To gain notoriety would it be a good idea for an upstart promotion to go back to how the UFC used to be? That is no weight limits. Would having a fight between somebody with no actual talent who's huge, go against somebody with talent, but smaller, make the promotion intresting to anybody? Names are just as important as talent these days. And I'm sure it's easier to promote somebody who knocks people out with lucky punches than it is to promote a talented grappler.
Are people easily amused by just watching a big muscular guy easily destroy somebody smaller fighter?
While it wouldn't have the best effect on MMA in general. I doubt it would change the perception of people who don't watch it.
Belwo is a fight that proves that size isn't important. Possibly a bad example because of how grossly obese Emmanuel Yarborough is.
