Randy Ortons changing his look?

Orton has been growing his beard out lately and I was curious if this is gonna be the start of a new look for him. It would be good because maybe he will begin to grow his hair out also and keep the beard and maybe transform into a different anti clean cut look. Cena being the top babyface and being so clean cut and all makes Orton kind of his number 2 in a way. But if Orton toys with a new look it could be a major step to elevate him even more and distance himself from the Cena style character. Especially if Orton went heel again. The move to SD will be a flop if he doesnt establish something unique over there.

Randy Orton is to John Cena as Randy Savage was to Hulk Hogan.

Orton will never fully get out of Cena's spotlight; ok with the exception that Savage could work a match around all three of these guys and make them all look golden. So anything he can do to separate himself from Cena the better it is for him.

I could see a beard working for him, but Orton looks best when his hair is shortly shaved. He's had various lengths of hair through out his career, nothing too long.

I love this new look, it reminds me alot of his "Legend Killer" gimmick. I have never been a fan of the clean shaven, shaved head "Viper" gimmick so seeing him grow his hair back and get a bit of a beard going is very refreshing! Hopefully over time they fade this "Viper" character out and give him something new to run with on Smackdown!

I'd like him to keep the beard thing he's got going on. Not as long as Morrison's, but keep it maintained to be as it has been these past 2 weeks.

Definately shouldn't grow his hair. Even the length he had in Evolution looked too long for him. Though don't have him go bald..

I noticed it as well.I like his beard.Just adds some sort of thing to me I dont know how to describe it.

I am ok with the beard as omg as he does not go bald, he would look like CM Punk when he got his head shaved and had the mask taken off. I like the new look better than the shaved all over look. And so do my little sisters.

It kinda makes him look more "viper-ish). It gives him more of an edgy heel look.

Nevertheless, i think that his beard look very good on him, and that he shouldnt let her grow, only make her small!!

Randy Orton will be World Heavyweight Champion in 2011 and he will look like a beast with that beard ahaha

I believe it's nice to see something new but he has to maintain it. I always have been and always will be a fan of Randy's but lookwise I hated when he was trying the bald look.If he grows it out too long then it'll look weird, keep it short but rugged. Thats exactly what the look is right now, it's a badass rugged look without going full blown Mike Knox. As long as he goes by that, keeps his hair around this length and keeps up the roll he's on then good things are going to happen.

Orton never suited the slap head look, being as slim as he is it did not look right at all. I think he should go back to the length of hair he had in Evolution and go for a stubble beard. That would make him look less clean-cut and more "edgy". I am just glad he is looking like he is changing his look a bit, it was getting pretty dated. A new look for the new number 1 star on Smackdown. I am liking it

I like Orton's new look. It makes him look more badass and a bit more human. It also makes him look a bit more matured. I've been a fan of his face turn but not of that oiled up look that he sports. A badass needs to look rugged and that earlier look of his was a bit too polished for my liking.

"Wise Men all have beards!" I just made that up lol but I agree with what someone said about Cena being like Hogan and Randy being like well...Randy Savage lol

However I do dislike Ortons ability to pull out an RKO from nowhere after getting a beat down...

I think Orton needs to keep a shaved face because its sleek like a viper who can slip under an opponent and hit an RKO in mere seconds not this bearish slow beard thing

I like the new look, but he needs to keep it maintained at the stubble/short length, not let it get to a full beard, and keep his hair short. He doesn't look right with hair any longer than what he's had recently.

I think that new look could work well for him, and like others have said, move away a little bit from the Viper gimmick, establish something a little different for his run on Smackdown. Just as long as the beard stays very short and the hair stays where he's had it, I think anything else won't look right and won't fit.

If Orton can come anything close to that amazing thing, than he has a chance, but I doubt it

second best beard was Edges after he was injured and came back to win the title at a PPV (but i cant find a photo)

I'm indifferent to the beard. At first, I wasn't a big fan of it as I'm not really big on facial hair, especially if it gets to the size of Mike Knox's. But it looked okay this past Friday on Smackdown. As long as he doesn't rock the bald look and grow out his beard too much (a la CM Punk after he got his mask removed), I'm okay with it. I'm not sure if this will lead to a gimmick change but Orton did seem more open and overall likeable when he made his Smackdown return. He was less monotone than he was on RAW.

I think its a good look to be honest being one that sports something similar facially
Like others have said, it has opened him up slightly and i hope this is the way his character is going...the whole monotone voice thing is really annoying! I think now that he is the top guy on another show he needs to show more passion and openness with the audience and if the addition of facial hair is one of the changes that facilitates this then I think it is a good thing.

I think it's a good thing as long as his keeps it around this length. It is nice to see him change his look a bit however I do not want to see him rockin the CM Punk New Nexus look. Keep both the hair and beard at the length they're at right now, not any shorter or longer and I think it will be a cool rustic manly look that the guys will want to copy and the girls will go crazy for.

I like Randy Orton but the beard leaves me at...meh! I think a goatee would look better. His beard right now looks like it is not growing out very well. Just imo.
