No More No Way Out

DA-DA Da Da Da Bah Da Da DADADA
No Way Out is now officially called "Elimination Chamber". This follows the changing of No Mercy to "Hell in a Cell" and Armageddon to "Tables, Ladders, and Chairs". Not only is there an overload of gimmicked PPVs, but the names of the PPVs that are getting changed were pretty much appropriate enough for the events to begin with. These new names are just so un-creative it's pathetic. Backlash and Judgment Day are the only non "Big 4" PPVs that are still intact and non-gimmicked, and that will probably change.

I think that the fact that the names of the PPVs are just the name of the gimmick match is pretty alarming as it really takes away from each event. Why not just call The Royal Rumble "30 Man Over The Top Rope Battle Royal to Decide the Number One Contender?"

The fact that they're really running with the gimmicked PPVs also really puts them in a hole creatively. TLC and Hell in a Cell matches should be feud enders, not continuers. The next time they're going to want to end a feud with a bang with something like HIAC, it's not going to have the same impact that it usually would.

I'm bored, so I've decided to make a list of the new WWE PPV calendar:

January: WWE Thirty Man Over The Top Rope Battle Royal to Decide #1 Contender at WWE's Biggest Event
February: WWE Elimination Chamber
March: WWE's Biggest Event
April: WWE Rematches From Last Month
May: WWE Last Man Standing
June: WWE Extreme Rules and WWE Kennel From Hell (featuring guest host Michael Vick)
July: WWE Champions Defend
August: WWE DX Returns Again
September: WWE Submission Matches
October: WWE Hell in a Cell and WWE Interpromotional Matches
November: WWE Eight Man Tag Match
December: WWE Tables, Ladders, and Chairs
