Tell your friend the site has a LOT of problems.
First of all, why in the world does your friend (I'm going to assume it's a she) have huge fucking images in the background of each individual show? Why would people want to load 150K of one image that we cannot even see?
Second of all, what the fuck is up with the music? Turn that shit off. Nobody wants to visit a page where music plays automatically, the death of Myspace is proof of that. If she wants to provide music, have a little music player at the top right of the page where it can be easily turned on or off (and certainly not down at the very bottom of the page after massive scrolling to get to it). But don't make the music start automatically.
Third of all, she needs to do image compression. Use Yahoo's SmushIt! program to reduce image file size. This will make pages load faster.
Also, try to find a plugin which combines the Javascript and CSS into one or two pages. It will make loading times much faster. You also don't want a bunch of Javascript pages loading, because web browsers can only load one Javascript page at a time, and it blocks simultaneously downloading of other things on the page, which increases the delay in downloading the page.
Use
http://analyze.websiteoptimization.com and Firefox's Firebug and YSlow to find other ways to optimize page loading speed.
The image of the panda on the left heading of the page obscures the text. Remove the image.
There are too many links in the menu bar. Condense them.
If your friend actually cares about my advice, let me know, and I'll suggest some more things. I've built several web sites over the years, so I have some ideas on what needs to be done with basic sites like hers.
