This is where the PPV concept loses it's legs. People don't remember this title. It was held by, dare I say it, Benoit & Angle. And whoever participates in this match will probably have to battle the ''We want Benoit'' chants. Because nobody will give a shit about it, and wrestling fans are jokesters. My prediction is Miz & Nitro vs. Jesse & Festus. Unless we're really lucky and Slaughter & Snuka show up again. I pray.

The problem with this one is that Miz and Morrison have already beaten all their potential rivals (Yang and Moore, Jesse and Festus). WWE's best bet is probably to start pushing Hawkins and Ryder as part of "We got rid of Taker, now La Familia really takes over" angle. The Edgeheads are usually good fun to watch and might have some good matches with M&M.
(Oh, and yes, with so few viable tag teams at the moment combining the titles is clearly the smart thing to do...which guaranteed means that WWE won't do it. Gah).

Now this is confusing. It was pretty much a foregone conclusion a little while back that Morrison and Miz would lose their titles at Night of Champions....but how, now? Who the hell is suited to take it off these completely dominant (and doing a damn good job with the titles) guys? They had perfect opportunities in the past to give it to Jesse/Festus or Moore/Yang...but they didn't. Now, those two teams have been losing so much (or not on TV at all) that they no longer seem like threats, especially as they keep boosting Morrison up to become a main event star and Miz as someone who looks like a legit (if not one of the top) midcard wrestlers. Deuce & Domino? Give me a break.
There's no face tag team on ECW or Smackdown that is solid enough to run with the titles after NOC. In fact, are there any heels that could do it, either?
The more I think about it, the more I think we're going to get one of two things:
1. Morrison and Miz retain against Yang/Moore and/or Jesse/Festus.
2. Battle royal elimination contest where Hawkins and Ryder screw everyone and come out the tag champs. That way, Morrison and Miz don't need to be pinned and look bad, as they can be tossed out by everyone ganging up on them. Miz and Morrison seem too dominant to lose the titles to any Smackdown/ECW tag team. Heck, the only way i see them losing is if they face DX or the Brothers of Destruction.
I hope they have a little Tag Team Battle Royal or some match with multiple teams where Miz and Morrison dominate Moore/ Wang Yang, Deuce/Domino, Jesse/Festus, and the Egdeheads to retain.

I think that the idea of a battle royal would work pretty well, but I just can't see WWE making that type of match. I do have one possible idea of challengers to face Miz and Morrison and they are Finlay and Hornswoggle. Now, I know this seems crazy, but come on this is WWE we are talking about. i mean, they gave Hornswoggle the Cruiserweight title last year, why not the tag titles just for another "comedy angle." Plus, if i do recall, i believe Finlay and Hornswoggle have teamed together and defeated Deuce and Domino, a legitimate tag team. idk this is just a thought.

Occasional Pre-Show
After watching ECW last night I see Miz and Morrison defending angainst Kane and Punk. I think this is being set up because big show is more hurt than expected. I wouldn't be surprised if the ecw title match gets changed to Kane vs Punk. This way Kane and Punk win the tag titles at NOC and then for the first time ever co holders of the tag titles face each other for the ECW title later that night.

I to think its a good idea to unify the titles especially since ECW don't have a tag title. They should also make a new belt for the title. Both titles are colored after the Brand they represent. I think they should bring back the old design like how the WWE Tag Title is now but remove the blue. I dont like the World Tag Belts. They look weird and dont look like they have any prestige(like the spinner belt) even though they are the original WWE/F Tag Titles. Miz and Morrison should win it. Raw really dont have any true tag teams expect for Cryme Tyme.

Its been recently reported that the Big Show's injury is a bit more serious than they're letting on. So his Championship match may be held off. If thats the case, then Tuesday night would explain a lot. I think they could combine two Championship matches in one, if they're unable to have Big Show v. Kane.

I've been begging for a Tag Team Turmoil match for the tag titles forever now, and this would be the perfect place to do that, it would be a great way to get a bunch of guys on the card that would normally be left of this PPV due to the fact that they aren't in challenging of a singles title, it would also be a great way to have another heel team like say, Ryder & Hawkins

Well i think the best way would be Miz & Morrison vs Ryder & Hawkins vs Yang & Moore vs Jesse & Festus. I think if your gonna do it, they should have it come down to Yang & Moore and Ryder & Hawkins with Ryder & Hawkins cheating Yang & Moore for the win so they have the angle to go with right out of the PPV with 2 stronger tag teams.

They jumped the gun and booked them for ECW next week? Ah. That throws a wrench in all these predictions, then. I hadn't noticed that.
It'd be a shame if Morrison and Miz are left off the card of NOC just because they lose the titles on TV instead of at the ppv. John and Mike have been improving so much lately that they deserve that extra pay bonus.
Now that we know Big Show is most likely going to be medically cleared, though, I think they might just get the tag title shot for Kane/Punk out of the way on ECW, have Morrison and Miz retain, and do the planned Kane/Show match. They were probably just covering their asses in case Big Show wouldn't be cleared.

I highly doubt Kane & Punk will be involved in this match, Kane has a match with Show for the ECW title, and from what I've heard it sounds like Show is gonna be good to go for that match, so it unlikely that Kane will be involved in the this match at all, and I don't see the point of having them lose the titles on TV and then having a rematch on PPV, a couple weeks later, cause it would just make the match pointless really, I mean look at how WWE handles title rematches, they set the match up and almost always somehow have the champion(s) retain the tile(s), and if they were to have Miz & Morrison lose the titles on TV just to win them back a couple weeks later that would make the the other team involved run look like one of the most pointless championship runs ever, there would be no point to do it like that, it would make more sense for them to have a tag title match on TV and have them retain by either DQ or count-out cause they realize they are about to be beat, and then Long come out and make a re-match for NOC with an added stipulation, either make it a No DQ, No Count out match, or go with the "if you intentionally get DQ or counted out you lose the tag titles" stipulation, though I'd much rather see Tag Team Turmoil instead
Im just going to throw out some crazy scenarios for the tag title match at noc. With the draft being a week before the ppv, it is very legitimate that 2 things could happen. 1 being that the tag champions get split onto 2 different shows, so they have to forfeit their titles and we have a battle royal or some tag team turmoil thing to crown a new champion. The second thing is that 1 of the raw tag teams gets drafted to smackdown or ecw and challenges miz and morrison. I think seeing miz/morrison vs london and kendrick would be an incredible match. It would also give maybe Cryme Tyme the opportunity to finally get a title match. How many times has this team been or won their way into being the #1 contenders and then just never get their title match? I think either of those 2 teams will be going up against miz/morrison.
After Smackdown I'm making the prediction that it'll be the champs vs. Hornswoggle & Finlay. I don't mind them promoting this match. It'll at least get the match some heat. Hornswoggle is the most over of the four. But I'd be pissed if they put the titles on Finlay & Hornswoggle. I didn't mind the Cruiserweight championship. That title was elevated by being around the midget. But not the tag titles. It'll only be acceptable if the get rid of them a few weeks later.
Well, first-off, I think the Cruiserweight title was actually starting to go somewhere for a while until Helms got hurt, and Hornswaggle won the title. I mean, little people have been a part of the wrestling biz for a while now, but putting them in title matches doesn't really do much for the prestige of the belt. As far as Finlay and Hornswaggle in a tag championship match goes, it might work for a little bit, and make Finlay look a bit tougher since he'll obviously be doing most of the work. Personally, I'd like to see Shannon Moore and Jimmy Yang be the ones to take them off the champs. I just hope that when Miz/Morrison finally DO lose them, they keep their Dirt Sheet show.

I just looked at the ECW spoilers for a week from now, and you're right, it's gonna be Miz/Morrison vs. Finlay/Hornswoggle for the WWE Tag Titles at NOC. But if Finlay and Hornswoggle win, they'll probably have Vickie strip them of the titles for Hornswoggle's safety, and give them to Hawkins/Ryder. At least that's what I see.

Man, I really, really hope that if they do book such a stupid match, that Morrison and Miz wipe the floor with them. They've been looking very strong, lately, so if they don't win this match, it HAS to have been done just because they're high on Finlay (or his "senior producer" role is starting to help his career).
Hornswoggle's already been a champion and in the Royal Rumble...they sure as hell don't need to give him anything else. If they do, then Creative must just be brain dead or on something very strong.

Ok, after the last edition of SD it looks like it's going to be Finlay and Hornswoggle against Miz and Morrison now. God help us. Hopefully Miz and Morrison will clean up, hopefully by doing something very nasty to that repulsive little creature in green. Which might be worth watching. There's no way this can be credibly be a competitive encounter, not the way that Miz and Morrison have been demolishing the opposition on SD and ECW.

I was really hoping for a tag team turmoil match, as I haven't seen one in a while and I'm a big fan of those. But it does seem as if Hornswoggle and Finlay are the choices that WWE is going with. Thats all fine you know whatever, but its really Morrison and Miz vs. Finlay with comedy in between. It will be halfway entertaining, which is all we can ask for until they put Morrison & Miz into a fued that involves them dropping the titles.Either way I think its about time Morrison and Miz to drop the titles to somebody (preferably not Finlay and Hornswoggle) because Morrison is destined for a great singles career.
my thoughts on the wwe tag team championship is that i agree with HBK4444 i was hoping for a tag team turmoil and i would just like to point out that jimmy wang yang has been suspended for 30 days for his first violation of the company’s policy which means that yang and Shannon are not competing for titles cause he wont make it and i really hope they out cm punk ad kane vs morrsion and the miz.

Kane/Punk - Could work, but that's squandering the gifts. Does Kane need the ECW title and a tag team title, and Punk with the briefcase and tag team titles? Nope. Plus they've lost every challenge so far.
Yang/Moore - No. Plus, Yang's suspended.
Jesse/Festus - Not any more.
Deuce/Domino - Give me a break.
Finlay/Hornswoggle - Finlay could have a tag title, and he could beat the Miz without making him look too badly...but Hornswoggle utterly ruins and destroys the credibility of the tag team. I'd rather have anybody else as a tag team champion than Hornswoggle.

Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne?
Think about it. They could fit well into the midcard, but they could also be a very good tag team as they proved last night. The crowd eats these guys up and they're both fresh. If they want to give us a very entertaining match, Kofi/Bourne vs Morrison/Miz should be fantastic if they allow them to keep a fast pace throughout it. Give Kofi/Bourne a quick win at the end, pinning Miz, and it'd be legit.
Of course, we have no clue what will end up happening during the draft....so this may be pointless to talk about.

As said before, who's Miz and Morrison got left to beat? No one, so then the only plausible threat to their reign wud surely b to have more than one set of challengers right? If they retain then no one can dispute that they are a great tag team, and if they lose (which they shud) then time to build up another team.
I say they shud lose not because i don't enjoy them as champs, i really do. But i don't watch the Dirt Sheet on WWE.com so i never see these guys giv any promos, and they never seem to giv promos on tv either. Morrison shud b fueding with Kane or someone on the Smackdown roster and Miz deserves by now to b in the mid card tier definitely, involved in fueds that promote their skills and prepare them for the ME tier and becoming the faces of the company in later years. But right now, this tag reign IMO is holding these guys back drastically, in contrast to someone like Jeff who rarely ever defended his title yet got the biggest push of his career so far.
