QUARTER FINALS: Iron Man & Inspector Gadget vs. Martian Manhunter & Urdnot Wrex

ROUND FOUR

The strong have been separated from the weak as we move into the quarter finals, and the first match sees two technological marvels go toe to toe with the last remaining space men in the BattleZone Tournament. Both teams have incredible weaponry at their disposal, but which teams uses them to win?

As cool a team as Iron Man and Inspector Gadget are, they're not going to win this. Martian Manhunter is simply too good.

Gadget is a good hand to assist Iron Man, but he's also a liability due to his incompetence and the fact that his vanilla offence is far from amazing. Iron Man either has to let Gadget die, in a fight he cannot win due to Martian's strength, speed, durability and teleportation, or guard Gadget and play defensive, giving him an uphill battle to get offence in. Gadget's offence won't be enough to hold off Urdnot, let alone Manhunter, unless he manages to discover Manhunter's weakness.

Iron Man vs Manhunter would be a good fight, but ultimately, Manhunter can dish out enough damage to defeat the suit. The suit does protect from Manhunter's telekinesis, but ultimately, without knowing Manhunter's weakness, Manhunter would be able to rip off the suit (Thor did it, so it's safe to assume Manhunter can do it also)

There's no real way Iron Man and Inspector Gadget can stop Manhunter without knowing Manhunter's weakness. Urdnot could probably beat Gadget on the ground after some resistance from Gadget, and get some damage on Iron Man to help Manhunter.

Logically, Manhunter and Wrex are going to take this one, but if we learned anything from last round, any team with Iron Man is going to win because of the obsessive boner they have for him. Manhunter is perhaps the most dangerous man in this tournament. His strength and morphing ability alone can turn Iron Man into a crushed can.

If you wanna be smart, vote Manhunter.

I'm at work right now so I can't grab the exact scans, but Iron Man suits are extremely suspectable to people who can phase through solid objects. In fact, so are any form of electronics. All Manhunter needs to do is phase through Iron Man and Gadget and it's game over.

I don't know about Gadget, but Iron Man's power source becomes a major liability in long battles. MM's density manipulation is overpowered, yes, but this defence gives him the edge over Iron Man.
