You talkin' to me?
The main event for that episode was set to be Seth Rollins VS Roman Reigns. It happened and Reigns won clean. Strangely, the match was also scheduled for Night of Champions PPV. Thereafter, Reigns got injured and didn't appear at the PPV. In fact, he didn't appear for the better part of that year.
It was one of the times when Reigns wasn't much over. He used to get mostly negative reactions. People had become aware that Reigns was pegged to be the one to dethrone Lesnar at Wrestlemania 31. Ambrose had gone for film shooting and Rollins didn't have any feud. Having beat Orton at Summerslam, Reigns had tons of momentum going along with him. Unfortunately, he got injured.
Then, Ambrose showed up at Night of Champions and it all felt so awkward. So what boggles me is why Reigns won clean at Raw when he was already booked to face Rollins 6 days later? Did they know what was coming? Did they know Reigns was going to disappear after that Raw? Did they think absence of Reigns will help him either way?
