My Trip To Orlando For Impact

Baximus

Pie Eater AND Jabroni Beater
So this was my big weekend trip down to Orlando to check out TNA live for both Impact shows. Just off of the top, I won't spoil next Monday for anyone, but i will speak in vague generalities about the event.

I have to say that I was really impressed with the caliber of Monday's show. My friends and I made a ton of signs and stood right along the ramp coming in. We were the ones with the giant R-V-D signs and a number of other ones and the crowd was really hot the whole night.

The show has recieved what appears to be universal praise across the internet and let me tell you that it was even better in person. It really brought me back to the days of 'anything can happen' that were the hallmark of the original Monday Night Wars.

Anyways, I haven't marked out as hard as I did for RVD's title win in close to a decade. We had three lengthy matches to highlight the night and the Impact Zone went nuts for Samoa Joe's return. I really love great returns in wrestling and I'm already excited about Angle's eventual return.

A bit off topic: I love what TNA is doing with rotating top guys in and out of the scene. If you noticed, when Sting came back was about the time Joe left. When Angle left, Joe came back. It seems like they're rotating a top guy out for a month or two to give them some time to heal up and give the excitement of the return, something I've been advocating for a long time.

Sorry about the essay but I really enjoyed the weekend and if TNA can continue to tell stories like this then they're really going to be on to something. From Lockdown through the 2nd Impact Taping, I couldn't have had a better time or enjoyed the tapings more.

I'm really excited to hear this. TNA put on one of the best television shows in recent memory in both companies. The storylines and the matches have been unreal and i don't think I've this excited about professional wrestling in a long time.

Looks like you had a great time, i cant wait to go to an TNA event. And did you mark out when you saw JOE and AJ in person.

Actually funny story there: J.B. comes out when it went to commercial right after Sting and Double J came to the ring and announces to everyone what is going on and he explains the rule and says "We don't know who the 4th man is" and my friends and I started a "We want Joe" chant and J.B. walks right over to us and says again "No Idea", then holds the mic right at us and then says again "No Idea at all".

LOL it was really funny because we all knew it had to be Joe after that.

Sounds fun. If you could can you explain how you get the seats you want. Is it first come first serve or can you pick if you want the floor or seat? Did you line up real early? If I ever do go to some tapings I would only want the floor it I was in the first row if not I would like seats.

Email [email protected] and they'll send you an email and it will instruct you where to go to get your numbered ticket to get in line. In-park guests get first dibs but if you're going on vacation and plan on going in anyways, you can get near the front of the line and get a spot on the rail.

If not, like I did, you can still get a spot on the rail near the ramp or stand in the 2nd group. Our spot was fantastic and the action was easy to watch with 1,500 of your closest friends. There's not a bad spot in the entire Impact Zone.

Just beware the 'Crucial Crew', who I seriously think were getting annoyed at us for stealing their chant-starting thunder. Though we did seem to be standing next to a few of their biggest idiots so I don't want to judge the group as a whole. Regardless of the two morons near us, I would drive the ten hours again to see the two tapings in a heartbeat, though I'd probably go the day of a Pay Per View and stay for 3 shows.

Yeah if I do go I would make it like, get to the park when they open and head straight there to get in line first and just wait. I wasn't sure if like first person had first dibs on where they wanted to stand or had to go all the way to the end.

I used to go to TNA tapings and PPV's all the time. Now I won't set foot in there due to the fact that I cannot stand Hulk Hogan.

They give out numbered tickets and then put people in the line according to the number so you don't have to wait in line all day, they'll put everyone in order at like 4:30 or 5:00.

I highly reccomend making the trip. Bring some signs, cheer a lot and have a good time! I know I'll be going back again soon, probably in a few months for the Victory Road show and the two Impacts afterwards.

Isn't Studio 21 in Universal? You don't have to pay a whole bunch of money and go through Universal just to get to see TNA. Right?

I used to go to TNA shows back when they were in the Asylum, and went back this past December when I didn't make the tryouts for FCW... I must say that TNA shows are always amazing, and my favorite part about it all is that AJ Styles will always come by and sign an autograph. Well I'm not sure if he does it as a heel now, but he did when they were in Nashville.

I'm looking to check out a TNA show or more this summer, but I don't know if I'm going to be coming home afterwords.

I have one question though, is admission still free or did they go up to $10? I remember in the asylum when they started charging $10 for admission during their final days there.
