This son of a Plumber is a 3x NWA World Champion. He has had incredible feuds with both Ric Flair and Tully Blanchard of the 4 Horsemen. He is credited with inventing many of the WCW pay-per-view names and gimmicks, such as War Games, BattleBowl and Lethal Lottery. He is a member of the WCW, WWE and WON HoF.

Considered one of the best Tag Team Wrestlers he has won 11 Tag Team Titles with a variaty of people. He had most of his success in the NWA as a member of the IV Horsemen with Ric Flair, Ole Anderson & Tully Blanchard. He has won the PWI Feud of the Year (1987) Four Horsemen vs. Super Powers and the Road Warriors and PWI Tag Team of the Year twice once in 1989with Tully and once in 1991 with Larry Zybszko.

What is so great about this match up is the number of times these two crossed paths. Alot of the really neat match-ups in this thing have been venerable legends of the 50's - 70's taking on the guys from the 80's - 00's; guys who wouldn't have crossed paths otherwise.

But Rhodes and Anderson were partially defined by one another, as the battles between Rhodes and the Four Horsemen in the NWA were legendary. They've wrestled, they've fought. They've put each other over, they've put over others.

All in all, even though I feel Arn is a better overall professional wrestler, athlete, talker, thinker, psychologist, ring general, etc., Rhodes is the bigger legend. There's a reason the feud between Rhodes and the Horsemen came down to Rhodes vs Flair, not Anderson. Arn was often an enhancer - a guy who was great partially because of the talent around him. Rhodes was a top face regarless of if it was Terry Gordy, Barry Windham, or Magnum T.A. flanking him. Rhodes' character was among the first to identify with everyday folks, and he turned that into a legends star larger than Anderson's.
