Hear me out here, Has the Nexus followed almost the same road as The Nation of Domination with the exception of there debut?
Let's examine a little closer..
- The Nation was a group lead by there leader Ron Simmons who dictated the factions every action.
- The Nexus was a group lead by there leader Wade Barrett who dictated the factions every action.
- The Nation gained a new member who went to overthrow the leader (The Rock)
- The Nexus gained a new member who went to overthrow the leader (CM Punk)
- The Nation would gain the World's Strongest Man Mark Henry introduced by The Rock
- The Nexus would gain a powerhouse in Mason Ryan introduced by CM Punk
- The Nexus broke off into different factions (Nexus/Corre)
- The Nation broke off into different factions (Nation/DOA/Los Boriquas)
- All of the different factions died off (Corre/DOA/Los Boriquas)
- The leader of the New Nation (The Rock) left to become a face and WWE Champion
- The leader of the New Nexus (CM Punk) left to become a "face" and WWE Champion
- The New Nation then consisted of a forgotten Tag Team of D-lo Brown & Mark Henry
- The New Nexus then consisted of a forgotten Tag Team of David Otunga &
Michael McGillicutty
Is this just a coincidence? or does this prove that WWE writers don't have what it takes to build story-lines for stables in the WWE anymore?
your thoughts?
