NXT Takeover: The Ascension VS ???

The tag team division in NXT is non-existent; it comprises of The Ascension squashing jobbers. As it's been reported that The Ascension are due to be called up to the main roster soon, one may assume that they will drop the titles soon. I imagine that they will drop them to Jason Jordan & Tye Dillinger who recently debuted their team on NXT. To me they look like the most thrown together team in history but hey, they have matching ring gear. Big tick from me!

Intro over, at NXT Arrival, The Ascension defended their titles in an open challenge against Too Cool. At NXT Takeover, I would much prefer them to defend them against another former team than Jordan & Dillinger who have only just debuted. Personally I would love to see Deuce & Domino (& Cherry) return for one night only. I was a big fan of their gimmick and theme music and would love to see them get another five minutes of fame.

Which team would you like see answer an open challenge by The Ascension?

If you want another '90s nostalgia act thats not currently under contract elsewhere than the only ones that could maybe still do it would be the Mean Street Posse or X-Factor (cringe).

However, I actually think a much more likely answer would be to have a returning Evan Bourne team with Tyson Kidd. Another less likely possibility would be a Hawkins and Ryder reunion.

They need to leave nxt and move up to the A Show monday night Raw theres nothing to do in nxt for them.

Okay if their gonna debut they need to come on as a Heel Team.

I say let them debut and attack the shield, and kane & the ascension vs the shield at payback would be perfect way to make the ascension important.

After the match The Ascension should turn on Kane and have a feud with kane.
After the feud is over put them in the tag team championship picture.

Nxt shouldn't all debut at once or we're have another nexus, so wwe needs to take it slow and bring one talent up at a time or a tag team at a time, cause i said it once and ill say it again nxt is where wwe's best talent is.

And they need proper build up then just a fight against the world feud that only gets 1 or 2 guys over.

I'd use Undertaker in the Ascension debut he could be the leader of a faction similar to Evolution with Undertaker having very few matches (Mainly partaking in 6 man tags). If Undertaker and Sting doesn't happen you could have Undertaker lose to Conor O'brian at either a future WM or even survivor series where O'brian could become a new Undertaker type character for a new generation.
