THE RAZORS EDGE
Razor Ramon, The 1-2-3 Kid, Headshrinkers
vs
THE KLIQ
Shawn Micheals, Diesel, Jeff Jarrett, The Roadie
Razor and The Kid had feuds with all 4 members of the heel team here which features Shawn and his bodyguard teaming up with Jeff Jarrett and his bodyguard. Meanwhile Shawn and Diesel had recently taken the tag team titles from The Headshrinkers making them the logical choice to pair up with Razor and The Kid.
SURVIVORS: Shawn and Diesel. They had great chemistry together and were super over as heels. No need to split them up and force feed us Diesel as champion when he was not ready. Plus, they're the tag team champions. SurivoR Series is all about tag team competition so logically the tag champs should have a psychological advantage. Tag teams so rarely won at Survivor Series which made very little sense. If two mega stars like Shawn and DIesel can't get the W, then what team can?
THE KINGS COURT
Yokozuna, Owen Hart, Jim Neidhart, Bob Backlund, Jerry The King Lawler
VS
TEAM HART & SOUL
The Undertaker, Bret Hart, The British Bulldog, Bob Holly, Rowdy Roddy Piper
Bret Hart had feuds in 1994 with every single member of this heel faction captained by The King Of Harts Owen Hart. Owens is paired up with his brother in law The Anvil, while Bret teams with his brother in law Davey Boy. Joining forces with Owen is fellow King Jerry Lawler and Bob Backlund, who had just snapped and attacked Bret Hart and while I didn't mind the feud I don't feel it warranted being a title match worthy feud. Backlund only ever won the belt so he could be a transitional champion and drop the belt to Diesel a few days later, who, as I already mentioned, I feel was rushed to the main event way too soon. Owen's final partner is his future tag team partner, and the man Bret defeated for the title earlier in the year at Mania, Yokozuna who was now feuding with the recently returned Undertaker. Roddy Piper also made a return in 1994, making 2 appearances at Wrestlemania X and King Of The Ring where he fought Jerry Lawler (in one of the worst main events in wrestling history). I would have scrapped that match entirely and saved Piper's second appearance for this event where he could have teamed with long time on again off again rival/ally Bret Hart in a limited capacity. I originally had Doink the Clown as the 5th member of Bret's team as he was feuding with Lawler at the time, but I was never a fan of the feud nor was I fan of Doink turning face to begin with so I stuck Bob Holly in there instead.
SURVIVOR: Bret Hart and The Undertaker
The Million Dollar Corporation
Tatanka, King Kong Bundy, Bam Bam Bigelow, I.R.S, Doink
VS
Guts And Glory
Lex Luger, Mabel, Adam Bomb, Smoking Gunns
Not sure why they didn't have the Million Dollar Corporation teaming up at the 94 survivor series as they had 5 members in Tatanka, Bundy, Bigelow, IRS and Volkoff. Why they stuck the Heavenly Bodies with Tatanka, Bundy and Bigelow is beyond me. Anyway, I keep the corporation together only with one exception. Forget Volkoff. Forget he ever joined the stable. I would have rathered see a heel Doink in the Corporation. Dibiase would have made a great manager for Doink, certainly an improvement over Dink, as both Dibiase and Doink have those devilisly over the top supervillian laughs. Meanwhile, Lugers team stays the same as it was in 94.
SURVIVORS: Bundy and Bigelow
WILDCARD GRANDE FINALE
Shawn, Bundy, Bigelow
VS
Bret, Undertaker, Diesel
(This is where I throw in a swerve. The Grande Finale here is under wildcard rules, meaning the 6 men who have advanced will be randomly paired together through the luck of the draw. This results in Shawn and Diesel ending up on opposite teams. At some point, Shawn tells Diesel to just lay down and let him pin him. Diesel refuses. Shawn gets in his face but before they end up coming to blows Bundy and Bigelow attack Diesel. Bret and Taker even the odds. During the melee, Shawn hides on the outside not wanting to get involved. In the end Shawn is alone on the heel side and decides to bail. Shawn is counted out and the Survivors are Bret, Undertaker and Diesel. Bret and Taker have their arms raised while a pissed-off Shawn stands alone at the top of the isle holding his tag team title. Diesel is invited to celebrate with Bret and Taker but instead attacks them both. Shawn returns to the ring where he and Diesel attack the faces with the tag titles and celebrate together.
This sets up a tag team feud between the 4 over the next little while but at the same time we do get some disention between Shawn and Diesel without a full blown break up and Diesel being pushed as a main event babyface. I would still have Shawn and Diesel break up but I would save it for after the Royal Rumble and there match at Wrestlemania would be for the Intercontinental Title not the WWF title meanwhile Bret would face Undertaker for the WWF title in a babyface vs babyface main event.
