Officially Rooting for the Seahawks

100:1 Odds of winning the Super Bowl, first team in NFL history to make the playoffs despite having a losing season.

I'm picking them to have the ultimate Cinderella story and win it all. If Rey Mysterio can become World Champ why can't they win the Super Bowl damn it?

I'd root for Seattle if Pete Carroll wasn't there. Hate to see him desert USC after screwing them up.....and wind up winning the Super Bowl. Ugh.

The Seahawks are going to get destroyed by the Saints
The Seahawks have a shot against the Saints. Not saying they WILL win, but it'll be better then you would think.

And anyone who would bet money on the Seahawks winning the Super Bowl is insane. No way they are winning 4 games in a row. They can win 1, but then they go on to play at Atlanta (who doesn't lose at home), or at Chicago. They aren't winning either game.

The Seahawks have a chance against the Saints as Storm Trooper said. They have home field advantage which could be big. That stadium is said to be one of the hardest places to play due to the crowd and possible weather conditions.

As for winning 4 in a row, anything can happen. I actually wouldn't bet any money on them but it wasn't too long ago that people were saying similar things about the Arizona Cardinals. Aging QB, questionable coach, young team, played in shitty division. And they made it to the Super Bowl and almost won. Now the Seahawks aren't as good as that Arizona team and don't have nearly as many weapons but anything can happen.

Yes, but the difference between the two aging QB's is that Warner was still good at the time, while Hasselbeck might be out as a starter after this year.

And they did have Fitzgerald and Boldin, who alone are better then everyone the Seahawks have to offer.

I'm suspecting 31ish to 10sh. This just screams massacre.

I'll agree Warner was better at the time than Hasselbeck is now and Arizona had a far better team. But Hasselbeck is a competent QB at times and has shown slight glimpses of his former self (pre-injury) throughout the season.

I don't think it'll be as big a "massacre" as people are claiming. The Saints are the far better team, but they have shown plenty of weaknesses (an over-reliance on Drew Brees and lack of a quality running game). The Buccaneers and Cowboys exposed those weaknesses and took advantage.

My head says the Saints will still win but it won't be complete domination, probably something like 31-21 or 31-24. But my gut says the Seahawks will sneak in a giant upset, winning by a field goal.

Seattle may have a shot, but it's not a very good one, NO went 6-2 on the road this year, Seattle went 5-3 at home, those 5 wins...

Week1-31-6 over and bad SF team
Week3-27-20 over a sub-par SD team
Week7-22-10 over a shit Arizona team
Week13-31-14 over Carolina, a team that only won 2 fucking games this season
Week17-16-6 over a St. Louis team that just fell apart

now lets take a look at those 3 losses

Week9- 41-7 Giants crush them with ease
Week12- 42-24 Chiefs answered every Seattle score with 2 scores of their own
Week15- 34-18 Falcons destroy them

Apparently when Seattle loses at home they lose big, and NO is team built to win big, Seattle hasn't beaten a single Playoff caliber team at home this season, in fact the two teams that they have faced that are in the playoffs outscored them by a combined score of 76-42 (a 34 pt. difference), also it should be noted that Seattle has only won back to back games one time this season (weeks 6-7), Seattle may have a shot but it's not a very good one

The Saints dont have much of a running game, but neither does seattle. I would give them a better chance if Hasselbeck plays over Whitehurst. I am happy seattle won because it shut this raider hating idiot up, he was running his mouth about how the Rams were going to the playoffs and the Raiders were going to be 7 and 9....Before either game started. To say the least he was wrong on both accounts.

They can beat Chicago...Because they already have. They beat Chicago at Chicago in week 6. Sacked Cutler 6 times. If they play the Bears they can win it. Also people forget that they already played the Saints in week 11 and lost by 15. Brees killed them for over 380 yards and NO rushed for 99 yards with one guy. BTW, Colston may not play.

BTW here is Hasselbecks stats for that game against NO.

32/44, 366 YDS, 1 TD

Not bad at all.

Who was the first one to say it on these forums? SEAHAWKS WIN! 41-36!

Fuck yeah! The Saints are such an obnoxious team with the dumbest fucking fans (those that I know) and could not take going through another Super Bowl win of theirs. The winds of change could be blowing this year, I'm going for the Seahawks or the Ravens! Now if Cena just stays out of the World Title picture til after Mania it will be a great year for the key

Us Houstonians have not forgotten how badly those Louisianians treated this place. Glad to see the Saints out.

Fuck New Orleans, after the citizens of that "great" city were relocated my town and high school turned to shit and, from what I've heard, has become even worse in the 3 years since I graduated. All sports teams based in Louisiana can fuck off IMO. Let the revolution begin!
