% about tough-as-nails DIY attitude, and knowing once it's all said and done...whether I get my foot in the door, or get my ass parked in a bathtub full of ice...that I did it my way! The punk way! See you later, Becky!

[Gordito exits towards the ring while Becky faces the camera again]

Becky: Remember folks, it's still not too late to order Redemption 2010 on pay per view, just dial your local cable or satellite provider and....

[The video package from the monitor starts playing on the screen as the dark match is about to begin]

Leopold Sade is in the dark corners of his study, a handheld digital camera in hand. With this, he pans around the room. His bookshelves are filled with history books, books on philosophy, and several books on behavioral studies. On the walls of his study are pictures of great men, long dead, and maps of ancient empires that no longer exist.

Sade turns towards the camera to speak words of great discouragement.

"I've not yet arrived, yet I can already feel that the end is near.

I have not come to this promotion to achieve stardom. I have not come in search of glory. I have no use for achievement or accumulation of wealth. I certainly do not desire the adoration of the fans.

For I do not wish to make myself a legend. I do not want to become one more notch on the mantle of professional wrestling fame. That pantheon is already crowded and filled with tired relics. So many men have wrecked their bodies for an audience that will soon let them be forgotten.

Eventually the memories of all great men fade. Their only lasting contribution is to serve as a bridge between one generation and the next. I think it’s high time that we stop building bridges. The ever expanding story of the human race needs to come to an end.

The wheels have already been in motion long before any of us currently living have even been born. As any Malthusian will suggest, we have long surpassed the critical population limit for sustainable resources. As any soldier will tell you, we have long possessed weapons capable in times of total war of leaving the world around us a wasteland. As all great capitalists have noted, the greed and willingness of man to consume is limitless. An environmentalist will describe in intricate detail how we have raped this once lush planet, and then go on to say whether or not climate change is caused by our hand or nature’s fate, it will certainly be catastrophic to mankind.

We are in the final hour, and I’ve come to destroy what’s left. For I look around me, and I see that the people of this earth are not good. I know from personal experience that all that remains is comfort and inspiration from our heroes, and with this comes hope. I’ve come to dismantle hope.

The human spirit is a remarkably stubborn thing. It must face constant disappointment to be beaten.

Week after week I will come down to defeat your superstars. All that you believe in, all that you cheer for, will be put to rest. You will come to hate me. It will pain you just to see my face. It’s not your hatred that I want though, or even merely just your pain. I want to crush the very will of human spirit beneath me, and with that I will personally watch humanity shrivel up and die.

What purpose does the continuation of man serve if man as a whole has not been or ever will be good?"

With that, the camera turns and zooms in on a close up picture of Adolph Hitler, before clicking off, ending the scene.

The screen fades in to Klamor standing with Smith. Klamor has a microphone. The room they're in is empty. There's a set of weights, but nothing else.

Klamor- ...OK, I've gotta ask. What the hell are you doing in here?

Smith smirks. He looks at the weights and sarcastically shrugs his shoulders.

Smith- I don't know, maybe I was working out?

Klamor sighs at the comment and looks around the room. Smith crosses his arms and straightens out. Klamor turns back to Smith.

Klamor- Is that all you're doing? Seriously, it-

Smith puts a hand over Klamor's mouth.

Smith- Ever since Kingdom Come, you've been overshadowing me in these interviews. I try to get my opinion across, just for you to come out with some sarcastic comment, stopping me in my tracks. So this week, you're going stand there and make it look like you care about my opinion. If you could just manage that simple task, then that'd be just dandy.

He pauses and takes a deep breath. He takes his hand off of Klamor's mouth. Klamor opens his mouth to say something, but reconsiders and closes it.

Smith- Now, the reason I'm working out on my own in this empty room, is because I am determined to win this match. I'm not gonna complain about 'management being a disgrace for overlooking me', because it's not true. I've realised that I keep screwing up in my matches, so I'm striking back with a vengeance. I am heading into this battle royal with full force, because I am going to win it.

He turns towards the camera, looking straight at it.

Smith- I underestimated the competition here. This is my second Pay Per View....technically. I've spent my time since Ascension working my ass off. I've been in the gym at least 8 hours a day. I'm going straight there after my match, win or lose. My point is that I am tired of losing. Consider this a new start. After failing to get onto the Redemption card, I've decided that I'm gonna start winning my matches. My first move is to win this battle royal, regardless of who is in it.

He turns back to Klamor.

Smith- You can ask a question. Make it good, because you may not get another.

Klamor scowls at Smith.

Klamor- OK...what are you planning on doing after you 'win' this battle royal?

Smith shakes his head.

Smith- That was a crap question. After this battle royal, I'm planning on completely dominating the Mayhem division. Whether I have to kick Killjoy's ass, or Hammond's. I'm getting that belt, one way or another.

Klamor looks at his watch.

Klamor- You've got about 30 seconds before I give up. Can you say at least one interesting thing before I walk off?

Smith thinks about it.

Smith- ...No.

Smith walks over to the weights and starts counting. Klamor's quickly realises the interview and just walks off. When Klamor walks off, Smith stops and shakes his head.

Smith- ...Idiot

The camera fades out.

While out touring Camp LeJune, The General and USA are having an intense conversation. The cameras pick it up in progress as USA is standing on a piece of equipment yelling down.

USA: I know this is an opportunity to show the people in the office that my wins are not flukes, that I've turned it around, but I still wish I had a match on the PPV.

GLD: Then take the opportunity and shine.

USA: I will. Don't worry about that. I am going to make them regret not putting me on TV. I need to win this. I need to keep my positive momentum going. I need...

GLD: You need to relax . You need to remember that there was a time when you weren't even asked to go on the trip for the big shows. You need to remember that you have had opportunities and gotten so wound up that you didn't wrestle your match. This is a battle royal. You're not going to get rolled up. Getting hit with high impact offense in the middle of the ring doesn't mean that you lose. You are strong, you have amazing balance. These attributes are what make you platoon leader. These attributes are what have to make you the favorite.

USA: You know what? You're right. I am kind of built for battle royals. Too bad titles aren't won in battle royals.

GLD: But title shots are. Opportunities are. This is the chance to stand in the center of the ring with your arms raised while 15 other men hang their heads on the outside of the ring. The visual alone elevates you in everyone's eyes.

USA: (smiling to himself and climbing down) I understand. I get it. I know. Believe me. There is nothing more in this world that I want than to be thought of as "The Guy." This seems to be the avenue I have been given, so this is the avenue I will take.

GLD: Good. Now, remember, no DQ's either.

USA: I know, I need to watch out.

GLD: Or take advantage.

USA: That's not how a Marine rolls.

GLD: I know. You're right. Sorry. I just want to see you succeed.

USA: I will. And, I'll do it on my terms.

The cameras fade out as USA and The General walk to a group of Marines running an obstacle course.

In a secluded wooded area behind Sal's Pizza shop, Wasabi Toyota can be seen sitting on the ground, meditating in the nude. After a few moments, Toyota gets up and lays on a hammock strung between two trees, picks up a cool glass of lemonade, and pops in an Israel Kamakawiwo CD into a CD player to his left. He then picks up a small tape recorder, presses play, and begins to speak.

Toyota: This is Part 1 of the 1 million Part Series - "The Toyota Memoirs." These tapes will not only chronicle what hopefully will be a very successful and impactful WZCW career, but more importantly will provide life lessons and advice that people everywhere, especially young people can follow. The buzz word today is "violence." Sure, young rascals nowadays think blowing stuff up and killing other humans is all the rage, but I got news for you, it's not. Just because Jason Statham is out there acting like a badass on the silver screen, doesn't mean you should, too. I have first hand experience. When I first came to America and joined the Yazuka, I convinced myself it was only because I needed to survive and had not other choice. But after some soul searching and reflecting, deep down I know that isn't true. There was a little part of me that enjoyed the killing, the burning an innocent families home in the middle of the night, the beating a man to death while he was begging for mercy.

What did all of this get me? Firstly, tremendous guilt that kept building, and building, and building inside of me. It got so bad that it literally physically pained me and I spent countless night puking and bawling my eyes out. I've manage to alleviate some of that pain by getting back to my Buddhism, but I don't believe it will every truly be gone. My entrance into the world of violence nearly got me killed as well. I was lucky to escape from the crime world alive after undergoing excruciating and unimaginable torture. I will see every moment for the rest of my life as a blessing from now on. Whether I'm working in Sal's shop, training, or letting every inch of my body soak up the beautiful sunshine. I had to struggle through ridiculously rough times to get to this point of relative peace in my life. I urge all of you young people out there not to get involved with the world of crime. There are much better things to do with your time, like smoke weed or have premarital sex. Anything but violence.

I understand that some of you may be thinking that I'm rather hypocritical for preaching about non violence while being a pro wrestler. You fail to see the whole picture. I wrestle so that I can stop the violence. I wrestle to rid the world of evil. Sure, I may have to make some sacrifices and endure some pain along the way, but better me than a poor, innocent child. I'm just starting this journey, which is sure to be a long one. I'll be going all out from day one because evil never rests, but Toyota never stops.

Toyota turns off the tape recorder, places it back on the table, and resumes his meditation.
