Anybody with a taste for real music, please, please, flock to this thread and take care of this idiot.

Well you got him pretty good, but if I can think of anything that you have not said yet I will be sure to get in on this. Besides, once X shows up I am sure he will have something spectacular to say.

D-Man doesn't like Nirvana either. Are you all going to go and try to take him on?

Stop falling all over yourselves for the fresh noob, and try to actually take someone out who posts a post larger than 2 sentences before he forgets what he's saying and starts wanking to his mother.

Meh, he kinda right, Nirvana is an overrated band, they get far far to much credit for the whole grunge scene, and are not even the most talent band out of that era, I would put AIC, Soundgarden & Pearl Jam all above them. I don't agree with him that Nirvana only had 2 or 3 good songs though, I would say it's more along the lines of 2 or 3 good/decent albums

Didn't X and I have this argument when he first came back from hiatus? I'm thinking so. As I remember, we neither one backed down. I've since changed my opinion, slightly. Still think they get way too much credit, though.

Nirvana were grunge. Pearl Jam were alternative rock. Alice in Chains was practically metal. There were very few true grunge bands. Green River and the like.

I don't doubt that X, but to give all the credit to Nirvana, and not the bands that inspired them is kind of shortchanging them, isn't it?
