Paramount Crossover Album

Mr. TM

Throwing a tantrum
Recently the lead singer of Protest The Hero Rody Walker stated that he would love to do some work with Hayley Williams of Paramore. This has me thinking. Paramore is extremely popular in the world of music, and I wonder if they have a shot to make a crossover album with Protest The Hero.

Now Protest The Hero in popularity might not be as big as Paramore, but their music is very well recieved. And whenever a female vocalist has worked with the band (Kezia) the songs have been fantastic.

This got me thinknig a little bot more. Instead of just a split with Protest The Hero or something, why doesn't Paramore or simply Hayley Williams take the same path that Timbaland took when he put himself into a bunch of other bands work, giving them some cred, but creating some really good songs together. Hayley has a great voice and it could go over great with a harder song that bands like Protest The Hero and many others have.

So do you think Hayley should branch out, take her lyrical popularity and mix it in with other bands to give them a fresh sound, released under her name?

I must admit I don't have much, if any knowledge about these two bands, but I'll give it a shot.

I guess you can always mix two music acts no matter the popularity and make good music, but on the other hand you can also make bad music.

On the good side, there's been many past bands and music acts that has come together to create great music, two that comes to mind is Seether featuring Amy Lee - Broken, and Bono alongside Mary J Blige - One which both topped the charts and became quite popular selling songs.

On the other hand, it could easily go into becoming a failure, now I don't have any examples really that i can come off with on the top of my head, but I do know there's been some awful mix ups, oh yes now I got one, Timbaland ft. One Republic - apologize, now I loved the original that One Republic did by themselves, and while Timbaland went along and made it a huge hit, I personally grew tired of it incredibly fast, mostly because Timbaland was basically putting himself as a featured act on the song, while all he did was some sounds here and there, not enough to make a note worthy featured artist if you ask me.

So really there's a lot of ways it could easily go on to become a mega hit and sell greatly, but it could also go on to become something people either grow tired of too quickly, or find too mainstream, etc. there's a lot of reasons why it could go wrong honestly.

A follow up on this idea. Hayley Williams has began working with a very popular artist, who some of you know as Eminem. The work will be released under rapper B.o.B. for his upcoming album.

If the arrangement was successful, than I could see Eminem wanting to get in on a potential Williams album. If Eminem is willing to work with her, than I am sure she can easily find the artists to make this happen.
