I would send Santino to smackdown. Santino's comedy has began to run it's course on Raw and I think Smackdown could use some of Santino's comedy to bring some more entertainment to that brand. Also maybe if he switches brand the WWE will decide to start building him as a legit wrestler and not just a 100% comedy jobber.
Let me tell ya somethin', brother. It's a testament to Santino's ability, that he has been able to not only survive, but thrive on the same, crowded show for the past 20 or so months. He's been able to stay over purely on comedy. Week in and week out, he makes the fans laugh in one way or another. I don't think his comedy has "run it's course" as you said. He's currently involved in a program with Goldust. Were Goldust to tow the line and actually preform to his standard, this feud could be magnificent. If anything, it's not Santino who's comedy is becoming stale, it's Goldust's.
Everyone in the Santino Fan-a-Club seems obsessed with the idea of Santino becoming a legitimate wrestler. Let me tell you, that's not going to happen any time soon. For the nearly two years, he's been portrayed as a man who can't get a clean win over any male and he has even jobbed to women. A brand switch wouldn't erase that from the fan's memory. They could push Santino as a wreslter all they want, but no one will buy it. I have very little confidence that he would be able to stay over as a wrestler rather than a side attraction.
He's got a good thing going right now. I'm not sure why you'd want to change that. On to my choices...
I'm going to include E.C.W. into this as well.
First, I would send
Rey Mysterio to
E.C.W. Right now, Rey is involved in a program with Mike Knox. He's been getting his arse handed to him week in and week out for near two months now. Prior to this, he had one of the worst feuds of the year with Kane. It's pretty obvious that he doesn't have a place on R.A.W. anymore. There are those better suited to chase the Intercontinental Championship and Rey frankly isn't at World Championship level anymore. He's been lost in the shuffle and has been thrown into boring feuds that aren't beneficial to him at all. Moving to E.C.W. would give him an excellent fresh start, a fresh start that is long over due.
He could have a place at the top of the card again. He would be a center piece and focus of the show and would really help some of the younger guys get over. A feud with Swagger or Bourne could really help both men out. Rey is expierenced and knows how to get others over. He'd be a nice stepping stone for those two.
And finally, I think that Rey Mysterio has earned one last World Title Reign. Holding the ECW championship would be the perfect way for him to have that without putting him over those who actually will be active competitors for years and years to come. It's also more of an Upper-MidCard belt, rather than a World Championship. It's at about the same level that Rey is now.
I would also send
Matt Hardy to
Smack!down. He's done all that he can on ECW. They gave him his test drive with a world title, feuded with the top guys, and helped out the younger guys a bit. Now that he's given the belt to Swagger, he has no more purpose in ECW. He should move on to bigger things.
Matt has proven that he is reliable. He sells merchandise, or atleast he does as one half of the Hardy Boyz. The ECW ratings didn't slip with him as champion, so he is a consistent draw. Matt also didn't screw up like Jeff did. Matt's never had drug/alcohol/attitude/steroid issues. Besides the love triangle, he hasn't done anything remotely punishable. Even in that, he was the victim.
Why not move him to Smackdown and put him in the title hunt? He's a fan favorite and often times out pops his brother. Let Jeff Hang on to the belt for a while and have the two brothers feud. Let them end it at Summerslam or even a less important PPV. If the fans like it, and I'm quite positive the average fan would love it, give them more. If they don't, remove Matt from the main event. It's simple as that.
Finally, I'd have to agree with NoFate and move
The Big Show to
R.A.W. He has literally
nothing to do on Smackdown. I can't remember anything remotely interesting that Show has done in the last five months.
On RAW, I feel he could make an immediate impact in the main event scene. He could replace Batista as the gentle giant. I don't know. He just needs to be far away from where he is now.
