I can't believe King Booker has been the "five time, five time, five time, five time, five time" WCW Champion, yet he has yet to hold one of the top WWE Titles. Now is the time - with Booker contemplating retirement, they need to let him have at least one run as Champion. Even if it's just for a month before he gives it back to Batista, I'll be happy that he had at least one run. He definitely deserves it for all of his service to the company.

I just can't see Booker as Champion. He has played a comedy character ever since coming to WWE(apart from in his fued with TripleH) and he still plays one now. Must of the positive comments you hear about his current gimmick are "it's Funny" which it is. But should the guy carrying the brand and WHC be funny? IMO no.

I think he's good in the ring, but he doesn't have what it takes to be a main eventer. His character is pretty stale and boring to me. "King Booker" spiced his image up a bit, but the way they did King of the Ring this year was a joke anyways. Bottom line: Booker T should not be in the main event, but neither should Rey Mysterio. Like I said - that's just Smackdown for ya.

So he's been King Booker not very long and he's already stale? He had been Booker T for so long, so what made him fresh? I think Booker getting the World Title is long overdue and I DO think he belongs in the main event.

I enjoy Booker T and I think his King Booker thing thus far, and previously his imaginary injuries were fairly amusing. He's been a rather underrated performer for the last few years, he puts on a pretty good match, is quite agile and his mic skills are really quite good. He could easily do colour commentary when he retires.

He's also the logical choice to put the belt on to eventually transition it back to Batista as Mark Henry is tied up in his batista feud for the moment, and who else is there on Smackdown. That being said its nice to see Booker T getting to main event pay per views and hopefully a title run.
