NCAA Bowl Week 2010

2 HUGE first downs for the Irish, and this game's all but over. HUGE pass on 3rd and long to convert, then Cierre Wood goes 20 on on 1st and ten right after.

Notre Dame kicking off (after a FG) up 16 with 80 seconds left.

Miami got whipped like they stole something. Didn't even want ANY part of ND. They can no longer be called "The U"...Not one strong leader on the team, fuck sake.
Miami played like shit for 3 quarters and ND played really strong. ND gonna be good next year.
AND HOLY SHIT dude, UCF is like "we dont give a FUCK about that black G on your red helmet BITCH"

I cant beleive that score
It's 6-3 Georgia. I'm surprised. UCF was ranked, Georgia wasn't. Oh, and UCF shouldn't give a damn about the black G on their helmet.

Miami is really playing strong here in the 4th. Moving the ball to try and get a useless TD as time expires.

Notre Dame wins, and on the last play the Miami receiver is led right into a wall out of the back of the End Zone.

GREAT game for ND fans, although the 4th was a little sketchy because of the 2 top players on the field being out (Michael Floyd and Manti Te'o).

Shannon did a good job. And they got rid of him because all he did was clean up the football program. That wasn't enough, he needed to clean it up and make them the best in the country. Too lofty expectations for a program that really fell on hard times.

And Miami's still in this. The Morris kid is playing good football (and Manti Te'o and Michael Floyd aren't in the game). ND up 13 with 4 minutes to go.

I know, its a shocker that a high-profile college fired it's coach after 2 7-5 seasons, a 5-7 season, and one 9-3 season. :disappointed:

No, Miami made the right move. That's like saying ND firing Charlie Weis was a bad move because, throwing out the one bad year in 07, he was .500 or better each year. (For the record it was the right move firing Weis, but it's a similar example)

The fact is, Miami EXPECTS to be relevant in the national title picture again, and I see no problem with that. They're in Florida, one of the biggest recruiting bases in all of America. Hell, you probably wouldn't have to move out of a 50 mile radius of the campus and you could field a credible team. Shannon was a decent recruiter and did a good job at changing the image of the program from a bunch of thugs, but he wasn't that good of a coach.

It shall be very curious to see who Lou Holtz picks in the opening week next year. Does he stay as the homer he is and pick ND, or does he throw his son a bone and pick USF? I'd be surprised if he went against ND, because he'll probably pick them to win the national title next year, just like he has pretty much every year since he's been on ESPN.

EDIT: The 01 National Champion team didn't have that many thugs, did they?

11-9 (and another loss looming if UGA can't score a TD soon). Been a rough day. Had USF for the win originally, then switched to Clemson last night. Stupid me.

EDIT: And would anyone else love it if the SEC went 0-3 to start off the bowl season? (should South Carolina and Georgia lose, that is) I'd love it. Even if it's their bottom teams.

Holtz will pick a tie. Or refrain from picking the game. Then he'll pick ND to be in the BCS Title game.

Georgia got lucky that UCF player is down otherwise another 10 seconds might've been burnt off the clock.

Two big time fourth down conversions on this drive for Georgia. This game hasn't been all that exciting, scoring wise, but we may have a memorable finish.

There's gonna be a review to put the 2 seconds on the clock that shouldn't have run off.

Free timeout for Georgia.

And Mark Richt's seat just got hotter. He better turn it around in 2011 or he'll be seeing a pink slip in his room.

agreed. His team lost to a better team today though. UCF was better.

And did anyone else notice how happy Lou Holtz looked during the intro to the postgame?
